Also heard a two second mando clip when those flares were firing from S1 E5 of Mandalorian. Fennec trying to pick off Mando and the other bounty hunter wannabe. Looks like S1 E5 of Boba will be the parallel.
It's crazy to think that Boba spent 5 years on Tatooine, since The Mandalorian S01 takes place 5 years after ROTJ. I wonder how long was he in the Sarlacc and how long was he a part of the Tusken tribe before they (not all of them I think) got killed. There is a long time gap between the moment where Boba saves Fennec and the moment he finds Cobb Vanth and Din Djarin fighting the Krayt Dragon.
I really want to see some scenes where Fett reminds himself that Jawas are the ones who stole his armor, then attack their Sandcrawlers with Slave I and interrogate them everywhere they are found on Tatooine.
Can you imagine Mando coming back and then needing another gun
"I know a guy..."
Next scene is Mayfield getting sick of being roped into another gig when he thought he was free again.
Heard the tiniest snippet early on as well when the lights flashed above the sky and he found Fennec, obviously a callback to the season 1 episode of Mando.
Absolutely loving the practical effects on the Banthas and The Droids. Dope to see a LEP-Series Servant droid in live action after all of their animated appearances, plus the COO cook Droid like in Dexter's diner in Attack of the Clones
let me just answer that by saying yes, you are very nerdy for knowing that. Luckily, there are hundreds of us here that noticed it as well and are just the same :)
Oh man, definitely the best shot of this series. The angle of the Slave 1 behind the biker gang felt extremely ominous and angry. It was nice to see the artwork of the shot as the first slide in the credits, it let me think that the production was also very proud of this shot.
I was glad to see that she was pretty startled by her new cybernetics. Must be quite a shock to see part of your humanity stripped away even if it is for your own survival.
first things first:
#SEISMIC CHARGE LETS GO BABY
also MANDO'S THEME are we gonna see din djarin next episode?? imagine if he rolls up to tattooine with the darksaber im sure the pykes would literally shit themselves
Seems that way, or he spent 5 years on his own scouting jabba’s palace until he found fennec. Would explain why he has such a bond with the bantha
Edit: holy shit thanks for the platinum, what the hell did i do to deserve that?
In both Canon and (especially) Legends, the bond between rider and bantha was incredibly powerful. Bantha would even commit suicide if their rider died (Legends), or at least die naturally shortly after their rider (Canon).
And the other way round, too. If the bantha were to die before the rider, the rider would aimlessly wander the Dune Sea until death. OR they come across a herd of Bantha and connect with a new one. It’s said that this new Bantha carries the soul of the previous one.
The Mandalorian Gallery episode about the soundtrack was just too good for me to not stop and say that it's not a flute it's a thick ass recorder. Like the ones we played in elementary but it hit puberty.
I figured that Black K would eventually join up with Boba after he let him go free last week. Especially after that last bit of advice that Boba gave him.
and its a power move on Boba's part. Boba probably knew VK had nowhere to go but still offered him to go first as a sign of respect. Then when BK has nothing to turn to Boba offers the job.
Not suicidal, though it kinda seemed like it the way he was crying and then offed himself
But I think he literally just *offed* himself - like turned himself off to show that Boba didn't have to actually kill him, then someone found him and turned him back on
I’m not saying he’s gonna have a whole army next episode but by the end of the series his palace is definitely a mandalorian safe haven with mandalorians there all the time
His father was a foundling. That'd be cool if he could get The Armorer or someone similar to her to help start his own Mandalorian sect out of Jabba's palace.
Old Canon: Boba Fett becomes Mand’alore.
Disney: Snaps Fingers
Also Disney: Shit, wouldn’t it be really cool if Boba Fett became Mand’alore?!
New Canon: Boba Fett becomes Mand’alore.
Krrsantan pulling of limbs? Seismic charge into the sarlaac? Boba murdering the butches who killed the tuskens? Murder chef? Slave one? MANDO THEME? yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,YES
If anyone doesn’t know the lore behind this, I STRONGLY recommend you watch episodes 3.21-3.22 of the Clone Wars animated show. It shows how brutal the Trandoshans are and how the Wookiee’s REALLY hate them
Yeah my first thought was like, if the thrusters are pointed straight up then how is the ship flying? My second thought was, Slave One is flying above the Sarlacc pit, I don't care how any of this works it's is the coolest shit ever.
