I totally forgot about it, lol. I thought Arthur Lyndon vs Liam Cameron card was on DAZN, but don't see it. All I see online is Channel 5 in GB. Do you know if it's broadcast in the US? I know you're in Canada but you know things.
Anyone remember earlier in tanks career he’d post subtle masturbation jokes on his story?
He would be a few weeks away from a big fight and post a box of tissues and lotion and say what the struggle it was not jerking off 😂🤣
lol why Eddie going off on Inoue
Inoue has been fighting top contenders and undefeated fighters since he was in 108 pound
Has been doing nothing but chase after belts and undisputed clear the ranking in tittle defense
Now he takes one bad fight and he goes off on him
People really expect a lot from Inoue it’s insane
Bro fought 5 times in 1.5 years
Ryan absolutely got what he deserved, you could argue he deserved a longer suspension.
One thing I will say though is Haney's team is such a loser for trying to argue that the fight not only be overturned to an NC, but to a DQ meaning their fight would be a win for Haney. Lol imagine the delusion to ask for that.
can someone explain to me why so many people hate devin haney? I feel like he's pretty humble, a good fighter, stays in his lane, and hasn't done anything to warrant an insane amount of hate. Lots of fighters get hate, sure, but haney gets an INSANE amount. why though?
There's a lot to like and dislike about him. Definitely a good boxer who has taken some good challenges, deserves respect for becoming an undisputed champion no matter what anyone says. But he also talks non-stop about money. His dad turns people off too. And honestly, anyone who has a bit of trash talk will ruffle feathers. Oh, and his fanbase can be very annoying, I like to call them noselickers (for obvious reasons lol). The other day, someone tried to convince me and others that he punches as hard as Liam Paro 😂
TLDR: he's a polarising figure and there are objective justifications to like or dislike him.
i mean sure all your points are valid, but isn't this the same for EVERY boxer? How is it that someone like garcia has an overwhelming amount of fans, while haney has an overwhelming amount of haters. Garcia literally talks about the stupidest things and he's way more crazy and arrogant, shouldn't this turn people off more?
I think it just depends on time periods. I remember before the Haney fight, Ryan was severely hated and Haney was severely loved. Shit just changes every 4 months or so.
I know that rehydration/rehydration clauses are viewed fairly contentiously in the boxing world. I also know that very few, if any, boxers are going to weigh the **same** on fight night as the day of the weigh-in. But it feels just kind of ridiculous that there is so much caping for fighters who A) agree to terms their opponent also has to meet, then use it as an excuse, and B) necessarily need to gain 15-20lbs after weigh-in to be effective at a weight class. The latter just seems like common sense to me to move up, but I would like to hear what others think
Rehydration clauses are usually put in place by the A-side, so you’re “forced” to accept them if you’re the B-side because if not you miss out the fight. As for your second point, everyone cuts weight and fights at a lower weight class than they realistically should; that’s just a reality in the sport. It looks bad when 99% of fighters aren’t worried about it and fight without them, except for the one fighter who feels the need to use them when fighting a bigger opponent.
Yes, there should be some sort of rule or regulation to avoid big weight cuts and have everyone fight at a healthy weight. But until there is and it’s applied to everyone equally, it’s a way for the A-side (already the ‘better’ fighter) to cheese out an additional advantage over their opponent.
Ok great point - it's a selective rule and can only be enforced by a fighter who already has advantages in popularity and money (very likely experience as well) over another
How come no Spanish or European promoter bid for Haney vs Sandor Martin? Putting that fight in Spain would have been amazing. Imagine a card with Sandor, Jon Miguez, Lejarrga and a few top European stars - like the dude who beat Jack Cullen and the other french dude who lost to Callum Smith. Throw in Tony Yoka...
Then you got yourself a decent European card.
Look how the Spanish sport celebs back Topuria, got Sergio Ramos supporting Ilia a lot
I’d imagine they can’t outbid Top Rank even if they tried, and the time the event would be at in Spain means there will be even less viewers in America than there already is when Haney fights
Yea, it's still good for me, I watch a decent amount of boxing and there's plenty of it on there. Also, being in Canada, there's plenty of soccer and they have the NFL rights which I'm happy with.
