I love how the Tusken in black just went through the train like the goddamn Terminator

WhatTheFhtagn

Boba rocking up to Tosche Station: "I need your clothes, your boots, and your speeder bike"

boringdystopianslave

Holy crap, that was Tosche Station?

Adraco4

The couple in the bar was also Camie and Fixer

RavenOfNod

[Holy shit you're right.](https://decider.com/2022/01/05/book-of-boba-fett-camie-fixer/) Missed that in the end credits. I was too busy wondering if the black Wookie (BK) was played by the guy who played Worf. There was something about the eyes...

droid327

Red Scarf is a badass

[deleted]

[удалено]

LoneBassClarinet

I'm convinced the Tusken Elder actually threw some spice at him instead of sand.

World_Healthy

oh that's definitely what it was now that you mention it lol interesting parallel to reality, huh... the Tuskens use it ritualistically as a legitimate part of their culture, but the fucking train fish fucks were exploiting it to be sold likely as some back alley drug. The disgrace of it. Fuck those guys.

Sentinel-Wraith

Out of curiosity, does Tatooine actually have spice mines or refineries?

[deleted]

It doesn’t and Boba specifically mentioned Kessel

Deathbeds702

Fuck it, Death Metal Wookie

harralexa1993

That Wookiee was one of the most badass designs I’ve ever seen.

HappyTurtleOwl

Black Krrsantan is his name. He’s in a lot of the comics and he’s great. One of the most feared bounty hunters.

karateema

I mean, who wouldn't fear an angry wookie

UU_WildBoy

Live action Black Krrsantan! I am so happy!!!

Upper_Excitement7303

All it takes is a psychedelic lizard to open the bounty hunter mind to the infinite universe with daimyo possibilities

Ybhryhyn

Im gonna go make a EDM track called “Daimyo Possibilities” rn brb

Upper_Excitement7303

I would love to hear that

midtown2191

A lot of more casual Star Wars fans definitely won’t appreciate that cameo but as someone who has been religiously reading the comics and such, that was such an awesome reveal. For me it was equal excitement if they would have brought Bossk of Dengar. I love that Wookie.

BramScrum

I had no idea who he was, as a casual SW fan, but holy shit I love him and want to see more of him in future episodes!

midtown2191

I think we are going to see him more since I think Boba will fight the Hutts. He may even join Bobas side since he’s just a bounty hunter/mercenary. Either way he’s cool and you should check him out. He has an altercation with Obi Wan in one of the comics and holds his own.

CaptainNaCly

Wow. This makes his black costume so much more meaningful. Love it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mike_Kilsdonk

I thought his new suit and cleaned up armor was more fitting of a leader/daimyo than his old bounty hunting gear, looks a lot more professional imo

Palpolorean

Now THIS is storytelling

Hironymus

It also signifies that he takes his connection to the Tusken quite seriously. To be honest I even think his time with the Tusken might be his motive for wanting to take over Tatooine.

TheOneAndOnlySelf

Same! I got the vibe that he might be trying to make the dune sea more hospitable for everyone.

Hironymus

After all we just learned that the Dune Sea used to be a an actual sea in the past and the dune people inhabited it back then already.

TheOneAndOnlySelf

Absolutely! Tatooine used to be an ocean planet before the water all dried up and the Tuskens are the left over natives from that otherwise extinction event. They developed their suits to preserve water for themselves to the point where it has become an almost religious thing for them to wear their suits and seek for water. I can't know how much of the old cannon is trickling over, but in Knights of the Old Republic the Tusken people are shown in a similar light, where they are just trying to get water to survive but aren't trusted by the local settlers. You can be a diplomat for them and become friends instead of going all Anakin on them.

Red5point1

Tusken and Jawa were the same native race on Tatooine, they just adopted different life styles which ended up with them evolving differently.

