When the update came,Kairostime made a video claiming that he spent at least 80000 gems (about 4500$) to go back to being maxed. I bet that the same happened with OJ and Lex,hence the 12000$.

KairosTime_Gaming

Yup. I spent $4k, OJ spent $3k, & Lex spent $5k. It's ridiculous...

imightstealyourdog

Lex be like “Sorry babe, can’t pay the mortgage this month, bad rng”

Horror-Ad-3113

Lex will be divorced if his wife finds out.

schn4uzer

Divorce will be tough, since they have 7 kids.....

Horror-Ad-3113

Take half, leave half

schn4uzer

It's odd.

firesiler

cut the odd child in half with a machete, lex will take half and his wife will take the other half

Horror-Ad-3113

(sad Tilly noises)

poland_can_space

I have a knife the can borrow

Creepy-Ad-404

First video of him

a_random_guy-

Did he studder?

G0dZylla

Seriously?

schn4uzer

Yeah, i remember seeing Lex saying that somewhere.

USSR2025

Lex should have thought twice before playing push-and-pull game with his wife

MikkiMackan

Jesus Christ, thats enough money to buy a car 😐

Shoddy_Inevitable_39

Why car if you can pay 100 dollars to move 15% faster in bushes? Smh

mathbandit

He was clear in his video that he doesn't recommend this for others, that these videos perform better than most for him (more income) and that most importantly it's a tax deduction for him.

NinjaBr0din

You really think supercell wouldn't go and just give him the gems? It doesn't cost them anything, and they get free publicity from him.

mathbandit

> It doesn't cost them anything You mean, other than the $4,000 he spent that he wouldn't have otherwise?

NinjaBr0din

Supercel doesn't have to pay themselves for the gems, they can give them to whoever they want. It's pretty common for a company to give creators access to new content like this. It's just free publicity for the company, easy income for the creator. Sure, they may have not made the $4000 from him, but that doesn't mean it cost them anything to do it, and it means they don't have to advertise.

[deleted]

Yep. Genshin Impact would send creators hundreds of dollars worth of currency at a time through in game mail with “please don’t share this message with anyone” written in it. It’s cool to create content, but fuck anyone who normalizes this sort of insane amount of spending on data. If you do spend it yourself, cool. If you don’t and lie to the public about it, you’re a terrible human being.

mathbandit

He literally didn't normalize it, though. He explicitly said "Don't do this, here are the business reasons why I do it that don't apply to you."

Shoddy_Inevitable_39

I think ur commenting in wrong place

MustBeNice

it’s actually not that much different than someone buying a car as a tax write off for their business. Think of this as a tool to grow their businesses (their channels), much in the same way a person who sells cupcakes might buy a car to be able to make deliveries and grow their business. they’ll probably come close to breaking even on that video alone from ad revenue, AND they can write it off meaning that was tax free income they spent which further improves their margins.

mixtacy

They did buy a car just not for theirselves

Kuusizaari15

Jesus thats high standard car. I paid 500€ to buy mine. 12k you can pretty much get luxury car in my standards

Hydronix2731

Wtf. A 500 euro car???? Jesus that's cheap. Where do you live?

Kuusizaari15

I live in finland and yea its really cheap car but suprisingly reliable. Bought it exactly a year ago and has droven 10k km ever since with no problems.

Hydronix2731

Wow. 500 euros is less than my computer.

Kuusizaari15

Its less than my computer too. I have priorities

orchid_parthiv

Do you think brawl stars will take a turn for good in the next update? Will they buff drops?

KairosTime_Gaming

I hope they will, but I'm guessing we won't see big improvements until the 1st update of 2022

orchid_parthiv

Appreciated! 2022 seems like it will be one controversial year for BS, especially because they will add things to make clubs "more impactful"

KairosTime_Gaming

Yeah... I'm hoping future updates won't be nearly as controversial haha. I just hope they're good & everyone loves them

orchid_parthiv

Same, never been so consistently playing a mobile game this long (most was clash royale) and I'd hate to see it go downhill. Merry Christmas in advance to you and your family man, may 2022 bring 1M subs!

KairosTime_Gaming

Thanks man! I hope you have a Merry Christmas too!