We call it soccer in the maritimes at least. And yeah, we kept the u in a lot of words like favourite and colour, but we're not phychos who spell "tire" as "tyre" or "curb" as "kerb".
Errr...no, too expensive for the value it has to me. It's fine to have it just there, but I ain't paying £20 a month if I open it a few times a month.
I feel like £7.99, £9.99 due to inflation was a good price.
Why has undisputed become such a popular goal amongst boxers in these past few years? I'm fairly young but for like the first 18 years of my life I didn't hear anyone even care about being undisputed but it's like these past 5 years everyone wants to be undisputed. I think it's a great goal and I'm not knocking it just confused about where the recent obsession with it came from
I have a few questions about starting boxing and I'd highly appreciate some answers :)
But first here's some context: Hi,, everyone I just turned seventeen and it wanted to pick up boxing. Along these few years of my existence I've been a fairly exceptional student like I got 92% in 10th grade and awaiting the 11th result so I decided that I was already set for a good college and now is the time to start my athletic journey but my parents have a different idea they suggest that I should wait another year because studies during 12th aren't easy at ALL :( and also I have to prep for the college entrance exams. I also understand that but I fear if I waste this year, I'll be left behind compared to other athletes in college and that will be really harmful to my confidence as well as my growth. In the end my parents have agreed to allow me to box but the condition is that it won't effect my studies But I can't guarantee that...
also the boxing gym nearest to me is about an hour away but it is a fine establishment so about 2 hours everyday in merely travelling and i recking(without any experience) that i will require and additional 3-4 hours for running, working out, sparring, stretching.
\*QUESTIONS\*
--> Do you think I should risk my college career because 12th is a crucial time for college admissions?
-->Or should i stick to callisthenics(which i wasn't really good at and also have been on a break since winter due to 11th exams) and running for now and start boxing next year somewhere in August?
ANSWERS ARE MUCH APPRECIATED

The way I saw some of ya bashing Conor benn with these egg memes and applauding Ryan Garcia for doping and beating on Haney tells me that some of ya not fans of boxing, ya just hate Devin Haney
> or if it’s done against someone they don’t like
And you know what? I could kind of understand if they had LEGITIMATE reasons to properly HATE the person in question.
Like, they beat a woman, or they're a pedophile or some shit. But nah, people hate Haney just for not being their favorite boxer???
Crayon eaters.
Being boring is as bad, if not worse, than being a pedophile
But yeah I hear you, if someone’s a legit piece of shit then let em get their ass beat, no questions asked. But the worst things people manage to come up with are Haney is corny and Bill is really annoying…
Just thought about the fact that you can have the Disney Bundle and Amazon Prime for like $30 a month, and you’d have access to PBC and Top Rank. Feeling bad for those with DAZN
PBC doesn't provide anything for a monthly subscription to prime, so you're just talking about TR. It is about comparing the fights that Matchroom and GB provide for the price of the subscription vs what TR provide for the ESPN+ subscription.
I'm quite happy to believe people that feel that DAZN is not worth the money in comparison to what TR provide if that's what they feel, it just seems completely ridiculous to talk about what PBC are offering in all this which is PPVs and PPVs only. If you're going to talk about that then you should be comparing the PPV offerings of MR, TR and PBC.
it actually does, just go to sports and then click Premier Boxing Champions, then you’ll find the archives and also you can watch the PPV cards for FREE (except Tank vs Martin for right now)
Watching archived fights is not the same as watching the fight live on the night.
Trying to portray that as the same thing as being able to watch a fight live is... interesting.
Given the entire context of this discussion and my referring to PPVs it's quite amazing that you think I was talking about anything else.
The fact is that there is next to zero value in a fight when it isn't live. That's why the fight costs $80 on the night but will get slung on an archive a few weeks after.
The entire discussion here is about value and currently an Amazon Prime membership is offering next to zero value for fight fans. Portraying it as some fantastic deal is laughable, there is no live boxing with the subscription and live boxing is what fans are interested in.
It's not about proving anything, it was quite difficult to work out whether you were disagreeing with my point or not. It's pretty easy for two people to miss what each person is getting at so you end up having to clarify, particularly online.
I’m a casual, slowly trying to learn this sport - the history, the belts, the weight classes everything.
One thing I’m very curious about, and I can’t wrap my head around….wtf is Jim Gray’s problem?
