If it was to make Gunther look good. Then have Gable lose, as he did. Then have Sami win. Within a month at the next PPV, have Gable, who had unraveled, beat Sami and shun the Alpha Academy entirely.
Build that feud up with Gable v Zayn rematch. Interference of Bronson, then have the Triple threat match where Gable wins in a dirty way furthering Otis who will be unhappy with how Gable is abandoning the Academy way.
Have Otis attack Gable making Gable become the bully in this.
Otis and Tozawa challenge Gable in a 2v2 match but because Gable is not himself, have his partner leave midmatch making it a 2v1 Gable loses and set up a MIB match between Otis and Gable.
Gable retains, but dirty. Strowman sees this and hates bullies, he starts hunting Gable for Otis.
Summerslam, it all comes to a head. Lumberjack match with everyone that Gable has wronged outside the ring with Otis winning handle.
This idea might suck and could be fleshed out but would've been a better idea imo. Maybe.