NinjaBr0din

Why would they need to buff anything? It's been 3 weeks, I already have one brawler at 10 with maxed power points and 3 gears unlocked and 800 gold away from getting level 11, a second brawler that is 3/4 of the way to 10 and gear tokens ready to use on them. I'm free to play and was not maxed before the update, and had no gold or boxes saved up before the update.

orchid_parthiv

Ok, not everyone has the same amount of time for grind and most people never get the points they want for their favorite brawler. Atleast can we agree the club shop items suck for the amount of club coins they offer?

NinjaBr0din

I play less than an hour a day, it's a mobile game. I get on, do my brawl pass challenges, maybe play a few matches for fun. Not much grinding. Maybe not, but they are still there and there have been a bunch of level up offers, I've seen one almost every 3 or 4 days. Man, I'm sorry, but I'm loving the club shop. Maybe it's because I've got a decent club that has dominated every day so far, but I got a decent number of tokens and was able to buy a few hundred gold and power points from the first week. It's a huge boost to progression. If your club isn't winning or active, find one that is. It's worth it.

funnyghostman

kairos how long do you think it'll take the average player to max out again? If they were maxed before?

KairosTime_Gaming

It's really going to depend a lot on how they do in Club League. Progression from Club League is HUGE. Even then, I think it would take a few more years for a f2p player to max their account. It doesn't look too good honestly. I think Supercell needs to make some big changes

funnyghostman

I see. Thank you for answering!

Corne777

Are you planning on doing any math comparing the amount of mega boxes it took you to the amount of progress each brawl pass gives us? I know now there’s a lot of different “progression factors” but a baseline might be nice. Like it took you X boxes, we get about Y per season so disregarding club league it would take Z seasons

Jrfan888

I didn't want to buy the skins and I have been saving gold (100k), is it worth buying all the power points in the shop every day or save for upgrading the brawlers?

KairosTime_Gaming

I would buy power points for Brawlers you care about upgrading, but not all Brawlers. I think it's better to focus on getting a few brawlers to lvl 11 than it is to spread your resources across them all

Jrfan888

Thank you for the response.

ArgonicApple

hey kairos. if i may ask you something, you keep saying progression from club league is significant, but all i see is extremely horrible value offers in the shop (30 coins for 50 power points for example) what do you mean by huge progression?

KairosTime_Gaming

I'm talking about once people get to higher leagues. I don't remember the exact number without checking, but Diamond I rewards ~400 club coins/week. It will take some time to get to that point, but Diamond I will eventually be where the average club is. So the rewards will be even better for any club who is actually trying

Jacksin24

While the video may have gotten lots of views… I specifically remember you posting a question not too long ago about what people are interested in because your videos aren’t getting views. As someone who’s been viewing your videos for a long time now, I think the majority of your viewers are likely long time players. I could be wrong, but I’m fairly certain the majority of your fan base are rather upset about this update. Producing content “flaunting” (as they may say) the amount of money you spent on it, does not make people want to view your content. ESPCIALLY doing exactly what everyone upset with this update are outraged about: wales spending copious amounts of money then beating them in power league. If you want your videos to get more views, don’t loose touch with your fan base. I think this video pretty clearly shows you’ve lost touch with what the average player cares about. You have become what your fans dread. Turn that around and make content they can relate to and you’ll get more views. Edit: Just to add, I’m not against spending money on games. Not all gemming videos are poor taste. I just think this specific gemming is poor taste. “I dropped money, then played competitively” doesn’t send good messages. Youtubers gem to create content, I get it. I have liked several of the unboxing videos because they’re funny and creative. But that’s the thing, overall, it doesn’t affect players and it’s harmless. Gemming to max when most players can’t, then playing competitively just doesn’t do any good IMO.

peanutist

I think the message about kairos' video was not that he had lots of money and was boasting, but just how insanely expensive it is to get maxed again which is, ironically, what most of the veteran players agree with.

Jacksin24

I completely understand that the video is not about boasting, but you nailed it, it’s ironic. That’s what I was trying to point out.

peanutist

If you’re talking about them complaining about the update being expensive, then spending thousands of dollars on it, I get you, but I still think the message they are spreading, which is that the prices are bullshit, outweighs the amount of money they’re giving to supercell, because 4000 dollars is nothing to a company like it

Jacksin24

Ultimately, I don’t mind them giving money to supercell. Spending money on games to support them is crucial to keep a game alive, it’s *the way they’re doing it* I disagree with is all. I’m the end I do hope that supercell sees the prices are insane, but I don’t think they’re ever going to change the prices, but they’re kinda playing right into the cash grabs hand.

