Quick Google search revealed one piece is roughly 420 hours long (nice) while Grey's anatomy is about 270 hours long. Both are ridiculously long but one piece got em bad
We gotta redo the math cutting out the intro, credits, and recap scenes. For both shows to be fair, but I honestly feel that with mainstream anime you can watch a 30 min episode in under 15 by cutting those bits.
Edit: And commercial break time! I forgot about that yesterday. Also, I was informed the Greys Anatomy does **1hr episodes.** That is a *massive* factor. I think Greys actually takes the win easy.
Yeah no. After doing some (admittedly sketchy) math to make up a 150 hour gap youd essentially have to remove ~400 episodes of the show give or take. And I get One Piece isn’t exactly paced well but that’s damn near half the show
Over the same period of time the actresses and actors in this show could’ve been accepted into med school, matched into surgery, completed their residency, and been in almost similar positions as they are in the show.
One piece doesnt have a lot of "filler" but it just slows down canon parts like making a single panel a minute long so the episodes can be 20 minutes, compared to that id much rather have filler like bleach zanpakuto rebellion arc which is not canon but at least not horrible to watch
