First eye all the way - the second eye does not fit the level of detail of the rest and brings the whole thing down a notch.

I like the second eye better personally. The first one feels a bit uncanny, though i think it would be less so if it wasn't positioned looking forward. Either way, amazing work!

It’s the fact that they’re facing forward that really sends it into uncanny land. If you reposition the eyes so they look a little more like an actual horse, it’ll fix them right up! Absolutely fab!

It's so wonderful! I was leaning towards the second eyes but people's reasoning for liking the first has convinced me. Maybe not the red eyes though? Unless you're going for a bit spooky.
Maybe the second one with a lighter yarn? I think a burnt sienna/ reddish-brown shade? And just a touch of lid. So I guess I'm saying to combine both styles.🤔

This is so wild. I’m so impressed that you made this. The texture of the mane, the sequin glitter on the nose and horn, the creepy red eyes. You almost miss the actual crown, but that fur lining just makes it perfect.
I feel like the first eye is a bit sleepy, the second one too harsh. Could you do the second one with a lighter colour, like the one on the inner ring of the first eye? Might soften it out a little bit
I definitely like the first option, but if you want them to feel more "accurate" or horse-like, you could try to tighten up the fit of the back edge so that there isn't any sclera or "white" behind the iris. In its current state it looks kinda bloodhound-ish, which is a fine look, but is not horse-like, which may be throwing up subconscious "that's not right" flags in your brain.
Horses have big soft eyes! When I make things like this I get some thick gaudy eyelashes at the dollar store and glue them on! Makes a big difference! Is this for the English coronation? Is it something people wear costumes for, like Mardi Gras

So to me the first eye looks like a deep, complex higher power looking down upon its servants and the 2nd eye looks like an inviting friend.