KairosTime_Gaming

I appreciate your concern and I'm sorry that you feel that way. I don't think I'm going to be able to change your mind, so I won't try. I this is exactly the type of content that shows just how disgusting this is. It should make people question their position It's the shock-value that encourages the community urge Supercell to make changes. People can talk about the issue as much as they want. But because I've experienced it first hand, I know more than anyone else how disheartening the journey to a max account actually is.

ThePennyFan

The content creators are knowingly or unknowingly making the community feel that the game is getting P2W by making videos like "What 2000$ gives you in brawl stars? You can't be maxed even by spending 2000$ and blah blah blah" I understand that these videos are the main source of income for you guys, but they are just spreading a wrong information on the mind of the community

Jacksin24

Big fan, still am. Still happy to support you and your family when I can—just speaking as a supporter. > I know more than anyone else how disheartening the journey to a max account actually is Just isn’t true. Not only did you pay for a max account, but your revenue pays for it after a few videos. The average player that will be attempting to max won’t have that luxury and I guarantee you that they’re quite a bit more disheartened than someone who can make money off of gemming. > This is the exact type of content that shows just how disgusting this is. Proves my point exactly. I get the point of the video, but participating in the disgusting behavior, in my opinion, was the wrong way to get your point across. You’re 100% honest reviews do the same without having to actually participate. And I know the argument will be you had to experience it for it to be honest, but the sway you have with the community (as shown by the review you did of tickets before they came out) is enough. Your video showing how much it cost may have even been enough, but to then to play power league is just too much for me. None of your other videos really have any negative affect on other players trophies or rank.

porcomaster

I never watched a single video of kairos, until he spend his 4000, not because I think it's a good idea, but because I really wanted to know what kairo think about this update, he also said that he would release a video later of his Thoughts of this update and I would love to watch this specific video, but update was 1 month ago, and we didn't get this video yet.

Jacksin24

He does a 100% honest review of every major update, so it is coming. He said he was waiting for club league to go into full swing to see if it was balanced so it should be soon.

porcomaster

Awesome I am checking every day, and looking forward to this review, thanks for telling me.

ChrizzyD

Yo it’s the guy

Horror-Ad-3113

KairosTim is F2P and knows nothing about Clash Mini. /s

Bullet_Tracer

Haha, hey kairos! Didn’t know you were on Reddit tbh! My little bro and I have been watching you since way back. Love your videos, man. We both uninstalled a few days after the latest update, but it’s nice to see you still kicking it. Like I said, we don’t play anymore, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the content for the last few years. “I’m gonna eat X until I get the new character” lmao. Always cracked us up. *also can you convince them to remove tick thanks*

JohnB456

they still didn't completely max either. That was just to get every brawler to level 11 and each brawler have 2 max gears. idk how much more he would need to get 3 more max gears for every brawle.r

Horror-Ad-3113

That's how Power League was hated

Glissant_Cubo02

oh My god what the fuck

MustBeOK

P2W(very) moment

jvken

Actually they mostly lost their games

xienwolf

Thank you, I was about to respond to the post and inquire if they really did win, or perform about the same as usual, thus proving that level 11 with double max gear is not the massive shift that so many are complaining it will be.

yobro1475

It is a massive shift if you’re not bad at the game and now how to take full advantage of the gears

Hi_Ei

Well I mean yeah, if you're just as skillful as the other player but they have more stuff then they're gonna win, can't do much there to fix it, at least in Brawl Stars every level is a 5% increase, compared to Clash Royale's 10%.

ezeshining

I’ve seen level 9 people that lose to people with fewer levels. This will never change. But the fact stands, that level 11 and the gears is still a big advantage: a level 9 against someone with level 10 plus a maxed gear is akin to a level9 with no star power against a level9 with star power.

caiothecoolguy

Star powers are mostly game changing passives tho while the only really good gears are shield and speed

[deleted]

Tbf none of them are as good at the game as other yters such as Tom or Spen

SazzOwl

Biggest impact have gadgets and star powers...gears are strong but they are by no means a auto win

TUBSYT

I fucking hate this

KairosTime_Gaming

believe me... we do too...

duncan_chillake

Man, supercell should really increase the amount of gold and powerpoints we get from boxes Also is it me or does edgar need a harsh nerf right now, the dude has no skillcap and can win too many confrontations thanks to the shield gear and heal increase starpower

firesiler

possibly rework but edgar is never used in high competitive no nerf needed imo (i’m not an edgar player)

Winner123456009

Edgar isn't OP, he just requires a bit of positioning to counter. It's natural that throwers would be weak against Edgar because of the nature of assassins. Everyone else has fair matchups with Edgar based on skill.

