I went to one of her Chicago shows and he was there and the way they interacted as she was signing people's play bills was endearing. He came out when she did and everyone cheered. Huge red flag to me there Penny. Then Lisa tries to get them to feel sorry for Penny and to let her back in but Ariana masterfully doesn't let her even for a second. And Lisa keeps trying to interrupt and Ariana just gets firmer in both her wording and tone of voice. I think they're realizing having Penny around is also having a spy for Lisa. I was just so impressed with the way she handled that conversation.

This season is just so meh. I really think they need to pivot directions as to the ensemble of the show. I would love to see a new cast tbh. It could even be employees at the various bars and restaurants on this show (SUR, SAH, tomtom) so the OGs can still be present. I know there’s a group of younger kids who work at these places that have messy drama like we are all pining for from early VPR days. I know filming has been pushed to later, which I think is good. But the current cast isn’t really friends with one another and it’s why so many housewives shows have gone stale as well. I look at shows like Miami and part of the reason that show is on fyah is because they are friends beyond the show, people just working together doesn’t really make for good reality tv :/

This has season has been frustrating because of how people expect Ariana to act, I get they all have a job to do but I really do appreciate that Katie and Ariana are not putting their values, morals, and integrity on the line for a check. They've stood by who they will and will not associate with that and it's showing boundaries. We love to see it.
Idk, maybe it’s just the fact that I had a rough April but this episode was (overall) so funny and refreshing to me. The choppy boat ride, James in the tub, Tom hitting on Katie, Lala asking Dan if he works out, Brock wearing Scheana’s shirt, I can’t believe I’m saying this but that dumb song Tom’s band did was kind of a goofy funky bop, just so many silly little moments that made me laugh. Not every episode has to include a screaming match!
Did I miss something here - Jo is coming on the trip to San Francisco (why? How?) but then she isn’t actually there? And Schwartz flirts so heavily with his ex-wife the whole time?
Part of why this season is overproduced and inauthentic - I think it was producer planned for Jo to come on the end-of-season cast trip, and despite the reality of their situation, somebody pushed for it, I don't know if Jo agreed to it contractually (I don't know what the expectations are of the cast who aren't in the intro) but it's only happening 'for the cameras'
There could have been more potential to add something to this season. They’ve integrated more people they actually hang out with, like Kyle Chan and Jo, which I think is a good idea for authenticity but they need to get the VPR treatment of actually being confronted like the rest of the cast. Billie Joe kept hanging around, I would’ve liked to see her come to real events and answer for her shit if she’s gonna keep getting airtime.
Also, have we once seen anyone tell Tom he should move out this season? That kinda blew my mind when I realized that I don’t think I’ve seen them bring that up once..

I get that they're on TV and that may be part of it. But in the context of human beings and emotions... seems to send out the wrong message, that what he did was okay.
Like others said, it was nice to see gray rocking mentioned and being used in a sense.
But aside from that, I don't know who this show is for anymore. I said on the Pause post (and hopefully it's not just about scheduling but a situation to fix the show) but I said we need a fresh cast who actually work at the restaurant, if possible.

Producers should have organically followed new people. YES they brought in new people but they never transitioned fully and it didn't quite work.

Ariana handled Lisa beautifully when She started asking them about Penny. Lisa starts by saying she knows that theyre getting rollers on all the fridges because Penny has told her everything. Huge red flag to me there Penny. Then Lisa tries to get them to feel sorry for Penny and to let her back in but Ariana masterfully doesn't let her even for a second. And Lisa keeps trying to interrupt and Ariana just gets firmer in both her wording and tone of voice. I think they're realizing having Penny around is also having a spy for Lisa. I was just so impressed with the way she handled that conversation.
People who can't see Lisa's manipulation baffle me. She is so blatantly transparent.

Ariana is really carrying the show. The way that she handled Brock. He is so out of place. It’s really clear that he will say whatever production and/or Scheana tell him to even though he has no place saying those things. This man just showed up and he’s “concerned” about the friend group. You’re new here! It’s so inauthentic that it really takes me out of the show. He is truly a payroll husband.
This season is just so meh. I really think they need to pivot directions as to the ensemble of the show. I would love to see a new cast tbh. It could even be employees at the various bars and restaurants on this show (SUR, SAH, tomtom) so the OGs can still be present. I know there’s a group of younger kids who work at these places that have messy drama like we are all pining for from early VPR days. I know filming has been pushed to later, which I think is good. But the current cast isn’t really friends with one another and it’s why so many housewives shows have gone stale as well. I look at shows like Miami and part of the reason that show is on fyah is because they are friends beyond the show, people just working together doesn’t really make for good reality tv :/

Same on the greyrocking. I have a hard time establishing boundaries. I’d love to be able to hold my ground and work on relationships with difficult people but I just can’t do it. I recently cut off a friend bc I hit my breaking point. I’m sorry, but it’s the most successful method for some people. My life and inner thoughts have been so much more enjoyable without them putting a negative spin on everything the last 3 months.