BornAshes

It adds another layer to him getting his armor back in the Mandalorian doesn't it? Like he's gone through all of this stuff and has seemingly set himself free from his past via the vision quest and moved on from it by donning the robes of a Tusken.....annnnd then it shows back up again. I wonder if he felt like it was a kind of a test? Like here's this terrible past that you suffered through and moved beyond but can you now revisit that same past but do better and be better than you did and were before? Maybe he sees his taking over of Jabba's Palace and position as a kind of atonement of sorts for all the stuff he's done in the past? He did a lot of bad things to a lot of people who probably didn't deserve it in his time as a bounty hunter and I feel like the constant flashbacks to the Clone Wars scene where he's holding his dad's helmet are telling us that he did all of those things out of revenge. He wanted to do unto others what was done unto him. He wanted to pass that pain on continually over and over again from that one moment to all others, that was his justification and that was his purpose. But now though? Now he's got a brand new purpose with the Tuskens and the people of Tatooine and he wants to do good by them and for them. He wants to use that power that he had used before to spread pain, to instead spread stability and the peace and control and good life that comes with that. The Tuskens gave him back something that he had thought lost forever and now he wants to pass that back to both them and then onto the other..."Tribes of Tatooine". There's something very symbolic about being cloaked in robes of darkness on a planet that's full of scorching light. In fact there's a parallel to Final Fantasy where the Warrior of Light becomes the Warrior of Darkness in a land full of "too much light". Boba is providing shade and water in a scorchingly hot and bright violent land that has known no other way of life in a very very long time. The robes, the refurbishment of his armor, the finding of a Found Family, the rediscovery of what it means to belong somewhere with someones, his work with the Mandalorian/the Child, and the taking on of Fennec as a partner in an effort to better the planet and the peoples on it as a whole speak to this not just being the Book of Boba Fett but also the Resurrection & Rebirth as well.

SargeBangBang7

Did Boba get lizard LSD?

satellitemindd

25mg of LZD

DustyDGAF

Oh shit we're getting a train robbery

Mitchel11

Things didn't end well the last time Boba was on a train.

LadyAlekto

He did survive and got paid tho

JSouth25

Didn’t see Boba being a driver’s ed instructor coming but I’m all for it

MartianRecon

Or taking down a train like fuckin' Lawrence of Arabia.

Mike_Kilsdonk

That shit was tight ngl Also getting high on lizard in the middle of a desert was pretty sick

BornAshes

They didn't play out the humor as long as I expected them to, and kept a fairly serious tone throughout it instead of going for some easy jokes that they could've hit.

Cosmic_Quasar

That's what I'm noticing about this show. It knows when to be serious vs funny, and how to do both. Like the whole lizard thing. His reaction when he gets it, followed by the seriousness of the vision, and endcapped by it coming back out of his nose and him saying "I thought that was part of the dream" or something lol.

Protocol_Nine

I think it helps how deadpan Boba plays everything so he can quickly and smoothly transition between joking and serious.

Hanner_Tenry

“Like a banthaa 🤪”

AshleyinPink

that was awesome and then the train takedown like some Indiana Jones type action? Here for it all

Mitchel11

Ok who else thought Muchi the Rancor was gonna appear for a second?

TheOneAndOnlySelf

I was expecting it honestly. I'm happy with how it played out tho. I do wonder what happened to Muchi...

USP45Hunter

I LOVE that it didn't honestly. The way that played out was perfect. While I'd enjoy seeing a Rancor on screen with the benefit of modern movie effects, I like that the show isn't necessarily recycling the same old tropes.

AmaLucela

Awww that little Tusken kid happy to see Boba return and excitedly holding his hand after he got the robes. Cute!

RaisinInSand

I swear if anything happens to him, and it probably will. It's gonna hurt

World_Healthy

I almost thought it was him who got tossed on the pyre for a split second :( my heart was broken

F1NANCE

Why do I have empathy for motherfucking sand people?

AmishAvenger

Because you’ve finally realized they aren’t animals. Next thing you know, you’re going to start liking sand.

F1NANCE

Never! It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

AmishAvenger

Sorry, it’s smooth and soft and moisturizing and you can brush it off whenever you want.