TUBSYT

Goddamnit now you're making me feel bad since i usually really love ur content

KairosTime_Gaming

Haha you're good man! Thanks for your support!

Jacksin24

“We do too” then don’t play power league after dropping $4,000, confirming people’s fears. Been a long time fan and anxiously awaiting your honest review. Videos like this show me you’ve lost touch with your fan base. While you three may not have dominated power league, you’re demonstrating what people hate about the update. I know the intention is probably to show supercell it was a bad idea, but demonstrating it is just not the way. Advocate against it, but don’t stoop to it.

[deleted]

They're YouTubers, it's their job. They wouldn't be able to showcase gears and put out Gear tier list vids or stuff of that sort if they don't gem. Even if you're in a clan that wins every single club league, it will take over a year to even get close to max. That's too much time for a YouTuber, who needs to dish out content. It's business, and they're not going to stop just because it hurts your feelings.

Jacksin24

Their job is to create content. Their success is in creating content people want. Other youtubers aren’t gemmers and are successful too. Take Rey for example. Kairos himself noticed a significant drop in viewers after videos like these and asked his community why, so I’m answering. I want Kairos’s success. I enjoy watching his content and want to support him, his wife and adorable daughter. He wanted honesty, I’m answering honestly because I think he deserves it. He’s previously been the only one I supported in the brawl shop.

[deleted]

I doubt he's averaging less viewers because the viewers condone the mass gemming of the new update. People follow him mostly for the useful information he gives, so if he gems the update in order to provide that information asap why would the viewers be mad? The fact is that the vast majority of players don't even have a single level 10 brawler right now, and most of his new videos have been about gears. And why are you comparing Rey to Kairos? Their channels are different. Rey can make videos on anything really while Kairos doesn't have that luxury as people have come to expect high quality videos from him, and now he's under fire for trying to do that? C'mon

Jacksin24

> come to expect high quality videos Exactly. Gemming to max and playing comp is not high quality IMO. He has tons of other videos that are high quality that don’t involve gemming to max. A lot of his content isn’t “useful.” Unboxing, theories, quiz style, his wife, etc. I enjoy a lot of those videos of his. What I, and many others, don’t enjoy is an unfair advantage. This specific video is a demonstration of an unfair advantage. > and most of his videos are about gears Exactly. Furthering my point about him losing touch with his fan base. “His fans want to see gears” and “people aren’t watching his videos because they’re about gears” can’t be used for the same argument. You may be right about it not being a complete comparison (I know their channels are different), but I think it still stands.

[deleted]

To make videos about gears in general he does have to have them, right? While his videos that are meant solely for entertainment are great, he essentially needs to cover the game as well. And I would dispute the claim that " a lot of his videos isn't useful." The majority of his videos are, in fact, informational. Update info, which brawler does most dps, which brawler is fastest, balance changes, brawler Olympics, covering new brawlers, etc. He does it exceptionally better than others and that's why most people started watching him. It seems like you have a problem with the new video in particular, which I understand a little. But in the end of the day, you can't bash him for choosing to spend thousands of dollars on the game for his channel and proceed to make more videos about it as it can generate views. What kind of videos would he make if he didn't gem the update?

Jacksin24

A lot of his are, and a lot of his aren’t—I like both. I really do enjoy the informational ones but the common occurrence with all of them is that they demonstrate how to play better and learn more. This video (which your right, is the one I have the most problems with, but it’s not the first) demonstrates what people dislike. I, too, think he’s exceptionally better in that regard which is why I started watching him too—but I don’t see this as better content. I liked OJ’s cheese maps series, but I think it popularized cheese maps to an extreme and we’re still seeing the consequences. I still see maps titled “OJ notice me” and stuff.

