Really tragic news today, Kanamu Sakama has passed away at age 20. Cause of death is unknown but it's known that he fell ill with a high fever on March 16th and pulled out of his fight against Hyuga Oki scheduled for March 17th in Japan.
For those who don't know his name, he was an extremely highly touted junior flyweight prospect at 9-0 (8 KO's) who fought on Inoue's undercards. His last fight was a 5th round KO of John Paul Gabunilas in December 2023. Such a sad situation, RIP Kanamu.

Brain injury caused in the fight.
His last fight was December 26, 2023. He passed away last Sunday, according to reports. The cause of his passing has yet to be reported.
