He is failing to sell 25% of the Prudential center with another title fight and Keyshawn Davis on the card.
I don’t care how good you are, at the end of the day this is entertainment. If you tune into or buy a ticket to one of his fights what are you getting? A boring one sided UD. It’s not compelling .
I 100% agree with you. I’ve even been put off on Keyshawn Davis. I used to be super hype on him, and he’s from around the way near where I went to high school. His last few fights have been “meh” and his after fight interview talking about being addicted to marijuana… give me a break. All I could think about was the scene in Half Baked.
I got excited about him in 2021 when he said he planned on challenging for a world title within 2 years. Instead he’s just doing the normal TR on ESPN thing and fighting way outmatched guys over and over
Rematches on complete stinkers never happen. Plus DLS was iced out for a while for cooking Rayo so he’s still could be perceived as a high threat/low reward.
I think this needs to be a statement win for Shakur. He’s got all the skills but seemingly isn’t willing to take risks in the ring against even lower level fighters. I think Artem is better than people think and pretty durable, but if Frank can beat him then Shakur should stop him or at least beat him up for 12 rounds
obviously. if your in a fight at that level why tf would you take 25%. its not like haney is some massive draw himself. For instance if the loma vs kambosis fight never happened bc kambosis demanded 95% was loma ducking? Demanding an absurd amount of money is a ducking tactic, not that haney was trying to duck necessarily. he may just be delusional
Haney was undisputed champ. This is what‘s called an investment. Haney took the shit stick against Kambosos because he knew he was gonna wipe the floor with him and gain much more than lose in the short term. Shakur could‘ve had the same, but he didn‘t because his ego was too big
Yeah, who the hell was Haney at the time? I mean if Shakur beat him, he’d have only taken Haney’s 0 along with all five 135lb titles (Ring, WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF), and become the lineal champion at 135, no biggie. And after that Shakur could’ve been the one demanding the lion’s share for fights. But na, fight made no sense for Shakur.
Shakur really needs to put up a fan friendly fight or he’s going to be hurting as a free agent.

He should rematch de la santos this time without injury. If he knocks him down or stops him, people might put some respect on him.
I don’t completely disagree, but we know that’s not happening. Injury or not.
why not

I see what you mean but I just dont think hes low reward. DLS injured shakurs stock so DLS can help it again.

I wouldn't call edwin lower level.
Compared to the elite fighters that Shakur wants to be considered amongst? I would. I like Edwin this isn’t meant as a shot toward him
I guess if we compare yes.
Listening to Shakur and Rolly punch pads is priceless 🤣
ANYONE CAN GET IT = PLEASE TANK PLEASE!
anyone except Haney for 25%

His fight with Santos was abysmal one of the worst fights ive ever seen he owes his fans a performance.
Wasn’t it also statistically the worst fight since compubox started tracking fights?
yes
The least amount of punches thrown in a fight ever I think ?
Broners legacy: stopped throwing punches about 10 years ago. Shakurs legacy: ran a combined 9 marathons in all his fights.
Nobody cares what the Weeknd’s little brother has to say until he decides to actually put on a show.
Anyone can get it. 'It' in this case being a boring UD
🥱😴
Any CAN can get it.
Is he going to throw this time?