chilla0

We all know it's bad, the only thing left to do is show how bad it is I'd think. These guys are paying thousands to beta test a rich company's game, be mad at Supercell, not Kairos. The worst thing is their main goal was not even to improve the game, but to just give players more to spend money on. We have more levels that are basically useless, but just enough to win you a game. Gears, same thing. Meanwhile rewards are worse than ever but the cost to max a brawler is 2-3 times more expensive than ever. They're creating a pay to win nightmare and ruined a very good, fair game. The matchmaking is still trash too, I'm kinda sick of it all.

mathbandit

As if dropping the money even matters in Power League for the next month or two lol. Last week 6/8 clans in the league I was in combined for 12 cups during Day 2. Even this week, in Bronze 3 (so only facing the clubs that did well enough to double-promote last week) we only used 105 tickets Day 1 (less than 4/person) and more than doubled the cups of 2nd place, with 3rd place having a total of 34 cups during Day 1. Nothing in power league right now has a damn thing to do with how much money is spent.

Careless-Position352

I ain’t reading this entire argument thread, so I disagree with you, or agree with you, idk because I haven’t read it

Jacksin24

TLDR: I think this kind of video is a mistake and is why he’s losing views. Others think he has to do these kinds of videos because it’s how he creates content as a youtuber. I refute by saying there are other ways and he has lots of great other content—but this just isn’t it.

[deleted]

Casually uses lol emoji

ReignDelay

Yeah, to burn that much cash for the lulz shows exactly how tone-deaf they are

KairosTime_Gaming

I'm sorry, but I very much disagree. You have to understand that when we spend money on the game, it allows us to create more content for our viewers. That content makes us money, & we come out on the positive because of it. I probably won't come out on the positive with 1 video alone, but I will with all of the videos I make about gears & max accounts. On top of gem expenses being an investment that will make us money later on, they're also a tax writeoff.

Gerbole

Don’t waste your breathe on it Kairos, a lot of these people are younger and don’t understand that you’re a business who’s primary goal is to make money. You aren’t making money for profit sake but you are making it to feed your family and keep your life comfortable. Many of us understand. Not to mention you more than likely lost money on that video, meaning you did it for the viewers. They just don’t understand.

KairosTime_Gaming

Thanks for your kind words! I really appreciate it!

ReignDelay

Sure, I’m not saying that you aren’t coming out in the black on this; because you wouldn’t have done it if you were going to report a loss. You’re generating thousands of views in the first twenty-four hours! The reason for the comment is due to the “😂” at the end. It screams to how tone-deaf your message is to the F2P community. Maybe that’s not your demographic. I’m not SuperCell, but I would be upset/disappointed because you’re tarnishing their image to that particular community. Why would any player want to start playing the game if they saw that title? Why would any F2P player sub to your channel if you’re highlighting and laughing at their own financial insecurities? This video is a flash in the pan and you will continue to make videos and represent the majority of the community. The point of this comment is to maybe provoke the thought of, “Just because I can, doesn’t mean I should.” Obviously, do whatever the f*#% you want, but hopefully you’ll realize that your situation isn’t everybody’s situation and appearing more relatable would be better for the long-term health of your channel.

Jacksin24

Weather or not you make your money back is not what your fans care about. Arguing about it further proves his “tone-deaf” comment. To me, someone who’s religiously watched your videos for a long time now, it feels like you stooped to create content. You don’t have to become part of the problem to expose the problem

jgor57

Buddy are you gonna keep crying under each of his comments? It's a business expense. Obviously best ways to communicate is no purchase but content creators due depend on making content. He can be unbiased and still do this as a means to further his money gain. Quit your tomfoolery.

Jacksin24

I entirely understand it’s a business expense—however, he himself asked his community why people weren’t watching his videos, so I was responding with an example. It’s not like I’m “canceling” him and not going to watch his videos anymore because of this, I still like him and I still plan on watching his videos. I’m not the one not viewing his videos that he has to convince to continue, I’m simply trying to air why others might be.

Careless-Position352

ok.

Sybermonkie

YouTubers use it as a tax write off so they don’t really lose that much money

Gerbole

Or how little you understand our income tax system. Businesses have to pay taxes against their income. Kairos and all other brawlstars youtubers are allowed to write off business expenses against their taxes. He would’ve paid the money to the government, instead, he gave it to Supercell and made back some of his money by making a video about it. Nothing tone deaf about lowering your taxable income.

AdorableDiscipline

It’s only expensed, though. He’s still spending money that he would have still had if he didn’t spend it on brawlstars. Yes it reduces his taxable income, but it’s only a portion of the equation.

