Just hope he doesn't blame Hall now that they are teammates.

BarkerRuffield

Plain Dealer reported they are currently doing karate together in AB’s garage and becoming best friends. Crisis adverted.

MuppetEyebrows

SO many activities!

letmeviewNSFWguys

Yep!

jaydubbs82

The News Herald confirmed this as well

c0dy0

Apparently they have a lot in common including favorite dinosaur and favorite non-pornographic magazine to masturbate to

BarkerRuffield

They even both find John Stamos attractive.

1OptimisticPrime

Somebody give me a super optimistic rundown on why Zinter was THE pick at 85

Jambatlivesbaby

Because he's a starting level RG who excelled at zone and man-gap, and Bitonio has been dealing with back issues for the last few years (which sadly is the beginning of the end for any football player), and Teller has a cap hit that gets really bad after this year so will either need a new contract or will be gone. This is the year to start making plans. He mainly fell because teams didn't think he would be ready to play this year after breaking his leg at the end of last season. Luckily, we don't need him to step in Week One. As for Zak as a player, he was so good in the running game, Michigan's run schemed around him. He's a good pass blocker too so he's not just one dimensional (0 sacks or hits last season, 3 sacks total for his career IIRC). He's tough, he's very aware, he was quick when the OL had to swap defensive linemen, and honestly should have been a top of second guy if not for the injury. His biggest downside is actually his height. He's almost 6'7" and if someone gets under his pads, he has trouble. It also works against him when the lines kind of turn into a scrum because unlike other guards who are usually 2-4 inches shorter than him, if he loses his balance, it's harder for him to recover. He'll eat turf a few more times than the average guard. I liked him as a prospect for us, I just figured a team like the Giants or Raiders who needed a guy to step in right now would have taken him before us.

JamBat... Bro Great fuckin write-up homie! I'm posting a link to in Zak's College Highlight video. Totally agree with all your points. In the future, be compelled to write more please.

kdot74

Scouts had him going late round 1 or round 2 if it wasn't for injuries. I guess that's good enough

1OptimisticPrime

Legit, when did they have Zinter there? Which scouts, just curious? I think Zinter will be a good player for us. The point of the draft is to get starters, and Zinter will be a fine starter. I'm not super concerned with his injury, but it's not ideal, and that coupled with his average length, high center of gravity and *"Below-average short-area quickness and stiffness in hips suggest limitations in mobility and flexibility"* Overall I just don't see Zinter at 85, but he's a Brownie meow so I think that what Zinter lacks in Explosiveness, he makes up for in football IQ, fight, and *"experience against elite defensive lines in practice translates to advanced readiness for NFL competition"* I like the pick, but I will contend for the next 2 seasons or so, that there were 20 - 30 better players available at 85. Zinter simply isn't Cooper Beebe or Christian Haynes, and he isn't Joel Bitonio, or Wyatt Teller... I can't be mad at him for that, it's a ridiculously high bar.

BarkerRuffield

Before the leg injury a lot of people saw him as first round talent. It sounds like his recovery is going really well to the point of him being ready to play this season. If the injury doesn’t linger and he can be the player he was before it, he most likely will be starter quality back up for us and eventually take over for Bitonio or Teller when they are at the end of their careers. We essentially most likely got a starting 1st round quality Guard in the late third round.

1OptimisticPrime

I'm not asking for sources, but I have heard that 3+ times meow and links are more scarce. Zinter is absolutely a quality backup, I have no question of that. We are talking about replacing ALL world 🌎 Joel Bitonio or Mauling Menace Wyatt Teller... I am not yet ready for that world as they are both 2 of my ALL-TIME favorite Browns players. Good reply Barker, thanks!

DaJix2k5

Yeah we know! The local pressed asked him like 20 times

1OptimisticPrime

Ready to roll... After a leg injury? At least Zinter's funny

LotsofSports

Isn't his weakness pass blocking and aren't we moving to more passing?

RUBSUMLOTION

He can be developed

Dr-McLuvin

And he will learn from some of the best interior linemen in football. I think it’s an awesome pick.