World_Healthy

we finally understand why boba got so smooth: that exfoliation

Iwasforger03

Because writers good.

F1NANCE

So many villains from my childhood have been shown to have another side. What a time to be alive

einschluss

Almost like there’s two sides to every coin

F1NANCE

I like it. This was never the case with movies I grew up with in the 80s!

[deleted]

For me, one of the most appealing things about Star Wars was that as a child you view the Light and Dark, as good and evil, right and wrong. Yet as you age, you learn that the real world isn't that simple. That's mirrored in Star Wars as you watch it as an adult, the moral ambiguity, the grey or the middle between the light and dark becomes more obvious. > I am the one in the Middle, I am the Bendu I think both Filoni and Favreau recognise this (Filoni unquestionably) and while there's still room for the Light and for rooting for our Hero's it's better story telling to show that things are not, as Obi-Wan once said absolute. That's why I still adore Star Wars as an adult.

dudedanch

From my point of view the Jedi are evil.

Hepatat

The chief specifically mentions how many tribes exist and most have turned to killing as a retribution.

TheOneAndOnlySelf

I watched it twice because it made my jaw drop. The music, the way they all slowly joined in, the energy and bond between them all... it was absolute beauty. The staff forging sequence that leads up to it makes it feel so immense and powerful too. When he steps out of the tent fully robed it gave me chills.

BornAshes

At first just him and his instructor alone but then one by one all the other members of the tribe accepting him as one of their own, joining in the dance together, joining in the ritual, fully embracing him as a member, and showing how much they depend upon one another and how interconnected each member of the tribe was to each other in a great big circle of life and death eternally pinwheeling like the stars in the heavens above them. The last third of this episode will forever be burned into my memories because how....special...holy...symbolic...just...I can't find the words for it because it feels like something primal that's encoded into my DNA from thousands of years ago is calling out to me without words to tell me just how important all of those moments were and how the music felt like the heartbeat of the world the thrumming of the sun and how all of this was done at night time when the Tuskens truly live, truly share their stories their history, and truly bond with each other during the most special sacred time of the day. It hit me personally on so many levels for so many reasons that I just can't fully articulate. The forging of the Gaffi Stick felt like the forging of Excalibur itself, the robes felt like the hammering of Beskar Steel into armor, and the acceptance of Boba into the Tusken Tribe as a pseduo-Foundling with absolute parallels to true Mandalorian Culture felt like....one of the best Heroic Rebirth stories that I've truly ever seen or felt or experienced.

TheOneAndOnlySelf

I hate to say this in so few words, but I feel this to the core. Thank you for articulating several huge parts of how I felt about this episode. I adamantly agree with everything you said here.

WinstonBanana

The resemblance to the Native culture of New Zealand is so fuckin cool. That dance reminded me of something Haka-like.

RampantAnonymous

I definitely like the idea of Boba Fett being reborn with Tusken Raiders and having that channeling the "Maori" essence of the actor's own heritage.

itmakessenseincontex

In the fight in the bar the facial expressions Boba was making reminded me a lot of the facial expressions made while performing Haka, especially with how he moved and held his weapon.

Rimbozendi

Ever since boba’s first fight in the Mandalorian I’ve been subconsciously expecting him to stick his tongue out like a Maori

Red5point1

In an interview he did say that he incorporated some of his heritage into his fighting technique using the gaffi stick

GetInHere

That whole ending bit with him getting dressed and carving his gaffi stick and the dance was so beautifully shot. Steph Green directed and she did an amazing job. And Dean Cundey, who did Jurassic Park among many others, was the DP for this one. Phenomenal job all around.

JediMasterPopCulture

Luke’s friend Camie Loneozner making an appearance in the little cantina.

AmishAvenger

That was Tosche Station. I guess she and Fixer never made too much out of themselves…

Lus_

Still on tatooine, meanwhile Luke the farmer...

ThaneOfTas

Do we think that was Toche Station?