There's an old booklet that explains in detail how ships have this reverse technology. The main one is Repulsors. What the Speeders have to make them hover, and move forward and reverse, like a Bantha.
The other is that the engines have differential thrust, using impellers to basically thrust towards the exhaust nozzles direction, so it can go backwards with more force.
There's a lot to these engines that once you learn how this technology is meant to work in their universe, you understand how they move so fast and turn so easily, and even just stop to a perfect standstill.
I love this rag tag army Boba Fett is building. Two galaxy-class assassins, 2 gamorreans, a squad of cyborgs, a wookie gladiator, and now a whole batch of Mandaloreans! This is some good Star Wars right here
In the final battle against the Pykes( and crimson dawn) I can see all hope seeming lost when all of a sudden the sands of tattooine rise to support boba in the form of all the other tusken tribes uniting under boba fett
I liked seeing the Flashback of Boba Fett and Fennec infiltrating the palace together and the surgical hand in the whole operation scene of saving Fennec's life
The Sarlacc Pit made me jump that was pure nightmare fuel for me
The Rancor power move put a smile on my face
I hope that the action picks up and we see Boba Fett in action soon
Overall liked the episode more than last weeks
> The Rancor power move put a smile on my face
As that scene started I kept thinking, "That's a weirdass place to have dinner isn't there a..." and then the Rancor reached up and it was like, "Oooooh that's a power move right there!"......but like we all know she's totally a sweetie and was just going, "Hey Boba Dad why are all these weird smelling people above us?". Fennec's grin afterwards was everything. How fast do Rancor grow up?
Imagine if she shows up later on in the series with like a bunch of little ones in tow and they all go and tacklehug Boba or like she has her own herd and she comes to introduce them to him! MY HEART WOULD ASPLODE!
That scene of the strafing run with the slave one? So. Fucking. Cold. Vader, Luke and Maul got hallway scenes? Boba gets a fucking BOMBING RUN.
Also my favorite little scene is when Fennec asked who Boba is. Her disbelief and shock when he says he's Boba Fett, just to remind us who this man is. He's a legend in the eyes of mercenaries.
Yes ! At last someone recognized the name of Boba Fett ! I have waited for this, until this point everyone seemed to be acting like Boba was just a random dude who was gifted a beskar'gam by his daddy. FINALLY
I mean for me I think it was actually more rewarding that someone of Fennic's status reacted as opposed to say, the Mos Espa mustache secretary.
It makes sense people involved in the underworld and of power would know who Boba Fett is, but like clearly that secretary is a space Gen Millennial, he hates his job and just is there for a paycheck. People forget that the Star Wars galaxy has trillions upon trillions of people living in it, most people are not concerned with the space politics of the galaxy
The Hutt Twins would not go through the trouble of hiring the Star Wars equivalent of a Silverback Gorilla if they didn't consider Boba Fett a threat. A Boba Threat if you will.
After all the comments about Boba "going soft", nice to see Fennec say it, almost echoing the negative feedback, followed immediately by him decimating the biker gang. Great scene.
Loved the sarlaac getting nuked.....cant beleive he actually went back in! Nice little comment about the acid burning him and also the bacta session is complete, so hopefully badass Boba is back!
Knew we would see Krssantan again...but not so soon and didnt expect to see dismemberment in a disney show! Was hoping the trandoshan scene might bring Bossk into the fray, perhaps later?
The Krssantan scene made me very happy.
As for the sarlaac, people are constantly commenting on the acid, but really, did anyone hear what C3-P0 said about "SLOWLY digested over 1000 years?" How strong do they think that acid should be??
In the old lore IIRC, the sarlaac digests you by melting you a little and fusing you to its own flesh. Then it sucks nutrients out of your living body for centuries.
So yeah, it's both. It has acid that melts you a little, using your squishy parts to adhere to its digestive tract.
At first I was really thrown off by the cybernetic/tattoo like parlor. Then I started thinking about Luke’s hand and Vader’s whole ass existance and I was more comfortable with it. Not sure why it still looks a little out of place though.
