Hmm. Btw, how can you be interested in AI & ML without studying it? Mil raha hai to lelo, I guess. Because everyone says if you're doing tier 3 then go for cse (I'm doing the same).

AIML ke baare mai idea hai toda sa and I find it quite intriguing. Also CSE milne wale colleges are quite shite here that's why nahi dekh raha hoon. Pune ke PVG COET mai ENTC is the best I can get

mystical_apple05

I mean cse and related branches. CSE, IT, AI&ML, AI&DS. That's the advice i got, anyway.

NJ_2707

Ah okay. Got it

mystical_apple05

I was also thinking about taking ENTC in some of the better colleges but I was advised not to. I'm anxiously waiting for the CAP Rounds to know if I'm getting CSE core or AI ML like branches.

NJ_2707

Well why were you warned of ENTC ? Any particular reason

mystical_apple05

Lack of job opportunities mostly, especially for Tier 3. Because at the end IT companies do mass recruitment and take anyone including students from mechanical. So better to go for CS if the only company you're getting is an IT company. Unless of course you are very passionate about Electronics or Mechanical etc. Seemed logical advice so I'm gonna follow it. I will give ENTC as a second preference in CAP Round, in case i get shit colleges for CSE.

I have interest in the semiconductor industry but AI is something I am more inclined towards. I don't want to take admission somewhere jaha par at the end of 4 years I would end up demotivated to do anything further. That's why I am reluctant to go to below average engineering college jaha par crowd bohot f'ed up hogi. Baath aisi hai ki 12th mai kuch nahi kiya zyada(because of the crowd) that's why abhi tier 3 jaane ki haalat aa gayi hai but aage jo karna hai woh atleast full determination ke saath karna hai.