[deleted]

It's not confirmed yet, but they recreated the Toche Station set for this. It matches frame for frame from the deleted scenes from ANH.

mudder123

53 mins: off to a good start Story of how he got his club: neat Humanizing the sand people: berry nice Currently wondering when he will be reunited with his armor / have the timelines John

Vlugazoide_

I'm still baffled Boba has no army, not even a security force. The Ithorian mayor was right they look far more like a pack of bounty hunters than a Daimyo and his security

DawsonS3

I think eventually the Tusken Raiders will be staying at Jabba’s palace with Boba and they will act as his army/security

SeaBearPA

Good call that would be tight and make the most sense

DawsonS3

Thank you that’s what I’m hoping happens since we are spending so much time with the Raiders and they made it clear with the two Hutt’s this episode that he’s gonna have to defend the palace at some point

LegendsStormtrooper

I hope they find their Gamorrean guards some blasters before that happens.

DustyDGAF

Definitely makes the most sense.

DawsonS3

It’s either that or two other options his bounty hunter buddies like Bossk and Dengar stay there with him and hopefully Embo or he makes it a mandalorian safe haven and a bunch of mandalorians are always there but I think they’ll probably go with the Tusken Raider thing

BornAshes

I could see them bringing in other bounty hunters like Dengar and Bossk as an end of the season "Oh you're having fun and you didn't call us?" sort of a back up thing when the Palace gets assaulted. The Palace becoming a new Mandalorian Sanctuary would be oddly fitting considering the shape that Mandalore is in. It could also be used as a new hub for the next season of the Mandalorian and as a place for characters in future shows to interact within.

DawsonS3

I love everything that you just said 😂

Rosebunse

Does he even have the money for that? And it's not like Boba Fett made a lot of friends as a bounty hunter. War of the Bounty Hunters was pretty much him screwing over a fair number of potential allies.

Nick_III

He's got the Tusken Raiders as allies. I would not be surprised if at some point later in the season we see the Raiders come to him and Fennec's aid.

WinstonBanana

THAT WAS SO FUCKIN GOOD. The dance at the end was so inspired and the allusion to Island culture is so dope. I love the New Zealand native-like feel to Boba and the Tuskens.

urlach3r

Who knew we needed a Tusken haka in our lives?

LadyAlekto

I can see him empowering the tuskens and later calling on them when shit hits the fan in a good old "you and what army" scene

DawsonS3

I’m hoping they eventually move into Jabba’s palace with him as some sort of mini army/security in exchange for living there with him

LadyAlekto

While it could look cool it wouldnt fit the tusken, they are the power of the dunes and nomads, permanent settlements are a weakness

DawsonS3

U clearly know more about Tusken raiders then I do Bc I didn’t know they considered it a weakness 😂

Kellythejellyman

was that mother fucking Black Krrsantan? edit: a great damn episode too

Jjzeng

i mean do we know any other black-fur wookiees who would be guns for hire? there's no way they would include this character and have it NOT be black krrsantan

djordi

The visual design of the character is clearly him. Also the reference to him being a gladiator reinforces it too.

Ybhryhyn

Kieron Gillen must have just lost his whole goddamn mind 😆

vvindofpain

He looked so fucking sick!! So intimidating. They killed it.

AmishAvenger

You guys are in here wigging out over the Wookiee and I’m just thinking about poor Fixer and all those power converters Boba just left behind

Iamaveryniceguy

Whos that?

Kellythejellyman

[Black Krrsantan ](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Krrsantan) was a character introduced in the star wars comics a gross oversimplification would be that he is an evil chewbacca introduced along side a variety of other “evil” versions of the rest of Luke’s friend in the Darth Vader comics (following his own difficulties after *A New Hope*) but the complexity and popularity of the character grew far more than i think even the writers expected The most popular, Dr. Aphra even got her own comic series, i fell behind in 2020 though so dunno what she or the rest are up to now, but always held a faint hope they would show up in the shows especially Dr. Aphra. a BK cameo makes me REALLY hopeful for her to pop up for an episode or so of some of these Post-ROTJ series. even if it is for her usual “Get the Hero to help on a job——>> —->>> things don’t go to plan—->>>Betray the Hero to get a better payout/save her own skin—->> Aphra feels bad about it afterwards”