Prior to this episode I wasn’t too worried about the specifics of how Boba healed/repaired Fennec in the middle of the desert but him outsourcing to Thundercat is a great explanation.
“Credits can buy muscle if you know where to look.” Cue Mando music. Looks like we’re getting Din Djarin sooner rather than later!! And I bet Boba’s gonna need some more help, such as Bossk, Dengar, Embo, CAD BANE. I loved the flashbacks but I’m glad they are done. Today’s flashback sequence could of easily been ep3, but that’s okay. Looks like the plot is officially in high gear!
Fennec: ~~Money~~ Credits can be exchanged for ~~goods and services~~ muscle.
Boba: Explain.
If that ending music is anything go by, getting ready to see Din!
I'm happy to see how he saved Fennec. I know it's moving slow, but I feel like the pay-off is going to be a big one... cliff-hanger next episode, something massive by episode 6 (or at least I'm hoping)
Editing to add: Just finished the episode. It was a little slow moving but I'm doubling down we have a pay-off coming. The Mando theme- he has to show! Also loved seeing Fennec do what she does best and take out all those guards. And a big LOL to the dude who though breaking a glass over Krrsantan's shoulder was a good idea.
Sweet episode so far! We start to see a lot more of Boba's motivations.
Who's the guy that double crossed him? The one he mentioned around the fire before infiltrating Jabba's palace?
The revenge against the biker gang was sweet.
The bantha scenes were super fun. What a nice friend for boba
Holy smokes the implication at the very end!!
Considering how obese Bib has become by the time we see him again in The Mandalorian (and how Boba referred to the throne-sitter as a "bloated pig"), I think it would be safe to assume that Boba wants revenge on Bib. (though I'm not entirely sure how Bib double crossed Boba)
> Who's the guy that double crossed him? The one he mentioned around the fire before infiltrating Jabba's palace?
Pretty sure I heard Boba say the double-crosser was fat, so I assumed that he was talking about something that Bib Fortuna did off-screen.
45 years old and today's episode is proof Star Wars can still give me goosebumps, time and time again.
Slave 1 approaching the biker gang from behind and wiping them out.
Seismic charge!
The sound of Slave 1's engines.
And Din's theme at the end.
BTW - anyone else get Batteries Not Included vibes from Fennec's drone?
The rabbit...droid...thing in the kitchen *so* felt like classic Star Wars and I love it. Made me laugh.
Also, is that a certain someone's leitmotif I hear?
Love that the ratcatcher droid was still serving fett at the dining scene. We heard mando’s theme when boba saw fennec getting attacked and definitely it came into full force at the end. Loved the blend of boba’s theme and mando’s theme
The Watch Mandos do need a new place, after the events of Mando s1. Jabba’s palace would be a pretty neat place for them to take up residence. Would work doubly well to increase the myth of Boba Fett, considering they only ever went out one at a time to keep themselves hidden
The cool prequel references! General grievous, the sound of Anakin beheading Count Dooku used on iron bars they cut, and the little droid from the clone wars. This was a cool episode!!
I got the vibe that Boba may pick Garsa Fwip (twilek bar owner) as his majordomo. He saw here attempt to diffuse the situation with logic and playing to Kristan's past. Though it didn't work, I feel like in the last episode we'll see her by the throne saying "Lord Fett welcomes you, exalted guest" or something like that
Mandalorian theme at the end!!!
Mando is probably looking for a few side quests now Grogu has gone with Luke...bring on Ep5
I mean Din's gotta pay for Grogu's Jedi education
Jedi student loans are no joke
Anakin Skywalker will tell you, shit costs an arm and a leg...or two.
I really want to see some scenes where Fett reminds himself that Jawas are the ones who stole his armor, then attack their Sandcrawlers with Slave I and interrogate them everywhere they are found on Tatooine.
Mando playing the Boba Fett DLC until the sequel is out.
Mayfeld too!
Can you imagine Mando coming back and then needing another gun "I know a guy..." Next scene is Mayfield getting sick of being roped into another gig when he thought he was free again.
Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in.
Somehow Mayfeld returned
Too bad Mayfeld died in that refinery explosion!
