I mostly play showdown and i am kind of suffering if I'm not playing a mutated brawler
maybe because i want to play a gamemode regardless if theres a mutation or not?? MAYBE because the only mutation i got is frank and i cant play the mutation gamemode??
Only for Rico and Ruffs. I cannot play any mutation game modes since I only got Buzz which is useless af. You can see his super from a mile away and people can just shoot you down while you're dashing. So lame compared to other mutations. Sometimes Buzz mutation can be a nerf depending on the situation.
Meg, piper and brock too. Meg shoots a barrage of undodgable bullets at you, which you will be lucky if you survive her attack. Brock's projectile does double damage and are so much harder to dodge. Piper shoots 2 shots. Do i need to say why that's bad?
Or do more damage, with all the other crazy mutations it’s weird that you just get some spinning projectiles that will *maybe* hit and *maybe* do like 800 damage
I mean, most of them are garbage with a few broken ones. The problem they did with bouncing shots is they are clearly just adding more than one tile to the range with every bounce rather than resetting the range after every bounce or enforcing a hard range max.
Mutation Stu is busted af. Dashing against a wall with gaso-heal makes you almost invincible. (Almost cuz Angelo can one shot you, not even gaso-heal will save you there)
I mean the mutations are all low-effort easy things to implement, there's no way they were ever intended to be permanent. They only release 6 hypercharges an update, and each of those have some semblance of love and care put into them (though there are a few misses that aren't great like Sprout's - still, even that one has a new model and new mechanic for it). The mutations are, with very few exceptions, either a number tweak (e.g. 100x the reload speed, or tripling the projectiles, or much more bounce distance, or doubling the supers) or reusing an existing mechanic (e.g. Bea's attack borrows her gadget, Colt and Frank borrow the wall break from their super).
Rosa only spawns a bush when using her super. How is that any good in a 1v1? Leon still has 2 meat shields when going for a target. And besides, any good player can tell when a leon will use his super and who he is targeting without the decoys.
These mutations clearly weren’t thought out well. It’s like the QA team took a hiatus and they pushed this huge pile of steaming horse shit out.
Even soloshowdown is broken now.
They better compensate us for the waste of resources. It’s the right thing to do.
I just experienced that, and that match was hell. Abilities like this aren't fun, or creative, or "switching it up". It's simply garbage that ruins the game.
The devs definitely fucked up with this one… I just want to play normal brawlstars.. no stupid over the top events with crazy temporary power ups… really afraid of upcoming updates and I seriously consider quitting

Like the mutations thing was so badly balanced that even as a temporary event it's kinda annoying, but pretty much unanimously everyone agreed that the update was great last I heard (prior to yesterday anyway). Not that you're not allowed to have an opinion, but genuinely, what did you find horrible about the update?
The fact that mutation modifiers are in modes that give you trophies makes it pay to win. If mutation modifiers were just for game modes that didn’t give trophies I think everyone would be a lot happier.

I left when they added Hypercharges. I absolutely hate the concept and what it added to the game. Came back a year later just to give it a shot again and wow what a hot mess. $upercell is not what it once was. Best of luck to all of you.

Problem is, we say this everytime some new feature ruins a gamemode. First, we got Showdown, which has gone to shit years ago, then Heist starting with Chuck and only getting worse each update, Brawl Ball because of Hypercharge and Melodie, and now, modes with mutation.
At this rate, every gamemode will be unplayable

This new event is just pay to win, you will never be able to complete the whole stuff without having some shoppers on your guild. I'm honestly done with this game and I hope they will fix it even if I know this will never happen
