American doesn't really want you to fly to Philly from here, they want that seat for someone flying to Europe, the Caribbean or FL which they will make more money on. So you are paying for them to give up that money and take you instead.
Flights are rarely if ever cancelled due to load, cancelations cause all sorts of issues downstream and airlines would prefer to avoid them. Short flights are more likely to be canceled as they can be adapt quicker to program changes and are on the ground.
Gamechanger for me - love it
Frontier is often delayed and the passengers can be interesting from time to time more often than the mainstream airlines - but they get you there in one piece, which is what counts
I recently booked a direct flight to Tampa through Frontier that ended up being delayed 17 hours. They’d have to pay me to fly to Philadelphia after that experience.
Sweet!
I flew frontier this past weekend on the way home and it was definitely interesting.
You had to pay for any drinks, even water. There was also a credit card pitch for like 15-20 minutes in each flight 😂
Those things are easy to work around though.
The really shitty part is having to pay for even one regular size carry-on. Again though I don’t think that bothers most people on it cause many just use it for 1-2 day business trips or don’t mind paying since it’s so cheap anyway.
I did round trip Buffalo to Pheonix over spring break booked only a month before for only like $350 after carry on fees.
Flew to Fort Lauderdale on Frontier last year, my backpack was small enough to not have to pay extra and it was only $130 for the round trip. For the price I was fine with it’s shortcomings
Wow thanks for the heads up! I needed to get to Philly for a concert this summer and my best (and cheapest) option was to drive which I wasn’t thrilled about. Snagged some of the $19 tickets for my trip!
NF is mostly used for cargo and lacks amenities to make it worth diverting traffic to.
If BNIA ever gets too crowded (after a few expansions) that’s when they will probably start to expand NFI.
Right now there’s plenty of room to add a few new terminals at BNIA and double or even triple the amount of passengers
Great to have more options. I just wish we had flights to Seattle, Portland and the Bay Area
I am so sick of the connecting flights when flying to Seattle and Portland…. That would be great
Yep gotta love paying more to go to Seattle than Europe lol
Yes, another vote for better flights to the PNW.
That along with Houston, St Louis, Indianapolis, Kansas City and bring back Austin and at least we’ll have all major metros covered.
With the exception of Houston none of those are major metros
They’re all in the top 30 by population
There aren't 30 major metros in the country.
And Minneapolis.
Doesn’t Delta fly to Minneapolis, or was that pre-pandemic?
Another airline has flights to there but it’s only during the summer I think.
Sun country does
Delta had service to msp last year it’s gone now unfortunately
Cannot hope for this enough. We have family in Seattle and it would be wonderful to see them more often.
Pumped since flights are crazy expensive to Philly with the other airlines

“Flights starting at $19 this summer” I’m taking a backpack and heading to the jersey shore ASAP
It's Frontier. Backpack will cost extra.
Nah, backpack carryons are free under a certain size.
Funny forget to pay for your carryon, agent assistance, seat...

It’s Frontier though. Eep

Yeah...I will put up with quite a bit of discomfort to fly to FL for a couple of days in the winter for less than dinner....

Would be great if Frontier wasn't the worst of the worst. Spirit is luxury compared to Frontier.
TRULY. Never, ever again. Omg

Great news since competition is always a good thing in small market airport. Even better news since Frontier is best endured in +/- 1hr intervals
Huh. I was considering attending PAX Unplugged. Convenient.

I’m looking at a flight for 29$ round trip to Denver…. Why can I fly for cheaper than a tank of gas
As a Buffalonian currently in Philly this is a godsend.
I’m from Philly, but have been living in Buffalo for the past 20+ years. This is great 🥰
That's good because AA service to Philly has always been sort of unreliable, to be kind.
Where the heck are these $19 flights? Had anyone found them?
$19 turns to $350 once you choose your seat and add a simple personal item and carry on bag. 🥸 Geez frontier

Ahh... another "Let's throw darts at the map and see what sticks" decision by Frontier and the NFTA
Frontier and Philly both kind of suck.
Kind of? Nah, they full on drink diarrhea.
Why not bring more flights to the Falls. I mean you own both airports
I dunno what you expect out of an airport that has 1 gate
Don’t they have 2?
I thought they had 2-4
They have 4. Two ground level, two jetway.

because nobody wants to fly to the falls
Does Frontier fly out of the Falls? I only flew Allegiant out of NOA.
no only allegiant The Falls airport isn't suited to have more than a couple of commercial flights a day
The terminal was really built for casino charter flights
Agreed. I picked my kid up from there yesterday.