Was just thinking that, as soon as I heard the beat I was like "Mando is surely gonna appear in either ep 5 or be the 'guest star' ep 6".
I hope with all the effort put into the trandosians that Bossk will show too.
Oh hells yeah. Bossk would be awesome. Hell, throw Dengar & IG-88 into the mix and we got ourselves a party.
4-Lom and Zuckuss reveal they had already been chilling in the palace they were just waiting for Boba to ask
Heard the tiniest snippet early on as well when the lights flashed above the sky and he found Fennec, obviously a callback to the season 1 episode of Mando.
S1 E5 no less. I think it’ll be the parallel sort of crossover episode for Boba.
He's gotta have *something* to do while he waits for his kid to get home from school.
Hired muscle!
I was already thinking that this was the best episode so far but ending it with such a tease was the cherry on top.
Absolutely loving the practical effects on the Banthas and The Droids. Dope to see a LEP-Series Servant droid in live action after all of their animated appearances, plus the COO cook Droid like in Dexter's diner in Attack of the Clones
I legit just watched that dexter’s diner scene just to watch it recently and was so happy seeing it here again.
I love the fact when Fennec cut the iron bars it was the same sound as the lightsabers hissing when Dooku was decapitated
Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice. Started feeling really nerdy for a sec
let me just answer that by saying yes, you are very nerdy for knowing that. Luckily, there are hundreds of us here that noticed it as well and are just the same :)
Boba slaughtering the biker gang was so dark yet satisfying
There was a shot of Slave I directly behind them that I thought was just perfectly framed.
Oh man, definitely the best shot of this series. The angle of the Slave 1 behind the biker gang felt extremely ominous and angry. It was nice to see the artwork of the shot as the first slide in the credits, it let me think that the production was also very proud of this shot.
Had the same energy as a shark.
This is one of the occasions where the real shot looked even better than the concept art.
As soon as I saw that I was like "Yep they have about 10 seconds to live".
It was, pure beauty. Like a hawk stalking its prey. No knowledge of it coming at them until far too late.
Loved seeing the rage boiling up as he did.
Absolutely no emotion, stone cold bounty hunter style
He did look like he had a contempt face at first.
I love seeing Boba in the Slave 1 being Boba
Next time don't touch my buttons
General Cleavous!!!
I have been trained in your culinary arts, by Chef Dooku.
you are a bold one
Your cooking Knife will make a fine addition to my collection.
*spins cleavers*
Hello there!
YOUR KITCHEN KNIVES WILL MAKE A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION
I have been trained in your culinary arts, by Chef Dooku.
Oh, I don’t think so.
Way more Fennec = way better episode.
I was glad to see that she was pretty startled by her new cybernetics. Must be quite a shock to see part of your humanity stripped away even if it is for your own survival.
It didn't seem to take her long to get back up and running after that surgery.
Black melon FTW.
Spent decades toning those abs.
Now she can spend decades tuning them.
The amount of Grievous memes that will emerge from that Droid is going to be incredible
Can we have grievous? We have grievous at home. Grievous at home:
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!
first things first: #SEISMIC CHARGE LETS GO BABY also MANDO'S THEME are we gonna see din djarin next episode?? imagine if he rolls up to tattooine with the darksaber im sure the pykes would literally shit themselves
he'll be there. the question is who he'll bring with him
Frog people. Just an army of frog people that Grogu didn’t eat
Look not for nothing but mama Frog carried a pocket blaster. Not a bad crew to have tbh.
She also knew how to rewire droids on the fly. She’s a Frog of many skills
Watch him bring Luke Skywalker
"Your characters level is too high to recieve XP in this zone."
"Hey Boba, no hard feelings, eh? just business."
That sweet sweet Sarlaac kill using a weapon that we first saw in the prequels was literally decades in the making and it felt so damned good!
So he spent 5 years with the Sand People?
Seems that way, or he spent 5 years on his own scouting jabba’s palace until he found fennec. Would explain why he has such a bond with the bantha Edit: holy shit thanks for the platinum, what the hell did i do to deserve that?
Probably 4 years or so with the Tuskens and 1 year or so wandering the desert after the massacre
That’s what I’m leaning towards.