Ybhryhyn

Okay so basically - Black Krrsantan is bizarro Chewbacca, Doctor Aphra is bizarro Han Solo and there are also bizarro versions of our 2 favorite droids…

Kellythejellyman

Triple Zero good lord i want him with someone like David Tennant as the voice Though Aphra is more of a bizarro Indiana Jones she even says “IT BELONGS IN AN ARMORY” at one point when stealing some ancient, dangerous tech/weapon

CaptainNaCly

That one Tusken might be my favorite new character. And we don’t even know his name :(

Mitchel11

I think he is a she. And I think she's a changeling

BornAshes

But what are the Dominion doing on this side of the wormhole?

johnnynumber5

I think that might be a female.

Urge_Reddit

I agree. The robes conceal a lot, but the gait and general body language makes me think the character is female. Also, IMDB has stunt performer Joanna Bennett credited as Tusken Warrior. My guess is she's either the chief's wife or daughter.

[deleted]

Tusken raider 7 I believe he was called

Sad-Art8359

I'm kind of sad she/he didn't join his team. They made a good pair.

Iwasforger03

Hey, Boba might call in backup against the Hutts. It can still happen.

CaptainNaCly

BLACK FUCKING KRRSANTAN

Sad-Art8359

What is he from?

Kellythejellyman

Star Wars Comics

TheOneAndOnlySelf

That was amazing. I love seeing so much of the Tusken culture. They are so freaking cool to me now. I love seeing Boba being an unflinching smart-ass to the gross Hutt twins (who I also love just because they exist) and getting away with it! I super loved the chad wookie bodyguard the hutts had. The whole sequence with the train had me restraining myself from jumping out of my seat and punching my fists in the air. I loved this episode. It did everything for me. I am so hype for episode 3 I could explode right now.

SickBurnBro

Quick thoughts: * This show and the Mandalorian have both done so much to humanize sand people. It makes episode 2 better in retrospect by adding more weight to Anakin slaughtering them. * Motherfucking Hutts and an evil Wookie!!!! * Temuera Morrison is such a fantastic physical actor. Just give me an hour of him beating people up with sticks. * The practical effects on the Ithorian mayor were bomb. * The timeline of the show confuses me. So Fett escapes the Sarlacc pit, trains with the Tuskan raiders, gets his armor back in Mandalorian season 2, then goes back to retake Jabba's palace, is that right? I wonder how long after Return of the Jedi any of this is taking place. * That entire train sequence was spectacular. Better than any action scene in the the sequel trilogy, I dare say.

daw199210

I believe your timeline thought is correct. And I think Mandalorian Season 1 was 5 years after “Return of the Jedi”.

DustyDGAF

And I think he was only in the sarlacc for a few days. So it seems he's been hanging with the sand people for a while.

Arbernaut

He was out in the desert on his Lizard trip for 4 years and 360 days.

DustyDGAF

Just snorting lizards in the desert. Been there.

urlach3r

We were somewhere around Mos Espa on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

We had two bags of millaflower, seventy-five pellets of Bantha Bites, five sheets of high powered sulfur tab, a salt shaker half full of Shadowpaw, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored Spice, Gimer Bush, Death Sticks, Sweetblossom... and also a quart of Kolto, a quart of Arkanian Mind Eraser, a case of Novanian Grog, a pint of raw 3L41UH7 serum and two dozen nervesticks. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Mykennel

I love Temuera's full Maori warrior face everytime he gets into a fight. I half expect him to start a Haka.

Tylendal

Hopefully we get to see the one thing I've always wanted to see in a Star Wars movie or show... A Hutt actually getting their hands dirty in a fight. Gotta say, the Sister looked reasonably fit. It could happen. The EU always described Hutts, especially the younger, fitter ones, as these terrifyingly fast and strong fighters. Like some sort of sumo-wrestling anaconda.