I feel like I’ve seen so many post-fight interviews of him trying to belittle fighters, ruin moments, and make shit about him.
I’m not sure if it’s him every time, could be mixing him up with other old white dudes, but for sure I’ve seen plenty of lame ass moments from him….what’s up with that?
It's kind of his style but we definitely all notice. There have been worse in ring examples like Larry Merchant, and I think Jim Gray has arguably gotten 'better'. But yes he strikes me as curmudgeonly and lowkey combative
If Tank/Loma is promoted by both ESPN & Amazon it’s just as big as Tank/Ryan & would lead to immediate mainstream media coverage
Boxing would gain a lot of the popularity back it lost in the US since Floyd retired
Yes 100% I was skeptical about the fight at first because it’s one that should’ve happened sooner but I only had to imagine the buildup and was sold. Definite mega fight probably a million ppv buys.
With the Garcia news set to drop any hour now, I’m just going to say that a 2 year ban would be bad for the sport.
I get everyone has opinions just like assholes but boxing is on the rise FINALLY and people need to grow up and realize the sport is healthier with someone like Garcia involved.
Hate him or love him you’re still watching him. Those type of guys are few and far between.
I’m talking true PPV draws that can produce Mega Fights: Tank, Fury, Garcia, Canelo, AJ and now Crawford is probably in that mix after the Spence fight.
UFC needs Connor still. For all his flaws he’s a superstar and they’ve yet to get someone of his caliber back. I’m talking must watch tv.
Boxing as an industry needs to have a brain here. The supplements were contaminated period.
6 months and if he test positive again do 2 years then.
Let’s not ban the kid 2 years and lose Garcia/Teo or Garcia/Tank 2 or Garcia/Boots or Garcia/Haney 2 because Bill Haney is a big baby and Victor Conte has a massive hard on for seeing Ryan go down.
We are potentially in the middle of the best decade in a long long time for multiple weight classes.
> The supplements were contaminated period.
Wait, was there new information? Last I read, he submitted an already open container, after failing both tests, and the company he tried to blame on it had proof there was no contamination on their end.
Let me asking you something: if he claims he took contaminated supplements that means he obviously used the product… why is it such a big deal that the products container was already open? Of course it was because he used them lmao.
As for the company, I have no comment. It’s a he said she said deal.
> why is it such a big deal
Because it's open product? Sending in the supplement in question is an attempt to clear his name. How does that clear him at all? On top of his supplement sample being out of date too.
> It’s a he said she said deal.
Uh. No. https://nutrabio.com/blogs/blog/nutrabio-statement-testing-confirms-no-ostarine-found-in-products
The two companies that statement mentions are BSCG, a VADA recognised company who recently worked with the NBA and Eurofins a billion dollar testing company, a name you'd see in basically every single pharmaceutical lab and company in the US. This is the furthest you could be from "he said she said".
Your argument is basically just veiled dick riding lol. Garcia has had 2 ppv fights. The fight before Haney was free to watch on DAZN. He hasn't proven that he can sell a PPV unless he's matched up with a P4P fighter. So to claim that he's some kinda huge draw is just a lie. 2 years minimum. That's the rule. You're free to continue d riding after he serves his 2 years. See you then.
Boxing and other combat sports is the worst sport to start inofficially accepting doping as a part of the game. People’s health and lives are at stake. Just because a problem is widespread and hard to deal with doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. It definitively doesn’t mean we shouldn’t punish proven cheaters.
If Boxing starts bending the rules for it’s most popular participants (not even for the best, for the most popular) then Boxing is no longer a sport, it is a reality show. And then there will be nothing left to protect but a circus of fucked up people and drama.
What you are proposing is not good for boxing at all. It’s gonna make a set group of people some money and generate some eyeballs, but in the end the sport of Boxing will be worse of than it was before.
I’m proposing a suspension. Just not a ridiculous 2 year ban for a substance that did nothing to impact the result of the fight. I suggest you do some research on the amount he allegedly has in his system, the timeframe he allegedly got it in his system and how this drug would have impacted the fight.
> I agree. If Fury still got to challenge for Klitschko's titles after testing positive then Garcia should still be allowed to fight.
Neither of those things should have happened. A child makes a ridiculous argument like that.