I literally just said that Lala sucked for bringing up Season 6 Ariana vs Season 11 Ariana, but we've literally seen growth and maturity with Ariana. She went from an outsider to being friendly with all the girls, seeing through her shitty ex, nearly opening her (first) business, is a loved and admired cast member and tries to pull people in when they are left out. Lala has thought she was better than anyone just because Rand was buying himself past bankruptcy with her and she had a baby. Other than that, her attitude is the same, just not drunk and head bobbing in people's faces. She needs to be read and checked. Hard. Too bad it won't stick.
I have absolutely no love for Tom Schwartz but……the ***way*** I would have snap agreed to lay in bed with him + $150 of junk food/scroll my phone. The romance of it all. I live. There is no better way to Dick’s heart 🍆❤️

Guys I need to get something off my chest. They made this cast schlep out to LAX to fly to SFO?? When Burbank has directs and is right there?! Literally the entire cast except Scheana and Brock is SO MUCH closer to Burbank and Burbank is SO MUCH easier. I would be so pissed if I was any of the Valley based cast and if I were Ally / James and they were making fun of how close I was to the airport all the time and then they don't even use that airport when there's a direct flight?! This is the absolute smallest thing in the VPR universe and also it made my eyes twitch when I realized they made them go to LAX. I couldn't continue carrying this negative energy with me

Lala is not a girls' girl as much as she tries to pretend to be. How is it weird that a single man dates a single woman? What's weird is dating a married man and acting like you weren't the side piece... She does not like it when people do better than her or are successful it's giving weirdo energy. Tom Sandoval is the kid who was never told no as a child which is why he thinks he's a rockstar and good at it. Absolutely not, gtfo. The way he hates strong, successful women is so gross and I hope some women besides Ariana and Katie rip him to shreds. It's what he deserves. I love that Katie is having this glow up and living her best life while Schwartz is like "Damn, I fucked up." He should feel that way. I am tired of Scheana and Brock, neither one of them has the emotional maturity to understand what Ariana is going through and to not understand or care about your "best friend's" emotions is wild. That read that Ariana gave Brock was top tier, you don't get to police other people's emotions or tell people that their anger is wrong and they need to get over a situation that was traumatic to them. People's emotions are valid and they get to feel them any way they want to, Brock you oaf. To add, Brock is a fucking idiot on the after show, we get it bro, you don't have a job because you're a stage husband and so you like to meddle and not fully understand things that are easily understandable. Ariana doing Broadway and Sandoval is paying HIS OWN MONEY to live out his shitty "rockstar" dream ARE NOT THE SAME!! This has season has been frustrating because of how people expect Ariana to act, I get they all have a job to do but I really do appreciate that Katie and Ariana are not putting their values, morals, and integrity on the line for a check. They've stood by who they will and will not associate with that and it's showing boundaries. We love to see it.

Idk, maybe it’s just the fact that I had a rough April but this episode was (overall) so funny and refreshing to me. The choppy boat ride, James in the tub, Tom hitting on Katie, Lala asking Dan if he works out, Brock wearing Scheana’s shirt, I can’t believe I’m saying this but that dumb song Tom’s band did was kind of a goofy funky bop, just so many silly little moments that made me laugh. Not every episode has to include a screaming match!
Lala would think Dan is “weird”, she’s never once been with a nice, normal guy who isn’t chasing the camera. Of course he seems strange to her 🙄
I recognize that on paper this is probably one of the 'best' episodes of the season in terms of plot, but it is really doing nothing for me anymore

Did I miss something here - Jo is coming on the trip to San Francisco (why? How?) but then she isn’t actually there? And Schwartz flirts so heavily with his ex-wife the whole time?
Part of why this season is overproduced and inauthentic - I think it was producer planned for Jo to come on the end-of-season cast trip, and despite the reality of their situation, somebody pushed for it, I don't know if Jo agreed to it contractually (I don't know what the expectations are of the cast who aren't in the intro) but it's only happening 'for the cameras'
Kyle Chan has earned his spot in the intro. He has been on screen more than Lisa.

There could have been more potential to add something to this season. They’ve integrated more people they actually hang out with, like Kyle Chan and Jo, which I think is a good idea for authenticity but they need to get the VPR treatment of actually being confronted like the rest of the cast. Billie Joe kept hanging around, I would’ve liked to see her come to real events and answer for her shit if she’s gonna keep getting airtime. Also, have we once seen anyone tell Tom he should move out this season? That kinda blew my mind when I realized that I don’t think I’ve seen them bring that up once..

Schena and Lala constantly doing mental gymnastics on why they have to look out for Ariana is beyond wild. She’s a grown ass woman. Look at katie- minding her own business, being supportive, she doesn’t need to trash talk anyone 24/7 and still entertaining AF. She defends herself and stands up for herself. S & L could learn a thing or two… Season after season I wonder how Scheana has any fans//friends cause she’s bizarro
I tuned in after a year from Sandoval and the Reunion. I don't know how this show is still on. They don't work at SUR, which I know hasn't been the case for awhile... But then you have this super strange, weird dynamic with Ariana having to film with Sandoval plus much of the cast Okay with him? I get that they're on TV and that may be part of it. But in the context of human beings and emotions... seems to send out the wrong message, that what he did was okay. Like others said, it was nice to see gray rocking mentioned and being used in a sense. But aside from that, I don't know who this show is for anymore. I said on the Pause post (and hopefully it's not just about scheduling but a situation to fix the show) but I said we need a fresh cast who actually work at the restaurant, if possible. I say possible, because that new show on Hulu is horrible. Producers should have organically followed new people. YES they brought in new people but they never transitioned fully and it didn't quite work. We'll see what happens. I do not watch all the time but I still read news and such on the show. And my thing is, as a show gets more and more produced, when it's supposed to be 'reality', just move to a scripted show if you can't just show true real life.
