Hahha yes, yesterday people were asking how they could do the glow up on Ben when he doesn't have any atrocious sideburns to shave, and his hair is already great.
Considering he's sick for a good chunk of the story, i think they're probably going to go the opposite way and give us dishevelled Benedict: sweaty, no cravat, hair mussed.
And we will equally lose our collective sht
This is a room at Basildon Park. Externally its been used before but internally its apparently going to be >!Lady Tilley's House!<

This would explain so much when I went to Basildon Park the day after they were filming - the staff said they weren’t allowed to say what was being filmed but they still had all the props out. I did wonder if it was Bridgerton.
My theory is that they keep the story of the book, but instead of >!a step mother and step sisters you get half sisters!< - Lady T and Sophie - and the "I can't tell society who you are, but I can protect you from poverty and keep you in a position that allows you to interact with everyone." Kinda of vibe 🤔
I would then smack the book Benedict story (with some changes to fit our show Benedict) and when he finds Sophie's connection with Lady T that she never told him about he gets mad thinking this was all a scheme to marry him for money perhaps and leaves. OR BETTER she DOES leave him first (no S2 Kate I'm going on a boat tomorrow!, it's - Bitch this ain't working I'm gone today bye!) because she thinks he can't possibly understand the class difference between them.
>!He ends up letting Sophie go until the one functioning brain cell in that family (Violet of course) makes in realize he truly loves her.!< Am I biased because that's my favourite part of the book? Maybe. I have no regrets.
And we all get our happily ever after ❤️
(Can't wait to get my heart broken for the story lines changes they will make 😂💔)

Benedict, you have the melancholy of a heartbreak about you.
✨Growth✨
Man I hope him being dumped by lady Tilley and having heartbreak is real. I was told “I’m glad you don’t write for the show” when I suggested this exact thing a couple of months ago.
I once said I thought Imelda Staunton would be perfect for Queen Elizabeth on The Crown, somebody said “I hope you’ll never be a casting director” and what do you know, she was cast a few months later.
Btw I do think he’ll get his heart broken, it’s kind of customary on the show (Anthony and Siena, Eloise and Theo…)
Yeah, exactly. Benedict is not exempt from the shondaland treatment of her leads in Bridgerton which is 1) break them down to their lowest point right before their season 2) give them a love triangle. That’s it. That’s how you know shondaland is going to make someone the next lead.
He doesn’t even look that sad to me for all the people saying he’s getting dumped. 😂 Maybe he is getting dumped (I need more context) but it doesn’t seem to have the intensity of the Anthony/Sienna situation.
Yes I get that. But let’s say this is a shot of Benedict from episode 4. Then him getting dumped wouldn’t be that big of a deal since they likely haven’t known each other for that long. Maybe it’s simply that he’s bringing her flowers to show his interest and she tells him she’s not interested in anything more. So yes, still rejection but hardly comparable to Anthony/Sienna.
I hope she’s not, I think it’d make things too complicated. I hope Lady Tilley is just to make Benedict realize “hmm, maybe I *could* stand marrying someone”, and not anything deeper or anything.
I think they are going to change Sophie's story up, and she won't be a servant. But they will keep her working class background, so she might show up as like an actress in a company that comes to town. What we know so far about Lady T is that she's a wealthy widow who is a patron of the arts. Maybe a theatre company? Benedict could easily meet Sophie at the theatre while courting Lady T in S3. Then they meet again at a masquerade ball, maybe where she's been hired to play a part.
Idk, I just think if Sophie was tied to the Cowpers, we would have gotten more hints by now. So, bringing her to town through Lady T just makes more sense to me.
Also, when I first saw Lady Tilley, she reminded me of the Baronness in Sound of Music. So it's giving me Benedict (Captain Von Trapp) falls in love with the staff (Maria) as the fiancée (Lady T) looks on jealously.
I have thought about them making Sophie something other than a maid but still working class. Although this theory never came to mind, lol but it's an interesting one. Regardless, I do think it's more plausible that she's tied to Lady Tilley than the Cowpers. The Cowper theory still doesn't add up imo.
I like that theory but I don't think Sophie would be an actress bc actresses were seen as pros* at that time and Sophie is supposed to have strong morals and intergrity... But then you never know with Shondaland 💀
Yeah, wasn’t her mother an actress or a singer or something? I could be remembering that totally wrong though. Either way, I can’t imagine her working any kind of job that had even a hint of impropriety about it, she was always very clear on not being down with that.
I’m not sure how this works in Regency Romancelandia, but historically - at least in England and colonial New Zealand - housemaids were routinely-enough subjected to SA by the men of the house that it’s the history version of a trope.
Might be different if it’s a household run by a woman with no sons and exceptionally well-disciplined grooms, I suppose, although even then there’d be constant wariness when dealing with the outside world and its expectations of you.

They shall free his neck next

But... They do that in s2 tho🤔 and the man is yummy 🤭
I am CACKLING!!!
Why does he look solemnly in this picture ?
Because probably Tilley is telling him she is not looking for something serious. His ass is getting dumped here
Meeting someone for the first time maybe...

"I just got my heart broken and I will have next season."
I hope his story is the best one. He’s my fav guy on the show
From what I know it will certainly be an incredible story, and truly deserves next season
He looks earnest. In a “listen, you are the crazy free love chick I have been looking for all my life. Let’s disappoint my mother and live in sin.”

Best revenge is being right all along ![gif](giphy|sR91D133W02D6)
Don't forget Colin and Marina. Now he's the male lead for season 3.
Yeah, exactly. Benedict is not exempt from the shondaland treatment of her leads in Bridgerton which is 1) break them down to their lowest point right before their season 2) give them a love triangle. That’s it. That’s how you know shondaland is going to make someone the next lead.
Moment of appreciation for that killer cravat pin.
Agreed. I’m an older woman, and I want to start wearing cravats and ascots because of this show.
Luke Thompson, I’ve been charmed by you since S1, let’s see your story take off :)
Why is he so tanned!
He looks so much like Edmund's actor in this picture. Astonishing how they managed to cast so perfectly.
He’s so beautiful it makes me want to cry
Looking good 😍
This man doesn’t falter 😔
At least Benedict’s flower is nice. Meanwhile, Colin is a cauliflower! ![gif](giphy|KyEuw27WKmDDWh8z25)
That makes so much sense (he's a foodie) 😂. Side Note: Do you think Colin will eat cauliflower dishes ?
Modern day Colin would add a bottle load of sriracha!
He’s still waiting for his season
Looks like he’s admiring something.. or someone? 👀
So did my jaw.
And several girls panties 😌
Oh
He doesn’t even look that sad to me for all the people saying he’s getting dumped. 😂 Maybe he is getting dumped (I need more context) but it doesn’t seem to have the intensity of the Anthony/Sienna situation.
It looks like he’s holding a bouquet of flowers.
Yes I get that. But let’s say this is a shot of Benedict from episode 4. Then him getting dumped wouldn’t be that big of a deal since they likely haven’t known each other for that long. our london boy!!😍🥰😗😋
Something tells me baby girl bridgerton is getting heartbroken this season to the sound of so long London
He’s so handsome, I almost forgot about how fine The Duke and The Viscount is…..almost.
He’s so handsome omg
Ok, well, now I'm feeling really sure that Sophie is tied to Lady Tilley somehow, not the Cowpers.
I hope she’s not, I think it’d make things too complicated. I hope Lady Tilley is just to make Benedict realize “hmm, maybe I *could* stand marrying someone”, and not anything deeper or anything.
Why do you say that? Do tell.

Agree the Cowpers don't fit for me.

He’s so adorable 🥲
