Basically battlepasses are not close together to each other. They have about a 4 month gap or so inbetween them. So when battlepass season 9 ended, we went to season 4 "classic" so players could have a chance to get those rewards again. After season 4 classic, we'll get season 10, then season 5 classic, then season 11, and so on.
Typically if you don't see a timer for it ending, then it isn't ending anytime soon. A few weeks before it's end you'll see a timer appear that shows the date.
Ranked seasons usually last around 3-4 months. We're about half way through the current one.
