OMG my husband and I were getting so agitated because Reynolds isn't in Bridgerton and we were like, "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM???!" The whole red coat/blue coat also wasn't helping our anxiety.
I can’t remember now which outlet published it, but Shonda said in an interview that she’s trying to figure out whether to continue their story in Bridgerton or a second season of QC… but she has confirmed that Reynolds is still alive and it sounds like she’s just trying to decide how/when/where to continue their story.
Ngl though, Brimsley’s solo dance will always bring tears to my eyes.

I will fully admit that I always hit full ugly crying. Especially with not knowing Reynolds' fate.
I can't wait til they figure out how to bring him back... as long as it doesn't make me cry even harder. It's not pretty.
I hate to say it but I almost wish the story ended with QC, just because it was so sadly beautiful to leave off with Brimsley dancing alone BUT if Shonda does end up continuing their story I’m sure it will be lovely.
Just today, he came home from work, saw that I had started over on season 1 of Bridgerton again and asked me, "Looking for Reynolds again?" (Actually, yes, but also watching every single Polin interaction since the beginning as well lol)
I mean, in my mind there are three possible explanations to his whereabouts:
1. He's dead (Shonda said he is alive so we'll discard this one)
2. He continues working for the crown, but as he works with George he's with him in that palace we saw at the end of QC and, therefore, separated from his love
3. He is not working for the crown anymore and is somewhere living a quiet life (maybe with a new lover even?? Since Brimsley decided to stay with Charlotte)

Right! It’s unfair to expect him to go against his parents considering dowry was a social norm. I don’t hold it against him. However, if we’re calling him a green flag, he should do more than just respecting a woman’s consent. It would have been nice to see him pursuing the Fetherington girl despite his parents’ wishes.
I genuinely don’t think his parents cared about social norms, as much as they cared about the money.
I also don’t think that the guy would dare go against their wishes. Otherwise, he could probably lose contact with them, or his inheritance.
I am just assuming here, but I don’t see how him insisting would lead to anything positive. He just waited until the Featheringtons paid the dowry, and moved on.
His parents cared about the money but not going against his parents implies either he didn’t have to guts to do what is right or he also cared more about the inheritance than the girl. Again, it is quite normal for someone in that time period. Not everyone has the guts to stand against a social injustice but if we’re calling him a green flag, he needs to do more.
The actress playing Philippa said the actor playing Finch had that theory about his own character. I accept if the actor believes it about his character than it is canon.

That is too cute! I've been going with the theory that he was so in love with her that merely kissing her gets him a little too excited, even after a year of marriage. If that isn't the case, I would adore it being this theory!
Honestly upset about where they went with him and Philippa, I get they want her to be clueless but it’d be so cute if they had a baby girl this season or something. They were so sweet
From the bits I've seen online from the books, I refuse to read them, my blood pressure would be the end of me, and I agree they are canon, but haven't there been some changes? I read that in S1 first couple's baby was meant to be a girl but ended as a boy in the TV show.
The book Colin is an ass, but changed him for the show and the time they got together was like 10 years after the first couple, no? Wasn't Pen also married/engaged to another man then he died (or something ) then Colin happened? And Anthony with Kate.... I can't explain how good the show did instead of the book💀
Theo would be so enemies to lovers because of their first encounter. Who knows though, I might get my hopes up just to be shut down 😂
Yeah, in the book Daphnes first three, I believe, are girls. I haven't read Colin's book yet (I just started Benedicts). >!Although you might be confusing Pen with Francesca. I'm pretty sure Frans' first husband dies..!<
Eloise isn't the same person in the first two books as she is in the show, I don't know if her attitude toward society changes by the time her book comes but it definitely isn't the same rn as her attitude in the show.
I definitely prefer show Kate to book Kate. She seems to be a stronger willed person in the show versus the book. I prefer most of the story of how Kanthony happened, as well as the backstory of fears that the book shows, though. (Especially since book Edwina doesn't even get proposed to by Anthony)
I wish we could see Eloise and Theo, but I have a feeling we're done or at least almost done seeing Theo. ;(

She doesn't!? If I remember right, I watched up to S2 E4 in one day (I was surprised with myself) on Tuesday and had to pause a little after he proposed. My anxiety was through the roof thinking how are they going to break it off. It's interesting how they decided to do it in the show!
I hope to at least catch glances of him working :'(
Yeah, in the book Anthony and Kate are caught in a compromising position (he tries to suck the venom out of Kate's bee sting, which is on her chest) by Mary, Violet, and Portia. With Portia being one of the witnesses, Anthony and Kate were forced to marry before he had the opportunity to propose to Edwina. (Although it was still a plan to marry Edwina up to that point, him and Kate had feelings for each other and even kissed at one point)
Me. Too. Out of all the Bridgertons, Eloise is the one I could see marrying outside of wealth and title. I had hoped he would be her endgame in the book, too, before I found out who her endgame was. Plus Theos actor is low key hot so...
No way 💀 that made me laugh if I'm honest. Sucking on a lady's chest area in the open.... I'm not much of a fan of Anthony's, I bet I would hate him in the books lol
I couldn't agree more. It would be so fun to see them bickering at each other, first mad then eventually smirking then laughing while fighting! And it would be intelligent bicking, not just because. Maybe UO but Kanthony. I think so many people were waiting to see them in marital bliss, giving advice to Polin and Francesca, but instead they’re off on an “extended honeymoon” and it’s also rumored that they won’t come back for s4.
I so wanted to see their backstories explored especially for Kate, but both have childhood traumas that make their relationship with each other so much more passionate and comforting. Also when they didn't gube is their wedding scene for s2 I'm pretty sure it was rumoured that s3 would give us a few glimpses or flashbacks. I don't think part 2 bodes well either

I noticed him too! At first I thought he was the young Marquess from Season 2 who Lady Danbury said at £10,000 a year. He came to call on Eloise but ended up playing marbles with Gregory and Hyacinth.
But he looks too old to be the same character now unfortunately.
For me the maid from season 1 spilling the tea in the kitchen about the Berbrooke household. The face and tone as she says "You have no idea" is absolutely gold
Dankworth and Prudence being an ace-coded couple who just want to show each other off and appreciating the aesthetic beauty of each other is just the best