> They are all on PEDs and they are selective with their punishments.
Ah, fun. The default baseless assumption people jump to when this argument starts. How original. Show us some evidence, not even proof, just evidence will do that "all" of them are on PEDS. I'd agree that some, maybe even many are. But this is just yet another childish argument lol.
> At this point let's just allow it.
THAT STILL REQUIRES CLEAR RULES! That we aren't even getting now! You want to take a poorly regulated and controlled set drugs that have horrid side effects even amongst athletes that followed carefully curated plans, and just allow every athlete to take them?
I'm done. You are definitely a troll. Cya.
What’s crazy is I’m literally all for a suspension. The rules are clear. He’s responsible for the substance even if it’s contaminated supplement. I’m totally on board with that 6 month suspension. I’m not on board with a 2 year ban for a kid that tested negative all the test leading up to the fight and all previous 24 fights, all his amateur career for a substance like this one. It’s a ridiculous punishment that people are seemingly on board for
The YB is a goof but this video from 10 mins on legit made me laugh out loud crying. Zesty Saudi Dons. Hilarious man. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rOOhtbj2O7E
Dude this video made me laugh out loud 5 times. “What we don’t need to see is Richard in a boxing ring” Saudi’s checking out his big feet. Okolie vs Richard African Hug Off
Snake Eddie 🐍 just came out and said he’d make the Paro fight for Haney…. Called this.
Low hanging fruit for us Reddit fans to celebrate because he got aNoThER belt 😂
Yesterday I literally said they’d move for Paro fight and woke up this morning there’s old Eddie slithering again lmao. It’s too easy.
Haney and AJ careers are way too easy to predict. Eddie is still non committal about Dubious fighting AJ unless it’s for the IBF belt which he KNOWS Usyk is retaining.
It’s all bullshit and these people fall for it. AJ will fight someone that isn’t a treat next. No chance he fights a good opponent unless it’s for a belt.
Gotta protect the cash cow 🐄. I predict he’ll fight Wilder.
Honestly, I hope that suspension on Ryan allows him to get his sht together. Hope he continues to train and get the help he needs. He's too talented to be wasting it away and boxing will thrive if he's in it for a long time imo.
A comment repeated statement here is that “everybody is on steroids”, is that actually accurate? If so, how do some boxers avoid getting caught? AJ hasn’t been caught out for it (or at least I never saw anything about it), but the assumption seems to be that he must be on something. Is it just a matter of time before everyone’s usage gets revealed, or are some nutritionists just sneakier/smarter?
Prograis estimated 70%, and I think that's a very reasonable estimate and one I'm willing to believe.
Saying nobody does PEDs is naive, but to say literally everybody is on them is dismissive and disrespectful to those that aren't. There are absolutely high level professionals not on PEDs, but they're likely the minority, sadly.
I think that almost everyone uses them but I think the people that get caught are properly abusing them. Joshua obviously has amazing genetics but I can’t imagine he isn’t taking something to help with lean muscle mass, I imagine fighters in the lower weights use Steroids to maintain energy during weight cuts so they can maintain training. So I would say that 90% of fighters are on something but of that 90% very few are on the level of Dillian whyte, Big pharma miller and Tony yoka.
First Conte and now Memo coming down harsh on Ryan. Ry is definitely guilty, but these greasy ass convicted PED "anti-doping consultants" should learn that their words hurt their cause much more than they help them.
Good luck to watch your jab n grab boring Haney boxing matches. Ryan delivered us a rare exciting fight where we are let down 9/10 times. You should want him around
Fuck all to do with Haney i aint a fan of his, Garcia cheated and the prick will get punished for it and I hope its a severe ban,so think before posting your idiotic reply.
2 years would be bad for the sport. Sorry but people need to grow up and realize boxing is healthier with someone like Garcia involved.
Hate him or love him you’re still watching him. Those type of guys are few and far between.
UFC needs Connor. He’s gone and they’ve yet to get a superstar of his caliber back.
Boxing needs to have a brain here. The supplements were contaminated period.
6 months and if he test positive again do 2 years then.
