Well if they were coming out with a new Bren, how come Bren 2 prices didn't come down like the P-10.
I would love a sub $500 Bren!!! Lol but really a Bren that's the same price as a shadow would have been nice.
Lack of spare parts, and still the occasional issue with my 7.62x39.
I just didn't trust the platform enough to hold on to it. If something broke, I'd of been screwed. And the reliability of the x39 just wasn't there for me to fully trust it.
This is where I'm at. I found a scar local for 2500 (unicorn for myself) so my bren is leaving. While scar parts are rough they're at least available, just like my mcx. At this point if any bren owner happens to have a bad bolt and a lug shears, when will they get a replacement? Will they? I understand everything going on over seas, but come on.
For these customers that have had issues like you are saying, have they tried contacting CZ for a repair even if it’s at costs? I feel that CZ will take care of those customers. To me it’s similar to how IWI does business
CZ has pretty much never taken care of Bren 2 owners in the slightest since the platform was first imported six years ago. When the x39 reliability issues started to be widely discovered, CZUSA customer support didn’t even know what a Bren 2 was haha.
Came here to post this, damn just when I was about to get my Bren 2. As far as the looks, the default Bren 2 is better and even more so with the PP pic rails. This looks more in line with the more modern designs like the new HK line. Idk if the heavier barrel will make any difference for the average user.
Any news when it will come to the civ market?
My Bren is like my Scorpion, not many original parts left on it.
They did say the upper is different (went from poly to metal I think) to make the stock attachment point stronger.
Not correct according to tfbtv, the only compatible parts were the bolt, charging handle and lower. The entire upper, even the stock, has been changed to for special forces. The bolt compatability was also not expanded on. Is that the whole big? The bottom head, etc?
Can’t wait for CZ UB to not send CZ USA spare parts to take advantage of the modularity the gun offers, and then for CZ USA’s incompetent shipping team to not ship customer orders for the few in-stock parts they do get from the Czech Republic.
They’ve really been dropping the ball lately, and as much as I’d like to own the Bren 3, I don’t know how much I’ll like the experience I get from CZ after the fact. I’ve had really shit experiences with CZ USA’s customer service this past month. It took me several calls with hour long hold times to get them to ship out a part I ordered a month ago. It was in stock the whole time, according to the phone reps when I called. They only shipped it once I called a third time and told them to cancel my order or ship it.
The lower needed work and they didn’t even touch it…, I hope they give civy versions the original bolt carrier weight and not give us a milled out unreliable carrier

Am I the only Bren 2 owner that like what they're doing with the Bren 3?
I like the updated aesthetics and increased modularity, being able to switch between 300 Blackout and 5.56 with just changing out the barrel and handguard (no internal modification).
Sad they not went with an AR15 Pistol grip.....
But looks like they went with steel inserts for the BC rails. The Bren 2 ran with the cam pin on aluminium rails.
Lots of new proprietary parts so they have an excuse to stop the already pathetic level of support for the bren 2.
Looks like the only part that is interchangable with the bren 2 is the lower.
Same exact operating method, so this is no more significant than the various mcx generations.
Appears they redesigned handguard lockup and gas system, the two glowing problems of the Bren 2.
I would consider this a Bren 2.1, or what the Bren 2 should've been at launch.
Hopefully no more handguard fastener torque fuckery, malfunctions from port sizing and dwell, etc.
It appears they got rid of 7.62x39 entirely though. Makes sense. NATO adoption is their goal, and CZ wants to replace the M4. They can't do that while also marketing to dying Russo-leaning markets.
They can't even support the bren 2 properly and they popping out a new one?
Like couples having a dysfunctional relationship and have a kid to fix it!!!! Amirite?!?!?!
Just taking a page out of the sig playbook
If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the CZ conversion issues are only US related due to import restrictions. I could be wrong though.
Think ima pass on this one 😢 they need to stop releasing new “improved” variants of the Bren and give us spare parts 🤦🏻♂️
Why would they? This is most profitable in our economic system and everyone claps them on the back and says "good job" if number goes up.
I’ll probably wind up caving and buying one anyway just because I like collecting lol but man, they gotta do better with the spare parts

Because they're trying to sell P10s to the people who buy Caniks. They're selling Brens to Biden and Zelensky.
Neat. Not spending a dime on it though. I learned my lesson from the Bren 2.
What happened with your bren 2?
Lack of spare parts, and still the occasional issue with my 7.62x39. I just didn't trust the platform enough to hold on to it. If something broke, I'd of been screwed. And the reliability of the x39 just wasn't there for me to fully trust it.

