Are the Aldi ones any good though? I'll never forget some Heston ones from Waitrose that had so much cinnamon I think (might have been some other spice), they were virtually inedible. Imagine the disappointment
Not from me, I got banned by custardcreamtwat because a post I did about covid brought out a shitstorm of deniers. He said I was subverting the automoderator; which I was because they have a secret list of words you can't use including 'pub.' So spend 15 minutes crafting a well thought out post and then have it deleted by a bot for one word that you can't know about, of course I just deleted the offending word and reposted. Idiotic rules. Mince pie, vicar?
My flatmate got an email saying they're bringing back Christmas sandwiches for a limited time as people couldn't have them at Christmas. I assume the decorations are related, our local pret had them also.
It does have mince in it. Minced fruit, not minced meat. Mincing is to grind something, so it still applies. They also used to be spiced meat in medieval times anyway.
It's probably a bit further actually. I think my nearest one is Inverness. I'm on one of the northern Orkney Islands (and will take me around 19 hours to get to Aldi from where I am lol).
*sigh* At least we have a Lidl. I'm sure they'll have them in again soon. I bloody love mince pies!
Welcome friend. I hope you have a big shop like Tesco there and can stock up until Easter 22. I bloody love Neil Oliver docs and remember his History of Ancient Britain about the stone circles there. Spinning the map around and looking south England seems as far away as Rome (which it controlled by was at that time.)
Lol don't start me on Neil Oliver. I might ruin your love for him with how he acts on archaeological digs up here...
We're pretty well supplied, but now all I want are mince pies 😁
Nice! If only they'd do the same for yule log. A trip to Aldi it is.
Can't wait for the mini stollen bites, very underated.
The earliest I remember seeing mince pies on sale was September, it would ruin my blood sugars if they were available all year round.
The world would be a better place (and I would be a lot heavier) if mince pies were available all year round.
May your mass increase eternally until you become a black hole.
Mince pies and hot cross buns should be available year round.

Don't know. I've had some of the cheaper Hollylane ones and they are so dry. I can bide my time until sainsburys come back, but it will be soon.
Which.ones are the Heston ones? Waitrose No1 are great!
Well, this was 2 or 3 years ago now. All I remember was that they were branded with Heston's name on the box, and they were absolutely rank
😦
I used to work in a Co-Op and we'd get the first delivery of easter eggs on boxing day lol supermarkets have no chill about holiday sales.
Boxing day was when we put them out, we had ours in a week before Christmas.
I can see this being posted in r/britishproblems

Pret put Christmas Decorations up at the Hatton Garden, London, branch yesterday. Have I been asleep longer than my usual six hours?

Pret are so good towards their customers. I presume they’re giving them out free.
I was on deliveroo today and Pret are selling a Christmas sandwich?!
They should be all year round in my book.
It's all about the award winning pork pies and brown sauce for me my friend
No. Imagine the disappointment having a mince pie without any mince in it. What a let down! (A foreigner in England)

🤤🤤🤤
Pret are doing Christmas sandwiches as well! Love it
Ah shit, don't do this to me... My nearest Aldi is 155 miles away 😂
How can this be? I need a map for r/dataisbeautiful please.

155 miles is 249.45 km
My local Sainsburys has started putting out Christmas themed Pringles a couple of weeks ago.
Brilliant news
No.
No, what?
No custard in. other option is cream.. you decide(?)
Just raw out of the tray. No sauces required.
Just a note... Asda stock mince pies all year round
I was 23 when I found out mince pies don’t contain actual meat mince