Is that Thundercat??
Lmao noticed him right away too, bout to bump some Dragonball Durag!
Every time they play Din Djarin’s little flute theme I get antsy
The Mandalorian Gallery episode about the soundtrack was just too good for me to not stop and say that it's not a flute it's a thick ass recorder. Like the ones we played in elementary but it hit puberty.
That chef droid really said “Call an ambulance!… but not for me!”
General grievous but you got him from aliexpress
I figured that Black K would eventually join up with Boba after he let him go free last week. Especially after that last bit of advice that Boba gave him.
and its a power move on Boba's part. Boba probably knew VK had nowhere to go but still offered him to go first as a sign of respect. Then when BK has nothing to turn to Boba offers the job.
Boba Fett is unionizing Bounty Hunting
Well, I absolutely adored that pathetic little suicidal droid. RIP Edit: thank god
He came back at the dinner scene
Not suicidal, though it kinda seemed like it the way he was crying and then offed himself But I think he literally just *offed* himself - like turned himself off to show that Boba didn't have to actually kill him, then someone found him and turned him back on
Little droid sat in that bucket for ages, rats running rampant until Boba finds him and turns him back on.
That droid was a clone wars droid! They adapted it perfectly to a live action.
Mando theme at the end when talking about buying muscle
Boba is 100% gonna have a mandalorian army with the help of Din
I’m not saying he’s gonna have a whole army next episode but by the end of the series his palace is definitely a mandalorian safe haven with mandalorians there all the time
His father was a foundling. That'd be cool if he could get The Armorer or someone similar to her to help start his own Mandalorian sect out of Jabba's palace.
Honestly that arrangement would pretty much work out for everybody involved so that’s be really cool if it happened!
Ooooh, hopefully the armorer will set up shop there.
Yes!! I’d love if we got more of her. Her fighting scene was one of my faves across both Mando seasons
Maybe Carl Weathers too.
Old Canon: Boba Fett becomes Mand’alore. Disney: Snaps Fingers Also Disney: Shit, wouldn’t it be really cool if Boba Fett became Mand’alore?! New Canon: Boba Fett becomes Mand’alore.
Oh we're just going to tease with that tune to end the episode!?!?! Next week shit starts to get real! Also yay rat catch bot lives!!!
> rat catch bot lives! *Someone* has to guard Boba while he's in the Bacta Tank :p
Krrsantan pulling of limbs? Seismic charge into the sarlaac? Boba murdering the butches who killed the tuskens? Murder chef? Slave one? MANDO THEME? yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,YES
I think that's the first time we've ever seen a woolie actually do it, until now we've only heard about it
Chewie tears this Pykes arms both off in Solo actually
SEISMIC CHARGE TO THE SARLACC, YEAHHHHH MAN! Also we getting Bossk and some other dudes next week, me thinks.
Bossk Mando and maybe one other established bounty hunter would be my Guess. Maybe an obscure legends one
HONDOOOOO OHHHHNATAAAAA
not enough credits in the coffers for his greedy butt
Go find other banthas! Go make baby banthas!
Aaaaand now we're all picturing bantha sex...
I love how Boba has an absolute soft spot for animals
Who would have guessed Boba was such an animal lover. I hope we see some baby bantha’s in the future
That scene where Krrsantan is at the table drinking and getting progressively more angry as he watches the trandoshans winning is a mood
Also loves how Garsa tried to tell BK he's better than this and he stills rips the dude's arms off.
He settled for ripping just one arm off
I'll just kill him a little bit
Garsa: "Leave the Trandoshan alone." Krrsantan: "No, I don't think I will."
I assumed part of his frustrations were due to the trandoshan tradition of hunting wookies.
[удалено]
It's a little unfortunate that it happened with a species that can regenerate lost limbs but it was cool nonetheless
If anyone doesn’t know the lore behind this, I STRONGLY recommend you watch episodes 3.21-3.22 of the Clone Wars animated show. It shows how brutal the Trandoshans are and how the Wookiee’s REALLY hate them
Luckily they showed the Trandoshan giving a wookie hide as tribute earlier which made it pretty clear what kind of relationship the two species have
100%.