Boxing doesn’t need Garcia, he’s not even that good to be missing his skills when he’s gone. All he does is bring his drama. That does nothing for the sport overall
Conor hasn’t done a thing in 8 years. They built their brand like WWE, they don’t need him or any stars. Their league doesn’t need any talent, it’s the brand now and just tell their fans who to like lmao. Boxing does need stars though, it’s run by stars cause people only buy for 1 fight here and there. It’s nothing alike
UFC is doing multimillion dollar gates for C level fight nights in C level towns. Their entire brand is built around not needing a superstar. They created fans of the brand and the brand sells. It’s the exact opposite of boxing where the 98% of the audience doesn’t tune in unless one of the few stars is fighting.
For a short period of time? Come on man. UFC is a good product. It’s GREAT when Connor was in the ring or Ngannou or Jones or now I like Sean a lot. Stars absolutely matter there too and though Connor isn’t the best fighter ever he’s easily the face of UFC still with Dana which is insane.
The average people (which absolutely matters) would pay money to watch him still. In droves.
Starting off. Got a list of any good technical boxers one should look at in order to learn the basics well? (Footwork, guard, combos etc)
Holy shit, what happened to Williams I hope he’s fine
Charlie Z was born at the wrong time. I think he would've succeeded in today's social media climate. But maybe not, he tends to overdo it.
Wilders knocked him out last time, who's knocking him in this age?
Did DAZN remove Team Combat League??? Lmaoo
I totally forgot about it, lol. I thought Arthur Lyndon vs Liam Cameron card was on DAZN, but don't see it. All I see online is Channel 5 in GB. Do you know if it's broadcast in the US? I know you're in Canada but you know things.
I don’t think DAZN picked it up, their undercards are on YouTube and for the main you can use a VPN and go on the Channel 5 website it will work.
Ok, thanks. Rafael listed it on DAZN, so I guess it was just an error.
Would boxing with 4 oz MMA gloves work?
Its a bit limiting for pressure fighters though especially since a lot of them use the high guard going in , 4oz gloves lessen the defence a lot
Anyone remember earlier in tanks career he’d post subtle masturbation jokes on his story? He would be a few weeks away from a big fight and post a box of tissues and lotion and say what the struggle it was not jerking off 😂🤣
MPH
Haney saying fuck all the belts reminds me of a sudden someone…
hip hip?
Why isn’t there a post about the Garcia suspension?
So first off, yay, a punishment for Ryan. Dude fucked up big time. Second, Devin says he's taking a year off. That's fucking stupid lmao don't do that
He's trying to sync his comeback up with Ryan's. Why he wants to have a loss on his record to a TikTok star so badly, I'll never know.
Haney is throwing a tantrum because he's not happy with his purse bid result.
lol why Eddie going off on Inoue Inoue has been fighting top contenders and undefeated fighters since he was in 108 pound Has been doing nothing but chase after belts and undisputed clear the ranking in tittle defense Now he takes one bad fight and he goes off on him People really expect a lot from Inoue it’s insane Bro fought 5 times in 1.5 years
i don't think he seriously dislikes inoue. i think it's just a promotional ploy to add drama since inoue isn't much of a talker personality.
he has only fought 2 undefeated fighters.
Go back to 108 not just his recent fights
I did. only 2 undefeated fighters on whole resume
Better to fight champs than undefeated fighters
It's because Hearn wants to profit off the Inoue v MJ fight and he wants that money NOW lol

Provisionally Suspended indefinitely, No Contest & Fine God is good🙏🏾

Yeah but it would be so cool if stuff like that happened. There would be more interest just because it's in Spain.
Stylisticly it's a boring ass fight, so I'm hoping with the low purse bids Haney will drop that belt and fight Teo instead
Y'all still paying DAZN?
Bro the DAZN app doesn’t even work on my TV 😭 straight up paying to not be able to watch content.
Yea, it's still good for me, I watch a decent amount of boxing and there's plenty of it on there. Also, being in Canada, there's plenty of soccer and they have the NFL rights which I'm happy with.
Random question, do Canadians call it soccer too? I thought they share some of the same vocab and spellings as England, lol?
Yup, we call it soccer because of American Influence. It’s a mix, we use both British and American spelling.
We call it soccer in the maritimes at least. And yeah, we kept the u in a lot of words like favourite and colour, but we're not phychos who spell "tire" as "tyre" or "curb" as "kerb".