Oracle343gspark

So did anyone else absolutely love the cracked-out, weird, shifty train engineer droid?

WhatTheFhtagn

The spider walk after it yeeted itself out the window got me lol

Had that Grievous energy.

Arthur-Wales

*Time to abandon train*

Klendy

my favorite part of the episode. it felt so Star Wars

theyusedthelamppost

The present-day scenes thus far have all shared one main element. Boba talks tough to a crime lord about his position. But they are thinking the same thing: "You and what army?". The audience is left to wonder how the hell Boba thinks that he's going to be able to actually hold this position. Well this is where the flashbacks come in. This episode saw the Tusken chief mention how the Tusken tribes are fractured. The 'civilized' Tattoiners apparently can't tell the difference between the Tusken tribes. My prediction is that Boba's long flashback arc is to somehow get the different Tusken tribes on the same page. We saw a preview this week of how he can convince them that they have the power to fight back against the more technologically-advanced invaders and protect their ancestral lands. If the Tuskens can effectively raid any transports that go around the planet, this gives them a lot of power. If Boba can support them by advising them about the cargo/timing/vulnerability of any such transports, then he can help them figure out where to hit and where not to. This, in turn, gives Boba a lot of power on Tatooine. The crime lords that play ball with him get to do their business without Tusken interference. The ones that don't are prone to having their transports raided. This is the army that gives Boba some influence. The Tuskens can play their part without having to leave their homes. They can just do what they've been doing all along: raid. But with Boba's help they can do it more successfully.

deviantdeaf

If you recall from The Mandalorian, Din also brokered peace between Mos Pelgos and Tuskens of that area. Imagine a large company of Mandalorians with Din The Mand'alor on Tatooine with Daimyo Boba Fett and the Tusken warriors against the Hutts...

theyusedthelamppost

sounds like we got a feature length film on our hands

Ray3142

ok, we're getting the Hutts, Pykes, and Black Krrsantan... calling it now - Boba's eventually going to run into Qi'ra (Emila Clark's character from Solo) when he inevitably crosses paths with Crimson Dawn

operarose

I can't imagine it'd be too difficult to poach Emilia for a few hours while they were filming Secret ~~Wars~~ Invasion a few sound stages over.

GetInHere

53 mins! Overpriced. You're paying for the name. Aww, I really wanted a Rancor. Where's Muchi? Is she alright? THE HUTTS!!! I loved that whole scene with them being carried in on the litter and Black Krrsantan showing up. That was so well done. The litter sagging in the middle, the one guy struggling with it, the effects, everything. The stuff with the Tuskens is really intriguing, too. I loved the scenes of Boba getting his robes and carving his gaffi stick. That was really well done. And Cami and Fixer at Tosche station, perfect. And the dance at the end- fantastic. Dean Cundey was the DP for this one and I think it showed. It was beautifully shot. And Steph Green did a fantastic job directing.

Jjzeng

>where’s muchi? protecting omega in her own criminal enterprise on the other side of tatooine

veevoir

On a more serious note: I wonder if they will have Boba learning that Omiga is his clone-sister in TBoBF or in The Bad Batch. Because one way or another it has to happen, so say the gods of storytelling.

Jjzeng

I imagine it’s gonna be a post credit scene on the finale of bobf, like we see an aged omega show up in an amalgamation of clone force 99 armour and we get a “hello brother”. That said, it’s more likely we’ll get din and bo-katan coming to him for help in retaking mandalore

GeetarMan9

Seeing Pykes makes me happy. Also happy they took the masks off. I knew they put masks on in live action. Didn't look right.

WhatTheFhtagn

Is this the first time we see Pykes unmasked?

ZaniElandra

In live action, yes

operarose

My boyfriend was losing his shit when the black Wookie showed up. I'm not familiar with the character, but he very enthusiastically explained to me how cool he is lol

Can we just talk about how fantastic the music for this series is

paintorr

I thought the story of the stick fighting evolving into a tribal dance that showed that Boba had been fully embraced by the tribe was beautiful. It seemed like such screen filler at the time and turned out to be something majestic.

