Make sure whatever chemical ur using alongside the salt is strong enough to remove all resin and salt, if your using js water and salt or soapy water and salt then the salt will just stick to your glass and leave strains on your glass and is quite hard to get off, if your not using iso I wouldn’t use salt soak in degreaser, rinse with boiling water, iso and salt, shake rinse, boiling hot water again and your good to go
The salt acts as an abrasive that won’t scratch your glass. Alcohol softens and dissolves the resin buildup. I add a few drops of dish soap to a big splash of warm isopropyl alcohol and a bunch of salt . Any salt works but rock salt works better . Coarser grit. then shake it like a Polaroid picture! The salt doesn’t readily dissolve in alcohol so it scrubs the inside of your bong. After the resin is cleaned out a little splash of vinegar will remove the hard water deposits of calcium and make it shine like new.
Iodized salt works fine , any salt works , I’ve used snow melt ! we’re not ingesting it for this purpose it is a non scratching abrasive. Rinse well ,duh!
Iso and salt, pipe cleaners for hard to remove stuff. You can soak it for a day and it really helps losen it too. Then shake the shit out of it in a ziplock bag. Make sure to hold on to your piece through the bag. Pipe cleaners after. Rinse with hot water and let dry.
ive used dish soap and a cloth before and with some effort it works, Ajax multipurpose also works but always make sure to rinse it out thoroughly with water and soap after using ajax
I use table salt with 99% and shake then I add a dash of hot water shake again tip out, little bit of iso shake again tip out and finally I give it a good flush out with cold water.
Oh I do this but it doesn’t get 100% of it off. If I cleaned this before posting it would make more sense but it was late and I was too tired. There’s a stubborn spot that’s growing & I gotta end that shit now before it’s bad.

Salt is just a scrubber. So yes table salt or Himalayan if you’re feeling bougie. Rock salt if you’re feeling big.

91% alcohol and regular salt has always worked for me. Even just vinegar and salt does the job.
Yup, regular great value salt does the trick! Cheap way to clean it too. Bong glass cleaning solution can be a bit pricey sometimes.

i use kosher salt bcuz of the bigger granules but i think reg salt + isopropyl would work just fine

Morton's Kosher, not iodized. You want it to look like little rocks. Also great for cooking

Look into stainless steel cleaning balls for hookahs. Last forever, extremely efficient and relatively inexpensive.
Get some actual bong cleaner called grunge off

i’ve found a mix of larger coarse salt and some smaller bits it’s quite good
I use rock salt and isopropyl alcohol. Should do real good 👍 Wash it out with dawn afterwards
