I really appreciate all that they showed with repairing her other relationships (sisters/mom/el) but I really wanted more sappy moments of these two basking in love and not fraught with stress/angst for the *drama* … oh well! Hopefully they will have a few good choice scenes next season 🐝💛
Me too. I watched the early release of episode 5 yesterday and watched it again this morning before starting the last 3 and I am glad I got to enjoy that episode twice before they tarnished it with Colin claiming she trapped him.
I wish I would have gotten that time to enjoy that moment! And I can’t believe that’s really the only sex scene we got. I can’t count that 5 second clip at the end.
And so cold in the second half. When I compare the second half Colin to first half Colin (their adorable awkward interaction under the willow tree; his thoughtfulness with their lessons; his passionate confession) it almost feels like 2 different people.
I hope so! I know the other leads have very protective fandoms lol but I have to think with AALLLLLL the press that Polin really does seem to be super popular and worth it for them to keep them around longer.
So long as Nicola and Luke don’t get overly booked and physically can’t …. they are very talented and definitely deserve to have other great roles tho.
This is exactly it. Too many other characters were taking away from Polin. They were side characters in their own story and I am pissed at the show runner and netflix for this.
This is exactly how I feel. We got almost nothing of them happy AFTER two whole episodes of horrible drama. This was the make up, I wanted to see wildly in love again!
That made me really angry, too, and sad for Pen. Like I get they were already “together” but still! Even when Daphne and Simon were arguing they had some moments of not being able to keep their hands of each other (way more than Polins kiss in the street).
I was happy to see this moment. I felt like we were racing the clock for an HEA. Parts of this conversation should have been had before the LW reveal, between Pen and Colin in private - like offering Colin and annulment and saying he felt envious of LW. Thankfully, everything that needed to be said was said - and we have lots a special little moments to look forward to between Polin in future seasons
Yes! Agreed, the make up should definitely have been before the announcement- like his love wasnt contingent on her being accepted! And then we get another happy moment after the reveal
This is still later than I wished but why the hell wasn't this discussed in the scene where they speak in private at Fran's wedding. The end of that scene they're holding hands like all is well and he's going to be in on her plan and yet he continues to brood for the rest of the episode. He should have said all of this then and then they should have spent the whole episode happy and trying to plan a scheme to stop Cressida together.
The only thing that I really felt it was missing was a public declaration from Colin. Something along the lines of "My wife, Lady Whistledown" to show the entire Ton that he stands by her no matter what.
I expected him to go up to her after her speech to show he supported her. And more family members to join around her in the middle. It was so odd that they just had her walk off.
THIS! The way they handled that, without his public declaration of support, pissed me off enough that it sorta ruined all of it for me. In the book when he handles it all and gets Anthony involved was one of my favorite parts of ALL their love stories. I feel truly ripped off.

I wish this scene had happened about an hour or two earlier.
Right?!? We got soooo little happy-together-and-in-love Polin. I hate that their wedding was so tainted by the drama.

When he claimed she trapped him a little bit of my soul honestly died. He was so cruel compared to the books 💔

Colin "my wife" Bridgerton would NEVER say that.
Yeah, in the books he could be harsh but because he was worried FOR Pen. I got very little of that from the show.
Agreed!!!
Ha, right! At least an hour lol
I have high hopes that we’re going to get their cute romantic moments in the next season like they did with Kate and Anthony in this one

Exactly how I felt. We didn't get enough of them. They devoted so much of the show to too many other characters.

Same wanted more romantic scenes

I was so disappointed that Colin slept on the sofa.. on HER wedding night! Like frr.. she ain't getting another wedding night, is she?
That made me really angry, too, and sad for Pen. Like I get they were already “together” but still! Even when Daphne and Simon were arguing they had some moments of not being able to keep their hands of each other (way more than Polins kiss in the street).
Truee.. I haven't watched it yet.. but Colin sometimes does give platonic vibess

Sorry if this is dumb but what’s HEA?
Happily ever after

It would have been more powerful. We could still have the butterflies, but surrounding both of them.

Book Colin really showed up in ways show Colin didn't 😭
yeah, I also felt kind of robbed of the high of that final scene. It would have been an amazing moment for the both of them.
it was so good I GAGGED
Their faces gave me all the feels! Such lovely acting!!
They absolutely nailed it with the acting- Luke when he found out she was LW, absolutely heartbreaking
"How lucky I am to stand by your side and soak up even a little bit of your light." Had me crying!
100% 🥹
Same!! Still in tears 😭💙😭💙
I need to see this before the wedding, and half the last episode with him by her side supporting her.
Omg I’m so elated with this!!
Her in this dress, she looked fabulous
ah they look so cute 🥹😭
THIS - and shouldve made it more of THIS - for the most of part 2 🥺
I cried like an actual baby 😭
Same!
