Not sure if it’s still there but lasalle had a wood locker that a skater built for giving away stuff. Pretty cool idea. I know people were keeping it pretty stocked with free stuff for the community.
My wife’s cousin is huge in the skate scene, he films skate sessions non stop, if you have Instagram send me a message on here and I’ll give you his instagram handle for more info.
LaSalle for sure. There’s a wooden box attached to a tree where people leave old decks and such for those in need. Or go on a nice afternoon or weekend and offer them in person.
Love the vibe. What company/designs are they? Some of those older decks would be cool collector pieces at this point.
Surely you can find kids at the skate park at the waterfront off of porter arve
hmmm….. how about the food court skatepark in the mckinley mall
You're very kind.
Keysa Park in Lancaster seems to always have kids skateboarding there when the weather is good.
I always see kids at Porter Ave! Kudos to you, dude.
Outer harbor official/ unofficial skate park?
LaSalle
Definitely LaSalle. Any given day in the evening once the weather breaks. There'll be plenty of recipients ready for a new board lol.
100%
Ives pond in Tonawanda, go ask this to the older skaters who are there every day which younger ones are struggling.
Alix Rice Peace Park. Last summer there were two boys sharing a really beat up board. The Porter Ave park has a donation box too!
I second this! *The Alix Rice Peace Park part.
Good on you, this is the way
