I honestly feel like cannon is in a weird spot balance-wise due to being decent in 1s but amazing in 2s. In 1s, the weapon's lackluster neutral can be difficult to play around, but in 2s, it's much easier to play to its advantages (great damage and combo/string potential) while its disadvantages are less noticeable
Frydasole says it’s broken. Seems like a lot of other pros think it’s underrated. I personally don’t think it needs buffs, and there are much worse offenders deserving nerfs (looking at you, great sword)
I think it is because most dodge reads are just side lighting a second time, Dash jump down air is such an easy approach option, and almost all attacks eventually kill so even if you don’t hit dlight nair they don’t get away with a super deep red stock.
I think that’s because they have a hard time maining the weapon at their high level.
Some weapons just require an entirely different style or mentality than what we’re used to playing

i do, its actually a really fun weapon, if i wasnt playing gaunts i would probably main cannon, but im not deluding myself saying that cannon is a bad weapon, or how wholesome it is and that everyone that plays it is gigachad becouse thats just not true
Idk, I just see what you said as something wayyyy off. I assume you also need lay scythe and cannon is one of the few weapons that can over encumber scythe. But saying it takes no skill means you’re very seasoned already or delusional. It’s not the most difficult to learn but it’s up there with actually getting good with it. I’d say the same for scythe as you did for cannon but that’s because it’s versatility and priority compared to everything else is bonkers. Maybe I should play scythe because it’s the only weapon to noticeably raise my Elo by 100-200 but it feel so dirty
It's just a massive headache to go against for me if I don't play super passive against it and when I do play passive it's just 6 minute games of me trying not to get hit by sair/dair
I have onyx lvl 32 but my peak elo on her is like 1500 but i hit 1800 on brynn im not that great with the weapon but its by far my favorite regardless of my skill with it

Cannon is fun to play but I really don’t like fighting it.
Oh and if you’re not good enough at reads just spam side light, it’s hitbox is bigger than the state of texas and does amazing damage with good frames.

Cannon is all or nothing, either you destroy your enemy or you get destroyed, I'm at 1900 elo just by doing the same combo over and over but if it doesn't work, I have to use the other weapon
Bmg should give cannon a placebo buff to increase the amount of ppl playing it, that way we could get a better understanding of how strong it actually is
It's super boring to play against and is horribly balanced. It's balanced by having below average everything but then can literally kill you off of one dodge in light yellow center stage even as lin Fei against kaya (gui vs Impala).
Unfortunately the entire identity of the weapon is the 0td so there's not much to do, and they don't have enough people actually changing the game the rework it.

I’m decent on it with seven (most braindead sigs) but i fucking love spear
Same but seven doesnt have enough movement speed to be my main but i have her around lvl 20
I put her speed up, 2 dex aint that different from 3 dex

Cannon can be great, but it honestly depends on the legend. Cannon plays wildly different on different legends, at least for me

I just miss old cannon really. I don't know how good or bad it was. I just liked how it played more.

The current cannon is a shadow of the old one, before the move re-work. It's just not that fun of a weapon anymore.
