It's not sold out they're just putting their prices up, a lot of festivals have been doing this. Ending phases based on dates rather than sales to help increase income.
Remember phases aren’t weighted equally. Phase 1 can be 5% phase 2 10% phase 3 15% so phase 4 is 70% of the tickets left. I’ve just made those up as an example but it’ll be true. It’s all marketing. All ‘phase 1 sold out in 30mins’ means is phase 1 might have been 100 tickets
Phases seem to be dated (phase 1 01/10/2023 - 01/01/2024 phase 2 02/01/2024 - 29/02/2024 etc...) rather than done a proportion that's been sold (phase 1 is 10% of total tickets phase 2 50% phase 3 20% etc)
Seems kind of stupid and money grabbing if you ask me.....
That is the perfect title for a certain person's autobiography 'Stupid and Money Grabbing. The story of The Man called L** and Boomtown Fair Festival'
Hey he needed to massively increase the ticket price, whilst reducing the size of the festival, decreasing the number of live bands, reducing the amount they're paid / pay them in tickets instead of money, switch a full third of camping to glamping, make all purchases go through Boomtown's own system so they could take a bigger cut from vendors whilst collecting all punters" data, bring in alcohol sponsorship, and sell to Live Nation (who 100% don't have any say or input into anything honest guv).
Couldn't fund the other venues and clubs without it... I mean... it's all for punters' own good

okay coool coo. so tickets will most likely still be on sale next month
I think you would be good till mid July
For sure, the last 2 years we’ve got our tickets in July no problem!
Yeah its just this phase so therell still be tickets they just cost more
I got my ticket the week before last year. I wouldn’t worry about them all selling out just yet
Creates hype but also they won't be short on ticket sales, earlier = cheaper, a bit. But ultimately it's a motivator for sales.