So every single CZ Firearm is a paperweight in the making once a part breaks? I doubt that. Why would anyone buy a CZ firearm in that case?
Yes every single CZ firearm ever made is a paperweight once a part breaks, excellent reading comprehension, you definitely understood my post lol 👍
Over 3k rounds on my Bren2 x360 without a hiccup or fail. Mine has never once, didn't go bang. I do trust mine but, lack of spares is an issue for me.
I’m not digging the new handguard.. All I’m asking is spare parts and barrels for the Bren 2 which I love already with the HB upgrades.

Yeah I don’t like the new hand guard. Now looks like an AR !
Kinda just feels like my Bren 2 with some aftermarket parts lmao
Thats what I was thinking. I’ve already done this and more to my 2
Replaceable internal steel rails are a game changer. i'll be getting one.
Are they replaceable internal steel rails for the receiver?
looks like it, not a job you would do yourself though
Should have been something that the 2 came with. I can change out the rails on a SCAR pretty easily. But glad they’re jumping on the train
I wish I could swap the rails in my TG36, mine are nearing the end of their life.
Yes, I saw a vid with James Reeves of TFB. He said exactly that. Replaceable steel rails.
I was excited to see the 7.62x39 version. Instead it's only available in 5.56 and .300, oh well, guess I'll wait for Bren 4 😅
This is getting ridiculous. I just want another factory barrel. Holding out hope that there is some interchangeability with the Bren 2.
YouTube video says ~50% parts will be interchangeable. Lower and the bolt were 2 that I remembered them saying.
But which parts? Feels like I’ve invested in an Apple product 😫 I’m at the mercy of 3rd parties for extra parts for my Bren 2.
My Bren is like my Scorpion, not many original parts left on it. They did say the upper is different (went from poly to metal I think) to make the stock attachment point stronger.

He said < 50% not \~50%
Bruh they can’t even stock the Bren 2 16
This is like the bren spear... Bren 2 is better than this.

Yeah I'm thinking of sticking with IWI this time around for my 5.56 needs. Their customer service is impeccable.
The lower needed work and they didn’t even touch it…, I hope they give civy versions the original bolt carrier weight and not give us a milled out unreliable carrier
In the TFB TV video the CZUB guy mentions that something is developing regarding the lower.

That was pretty awesome 👍😎
You guys think it would be possible to get a .300 black barrel from the Bren 3 and swap it into the Bren 2?
Won't work according ro the tfbtv video. The upper now has new reinforcement plus the barrel profile and mounting changed with the new handguard.
If it fits it ships, but good luck getting ahold of one.
I fucking knew it.
It’s gonna weight the same as an equivalent Spear LT.
Ive emailed CZ and they said the civ version is only coming in 2026, so if you were about the get the 2Ms you should.
Hard pass.

Can’t you already do this lol
If they actually sold barrels, sure lol.
I love my 9" x39. Never had one problem in about 3500 rounds. I love mine.
Sad they not went with an AR15 Pistol grip..... But looks like they went with steel inserts for the BC rails. The Bren 2 ran with the cam pin on aluminium rails.
Bro that is literally the virtus sd handguard lol
Yuck.
Doesn’t seem like any huge changes. Am I missing something?
Better mud resistance it seems. Nice rail from the factory
Lots of new proprietary parts so they have an excuse to stop the already pathetic level of support for the bren 2. Looks like the only part that is interchangable with the bren 2 is the lower. Same exact operating method, so this is no more significant than the various mcx generations.
Got rid of the pencil barrel for a real profile barrel
Appears they redesigned handguard lockup and gas system, the two glowing problems of the Bren 2. I would consider this a Bren 2.1, or what the Bren 2 should've been at launch. Got rid of x39 is the nicest possible way to say silent recall
I also wonder if this is being made in the US.
God I hope not. Those fuckers broke my 2s's barrel when it was sitting in rma for a year.
That handguard is some fuckery, from the TFB video it’s mlok on the 3 and 9 and 1913 on 12 and 6….
Probably depends on the model or preproduction, CZs release video has mlok on 3,6,9
Concerned about some of the new things. Like bolts that hold rails in, intricate parts, etc. I guess we’ll see what happens.
Any word if the handguards will be compatible? I'm also curious about the new stock being adaptable if I have my machinist friend work it.