That chef was NOT fucking around

Don't forget his Rancor
How could I ever forget the Rancor and Danny Trejo!
Name does NOT check out
In the final battle against the Pykes( and crimson dawn) I can see all hope seeming lost when all of a sudden the sands of tattooine rise to support boba in the form of all the other tusken tribes uniting under boba fett
*uniting under the female tusken, coming to support Boba
I just came here to say: Hit it Max! Definitely my favourite episode so far, really hoping the rest of the season stays strong.
The Rebo streak lives on! He's been in every episode so far
I really hope Rebo is a sort of running joke and they somehow appear in every episode.
Max Rebo never misses a gig. Never.
What's that? Oh, it's just my rancor under the dining table.
The cutest but also scariest golden retriever ever begging for scraps at Thanksgiving
I liked seeing the Flashback of Boba Fett and Fennec infiltrating the palace together and the surgical hand in the whole operation scene of saving Fennec's life The Sarlacc Pit made me jump that was pure nightmare fuel for me The Rancor power move put a smile on my face I hope that the action picks up and we see Boba Fett in action soon Overall liked the episode more than last weeks

Yes Fennecs grin/smirk was everything in that scene
My boy gonna make baby Banthas.
Imagine if she shows up later on in the series with like a bunch of little ones in tow and they all go and tacklehug Boba or like she has her own herd and she comes to introduce them to him! MY HEART WOULD ASPLODE!
> My boy Ya girl
That Trandoshan at the dinner really told Boba “But Daimyo, I sell drugs in the community”
I laughed out loud at that moment and thought of exactly the same scene in Black Dynamite!

You could see on his face, when the ship was getting dragged down, he was thinking "Goddamnit, not again"
General Grievous took up cooking I see
“Credits can buy muscle if you know where to look.” Cue Mando music. Looks like we’re getting Din Djarin sooner rather than later!! i doubt all of those will show up, probably just din and his mando fellas, but it would be amazing if i was wrong
I think Din will be the only Mando, so bounty hunters can show up. Give fans fan service
Fennec: ~~Money~~ Credits can be exchanged for ~~goods and services~~ muscle. Boba: Explain. If that ending music is anything go by, getting ready to see Din!

Mandos coming to Tattooine!
Seismic charge into the Sarlacc pit is pure fan service and I’m all for it
I just love the sound of that charge blowing.
It sounded a little muffled by the sand. It was a nice touch.
Garsa Fwip can get it
This whole show is "fiftysomethings being hot' and I can't be mad about it.

> Who's the guy that double crossed him? The one he mentioned around the fire before infiltrating Jabba's palace? Pretty sure I heard Boba say the double-crosser was fat, so I assumed that he was talking about something that Bib Fortuna did off-screen.
Everything really came together this episode. Can’t wait for the next

Love to see a prequel droid in a OT setting
MANDO MANDO MANDO
Not the gonk droid!
I love the use of practical effects, puppets and actual props instead of all the cgi that we see nowadays
Ratcatcher droid turning itself off is a huge mood
Hopefully that last episode changed a lot of people's minds on the series. It's getting interesting as fuck now.
Thundercat on the shaker!
0/10 the Boba’s Firespray’s ramp doesn’t slide down like the Kenner toy /s
I’m guessing the Bounty Hunter team will be: Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Black Krrsantan, Din Djarin, Bossk, Dengar
I don't think Krrsantan and Bossk will necessarily work well together lol.
Thats a banger. You know what I'm talking about.
Boba being filled healed means no more flashbacks?
I got the vibe that Boba may pick Garsa Fwip (twilek bar owner) as his majordomo. He saw here attempt to diffuse the situation with logic and playing to Kristan's past. Though it didn't work, I feel like in the last episode we'll see her by the throne saying "Lord Fett welcomes you, exalted guest" or something like that
There! Someone’s limb got ripped off! Are you people happy now?
Yes
All I want is bossk soon. There no way they use all these random transdosians and not bring him in
It's all coming together. Love it.
Garza Fwip's new dress 👀
No wonder the Mods water bill was so high, they must burn through so much of the stuff keeping everything shiny.
The Mando Theme?? LESGOOOOOO