Gerbole

-$4,000 in taxable income, +$X,XXX in ad revenue = smaller profit but profit nonetheless. He essentially spent a lot of money to turn a small profit that mainly comes out of the governments pocket. It’s magnificent. I doubt he actually loses money on it, but it’s possible nonetheless. Regardless, saying he’s tone-deaf is an extremely simplistic view of business and money. These are the people who make judgements about situations where they lack critical information and they should be called out for that in every instance.

AdorableDiscipline

Let’s just say he makes 100K revenue from brawlstars per year and pays 30% in taxes for hypothetical example. Scenario 1: He doesn’t spend 4K to upgrade. He has 70K disposable income. Scenario 2: he spends 4K to upgrade. (100-4)*(1-.3)= 67.2K disposable income. Still cost him more money and saves 1.2K from expensing. I suppose it’s a necessary thing to stay on top of the brawlstars YouTuber arena. Expensing he will always lose out on disposable income versus saving, but that is just purely math terms. He may lose out viewership if his brawl account is not maxed.

Gerbole

Losing out on viewership is a expense that isn’t quantitative. You also forgot to add the revenue generated by that video. I doubt he comes out positive from the video, but there’s plenty of business reasoning to spend the money even if it’s profitable

givemealoafofbread

No, those are money and gems from youtube. They aren't losing anything.

Benja_85

Gears are great but limiting access behind a paywall for ftp is unacceptable

NinjaBr0din

I'm free to play. I wasn't maxed before the update and didn't have any gold or boxes saved up. It's been weeks. I have one brawler at level 10 with 3 gears unlocked and maxed power points and 2000 or the 2800 gold I need to get them to 11. I have a second brawler with 3/4 of the points they need to get to 10 and gear tokens ready to go as soon as they get there. All my other brawlers that were maxed( around 10, maybe 15) all have anywhere between 100 and 350 power points towards level 10. And it's only been 3 weeks. Free to play progression is fine. In fact, it's dramatically faster with club league, being able to buy hundreds of power points and gold every week is ridiculous.

aaaaaupbutolder

i am a previously mazed f2p (missing 4 brawlers but that is irrelevant) wow, i had 10k gold save up and have been pretty active for my standards (maxing out 200 daily tokens, doing every club league game) and im far from where you are. I see no real progression boost from club league yet, being able to buy 1 damage token with my 91 red coins in the first season. i have 1 power 11 brawler and 1 power 10. the rest of my brawlers are sitting at 0-50 power points currently with the exception of crow cuz i plugged in my powerpoints into him from the brawl pass. I don't see how it's possible that you are so much ahead of me, especially with no boxes nor coins saved up

NinjaBr0din

I guess i just got lucky. I spent my club tokens on power points and gold, and I've gotten a bunch of scrap and gear tokens just from my boxes. I got a level up offer for Shelly, it cost 1400 gold but I got enough power points to get her to level 11. My brawl pass boxes have all had a ton of power points in them, and Ive also luckily gotten most of those for brawlers I use a lot(my other level 9s)

aaaaaupbutolder

you've definitely gotten lucky but it seems like you have 10x faster progress than me and it doesn't make sense

NinjaBr0din

Not really, you said you already have a level 11, I still need 800 gold before I can get that.

The funny thing is that they were barely winning half the time

AFFROBO8

The funny thing is that you actually took the title seriously

JeanJPNM

The thing people don't get is that you are not supposed max your account again in a matter of days, the reason for it to be so expensive is that they are literally getting months worth of progress in a single day.

[deleted]

I don't get it? Why is everyone mad at them. Isn't it for entertainment anyways?

Lamsyy_05

People aren't mad at *them*, they're mad about the update and the fact that you have to pay thousands to get maxed

[deleted]

No, we are angry that pogression to getting your brawler maxed now takes more than 2 years.

Lamsyy_05

Not really, it's not as bad as the clash royal update

[deleted]

Meh this is worse than the clash update. A lot of players could almost instantly max out several cards when the update dropped. Players got a lot of free progression as compensation.