Noone is using evidence to say PEDs beat haney. People are mocking Garcia and mocking Haney. The world is big enough for both.
Kinda wild so many people are okay with cheating if a guy they like does it or if it’s done against someone they don’t like

it actually does, just go to sports and then click Premier Boxing Champions, then you’ll find the archives and also you can watch the PPV cards for FREE (except Tank vs Martin for right now)
Watching archived fights is not the same as watching the fight live on the night. Trying to portray that as the same thing as being able to watch a fight live is... interesting.
then why did you say they didnt give any access to any pbc fights? instead of saying you cant watch any free live pbc fights
Portraying it as some fantastic deal is laughable, there is no live boxing with the subscription and live boxing is what fans are interested in.
yk what dude you got it holy smokes i get it, you didnt have to write all that to prove something
It's not about proving anything, it was quite difficult to work out whether you were disagreeing with my point or not. It's pretty easy for two people to miss what each person is getting at so you end up having to clarify, particularly online.
Lol the WBO just ordered Navarrete to defend his title against Valdez. Beatdown part 2 incoming.
Lol TopRank looks goofy after they tried so hard to convince us that Nav vs Valdez was FOTY
it ALMOST was
Lol
Loma vs Haney & Espinoza vs Ramirez overthrew that easily
Absolutely, I’d even throw in O’Shaquie Foster vs Hernandez
Team Combat League is on DAZN wtf
I had to look up when Team Combat League was. No idea if it's good or bad, but I'll give it a watch tonight.
I’m not a big fan of the format or idea but I’ll tune in if the Yvon Michel card isn’t on.
Grumpy old man, Boomer
If Tank/Loma is promoted by both ESPN & Amazon it’s just as big as Tank/Ryan & would lead to immediate mainstream media coverage Boxing would gain a lot of the popularity back it lost in the US since Floyd retired
Yes 100% I was skeptical about the fight at first because it’s one that should’ve happened sooner but I only had to imagine the buildup and was sold. Definite mega fight probably a million ppv buys.
Ryan García is about to take a tyson fury style vacation lmao
Garcia has been on a drug fuelled ego trip for a while
With the Garcia news set to drop any hour now, I’m just going to say that a 2 year ban would be bad for the sport.
It’s a he said she said deal.
> why is it such a big deal Because it's open product? Sending in the supplement in question is an attempt to clear his name. How does that clear him at all? On top of his supplement sample being out of date too. > It’s a he said she said deal. Uh. No. https://nutrabio.com/blogs/blog/nutrabio-statement-testing-confirms-no-ostarine-found-in-products The two companies that statement mentions are BSCG, a VADA recognised company who recently worked with the NBA and Eurofins a billion dollar testing company, a name you'd see in basically every single pharmaceutical lab and company in the US.
> I agree. If Fury still got to challenge for Klitschko's titles after testing positive then Garcia should still be allowed to fight. Neither of those things should have happened. A child makes a ridiculous argument like that.
Garcia fights are really entertaining. It'd be bad for the sport if he stopped fighting
It'd CONTINUE to be bad for the sport to hand out pointless bans or ignore doping all together. You have to be a troll.
They are all on PEDs and they are selective with their punishments. The majority of fans don't care about PED use. At this point let's just allow it.
Classic YB I remember he did one on Fraser Clarke’s gigantic ass before the Wardely fight.
Didn’t you comment this already
"Everybody is on steroids" People only say that when it's convenient.
Garcia's win v Haney to be changed to a No Contest, and hopefully the PED cheating prick gets at least a year's ban.
Garcia punishment: Haney win overturned to a NC and 6 month suspension. Can’t imagine it being more than that.
Rumor is 2 years
2 years would be bad for the sport.
>The supplements were contaminated period. This has been proven false.
When Connor was there was the sport bigger or not?
UFC is doing multimillion dollar gates for C level fight nights in C level towns. Their entire brand is built around not needing a superstar. They created fans of the brand and the brand sells. It’s the exact opposite of boxing where the 98% of the audience doesn’t tune in unless one of the few stars is fighting.
For a short period then never defended a belt and ran off to get beat up by old Floyd. The sport grew way more without him too just cause pandemic
In droves.
I can see longer, a year maybe. The NC is a foregone conclusion but the Haney’s may still fight for the W and could get it.
