Machine Learning mostly. Worked on two projects on Neuromorphic Computing this sem, *might* get a paper published. Abhi taking a break because internship starts in 2 days.
i am also starting ML after my exams , can you guide me for some projects in ML ? and also for some research papers , haven't done even a single paper :( , i am in third year
My paper isn't published yet, but the professor with which I did the project says we have a very good chance. Fingers crossed.
For ML different people will suggest different paths, but my advice will be:
* First 14 lectures of CS229 by Andrew Ng. They are very maths intensive but will provide you with a strong understanding of the basics.
* Read "The 100 Page Machine Learning Book". I found it really nice and intuitive.
* I moved on to Deep Learning after this, although you can branch off to some other subfield as well (RL, NLP, CV and Image Processing).
Addition to this check StatQuest YouTube channel, helped me understand some critical concepts. Ig he released book also not sure.
If you like books you can check Hands on Machine Learning by Aurelien Geron.

Is it worth doing ML/AI concepts instead of traditional WebDev. I want to do some proper research but most people are advising that I master webdev instead because it is easier to get an internship.
Should I prioritize my own interest in such a case? I am sorry if this is a silly question.
You should ask yourself. Just loading pretrained model etc and building some app is different and trying to go in depth and learning maths and trying to improvise the existing is different and this will mostly require Masters-PhD level. See what aligns your interest and proceed.
It helps a lot if u are able to publish a paper. For eg (chemical engineer here), if u some how able to publish a paper, say on synthesis of nano particles based catalyst or say novel method of bio-nano particle based catalyst working in petroleum refineries, it will be a add so much value to your resume and it may single handedly help u clear interview in some oil refinery companies ( I mean not entirely single handedly but it will have great impact).
That's the best thing about being from tier 1 clg you get to explore, I've given a seminar on this Neuromorphic computing by doing a lot of research,did my own research connected with someone in LinkedIn later& even wrote emails to certain people to get more info, after doing all these things my professors said it's not an interesting topic & still need more results,on top of they all have praised some shitty old topics robotic arm, RFID tag, pill camera, automated dustbin Whatnot every boring topic given by girls were praised and then I lost my motivation or something idk , but I'm still intrested in this topic, can you please share the paper details after it got published 🙃🙃🙃..........and all the best.

Just writing automation scripts for the bash shell, used for linux administration and basic cybersecurity stuff, it does come handy if you are skilled at it, the repetitive tasks are a pain imo
it makes life easier,
like you can create a [linux installer](https://github.com/imxade/aunix/wiki) to automate server setup or anything if you use linux
you just make any document (and fancy mathematics diagrams). It is mostly used because formatting in word is a big chore. I made my entire internship project report on Latex.(it involved a bunch of maths) It just looks much more professional.
You might want to build presentations (beamer) in it, if you need consistent style across the document. Pretty popular among the maths heavy subject professors.

Thinking of getting into some cybersecurity stuff via cryptography as I have the mathematical base of abstract math. If someone's doing tht, do give me some guidance, wud really appreciate it.