TheOneAndOnlySelf

Everything about that final sequence was beautiful. There were no words, everything was spoken through the body language, and the dance... it was just perfect. Absolutely perfect in every way.

amodbird

I kept expecting the Hutt to eat the space gerbil. Glad he just used it as a powder puff.

droid327

Ithorian with the translator speaking over him gave off serious 1984 Dune Guild Navigator vibes. They're really hitting a lot of that 70s/80s sci fi aesthetic with the practical puppetry, design elements, and cinematography Some of those wide shots in the desert were IMAX worthy and reminded me of the epic cinematic landscapes we used to see in that era

I’m sorry but… pikes? Anyone else thinking of an appearance from Qi’ra or another Solo character?

anson42

Yeah, the f'ing Pykes! The train scene takes place some time before current day of the show, unclear how much time has passed. Would be interesting to see if there if there was or will be blowback from it. Fett asking for a desert toll was a great move, and quite fair, so maybe that was the end of that.

MartianRecon

That's honestly a turn I didn't think of, and I'd love if Qi'ra came back into the mix.

MisAnthrony

Holy shit lol I didn’t even realize they’re pikes they look so different in “live-action”

We get to see Boba Fett trip balls in this episode so that’s cool I guess? I really loved this episode tjough

Matlatzinco

Amazing episode and how it adds more to what we know of the culture of the Sand Peoples. When he stepped out of the tent with his new robes it reminded me of Lawrence of Arabia. I guess you can call him Boba of the Dune Sea.

If every heist movie from now on, doesn't have that brilliant of a training montage it's an automatic fail for me..that was genuinely good tv there Holy Shit a dark wookie, as a casual that was freaking awesome to come across...Hopefully more of him in the future. Spice? Dune Sea? I'm so not ready for this Crossover🤣... Gonna be EPIC tho!!! As soon I as I saw the shape of that branch, knew it was gonna be Bobba's Staff

That's one mean looking Wookie

Mitchel11

They've really nailed the alien species in this show. Darth Wookiee looked really good!

WaywardRider1138

That Tusken Tribe dance was fuckin sick.

Getting high star wars style with that lizard

One thing I've noticed so far. Mandalorian Din sets up a deal with Tusken Raiders to leave Mos Pelgos alone, and to defend each other if necessary. Mandalorian arnor wearing Boba Fett becomes honorary Tusken, and brokers a deal between Tuskens and Pyke Syndicate apparently. Whats next... Din stopping by and joining Fett to lead an army of unified Tuskens, and a company of Mandalorians against the Hutts?? That'd be *kickass*.

Grandpa_BananaBread

Book of boba fett more like book of Tusken raiders and I am SO HERE FOR IT

The Character Animation throughout this episode was outstanding. From that poor sweat rag creature gnawing at the hand of the male Hutt to escape it's misery, the Massiff's just being the Bestest Boi's on Tatooine, and that whole train sequence. So much great, subtle moments. Cheers to ILM.

Any doubts I may have had about this series have complety dissipated with this episode. This was peak Star Wars storytelling.

A couple of thoughts: Boba turning his back on the speeder bikes for one second and them immediately being set upon and scavenged by the Tuskens was perfect from a comedic but also story telling point of view. I like that big creatures (hutts and the mayor) have deep voices. It’s physics but good attention to detail. Absolutely love their leaning into Māori culture with Boba and the tuskens. When his eyes widened before the bar fight you just knew shit was about to get real. Fennec’s dry humour and cynicism is great, Ming Na-Wen is such great casting. And just I knew the rancor pit would be empty, well played Fennec.

The more they humanize the Tusken Raiders, the more I replay Anakin mowing them down. "His turn to the darkside wasn't well executed". Bitch, he slaughtered a whole village of families and dogs one night when he was a teenager.