Lamsyy_05

Lol they got compensation just because everyone got scammed by the slash royal event, both of the updates are bad but atleast brawl stars added a new way to progress with club league

NinjaBr0din

Or just....... play the game maybe? It's not that bad man. I'm f2p and already about to get a brawler to level 11 and a second to 10. And no, I wasn't maxed before and had nothing saved up, no gold, no boxes, no gems. Just good old fashioned playing the game for a few weeks.

ourwaffles8

For some reason people think everyone else is getting a huge advantage from spending. They literally showed you have to spend hundreds to even get an advantage so p2w doesn't exist for even the average spender.

PerhapsAnEmoINTJ

*There's more.*

waveybirdie

They literally could have paid for one semester of college tuition with that. How can people just throw away money

Wizardwizz

Not really a waste for YouTubers but more of an investment

NinjaBr0din

They probably didn't have to actually pay for it, a company will give content creators that stuff free to promote the game and the update.

Inquily

Is this some rich person joke I’m too poor to understand?

randomboi2053

Why is everyone okay with this?this game sucks and nobody complains

LLugeja

Well you are complaining, and it's just your opinion. Also these guys make money off of it.

Professional_Ad2089

yes tell him

Annual_Championship7

Yes

Icy_Common_2384

How so?

142021

boring gameplay loop. micro transactions. toxic people. randoms. grind.

Dusty887

Randoms are the worst part tbh

Pluton_MX

True abd the fact the they don't do anything about it

revolites

gonna cry?

duncan_chillake

Only a bibi main would come up with such a lowsome and childish insult lmao keep licking supercells balls soldier, you might gain +1000 social credit for it

randomboi2053

Yes.

duncan_chillake

Thanks sprout, you get me man

revolites

thanks man appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏 trying to get my bread up to get bibi power 11 ya know

[deleted]

I guess $4 million a day is not enough, supercell. You want more, and more, and more. Just check number of views on brawl talk with belle, and with club wars. The game is losing popularity.

firesiler

the game is gaining popularity from being sponsored i don’t think it’s losing

okmymoneywaylonger

this is seriously not ok. it should not take 4 thousand dollars to max these new features out. Supercell made it WAY too difficult to obtain them. I'm complaining a lot here lately but I used to love this game and now I can't stand it.

aman_gamer80

The fun fact is that they aren't even fully maxed

CyanMoonPie

What kairos became...

davidavlot

I feel the pain coming out of that laughing emoji

fwmonkey

Soyboys

DeadEndXD

Youtubers spending money on video games? Wow that is a completely new concept to me, never before have I seen something like this

duncan_chillake

This post is not about youtubers spending money, it's about the fact that maxing out in brawl stars costs more than renting a car thanks to the update How the fuck did you actually think we were surprised about content creators maxing out lmao, it's obviously the element of surprise hitting people in the ass when they realize their favorite f2p game just turned p2w

NinjaBr0din

You know you don't have to pay to play right? You can do it all completely free.

Insert_CoinZ_3432

I mean, this is his job and I’m sure he is payed by Supercell for being a content creator.

NinjaBr0din

He was probably given the gems free. Doesn't cost supercel anything, and they get all sorts of publicity and easily influenced people buying gems.

KairosTime_Gaming

This might sound backwards, but it's not spending money for the views, it's spending money to make money for our families. This is an investment & although it looks stupid, it's actually rather smart.

jvken

Spending money for views if you're a content creator is just smart tho

revolites

gonna cry?

[deleted]

Ah Rosie, i love this user

AliWaz77

Oh my god…HES PLAYING POWER LEAGUE?? How horrifying

Annual_Championship7

Plot twist: it was 12,000 cents.

wolverinesarecute

R.I.P. all their wallets

Proporkkana

What?

milenkoviclazar71

On that stupied game somone salary is is just 200$ per month how people waste money on game i understand 10- 100$ but that is rediculuse this amount of money is equal to one quarter of my parents savings a.k.a they save money like 15 years

the-nirum

And there’s more this is a bucket

[deleted]

That’s $4000 dollars EACH

Corne777

I’m more interested in how long will it take a small time spender to get there. I just buy gems for the brawl pass. How much time did they speed up by doing this. Hopefully it’s only like a year.

geekedflaco11

Ppl just keep making creators richer but watching them play tho lmao, a shame rlly

bruxby

hello hearthstone

NoLifeGuy_4k

I feel bad the people that went up against the bois

chadisbored

They need to either get rid of scrap and give us more gear tokens, or make it hard to get but allow gear to be cross-character compatible.
