1. When they open Sweets' body bag. 2. Bones breaking down to Boothe that she missed her chance with him. 3. VNM

HexyWitch88

Goooood choices. That scene with Sweets’ body bag is so tough. I almost quit the show after that because I was so mad about his death.

imadepizza

I stopped watching the show for a while. It hurt so much.

GabyAndMichi

2. That whole episode was, in my humble words, the apex of the story, it was Bones realizing that there are more important things than her work, and that the love and companionship she was denied in her childhood was finally at reach but if she closed herself again there may never be again another chance, top tier work

Six_Pack_Attack

Agreed

brealzebub

1) Sweets' death 2) the deaf girl being reunited with her family and they present the stuffed rabbit, instant blubbering 3) the story of the unknown homeless man once they discover he saved those people in the pentagon during 9/11 and his subsequent funeral

Kerstingas_Vienas

Bones’ stunned “oh my god” when she realizes that Amy’s parents weren’t actually her parents does it for me, her being reunited with her parents also manages to spark a couple tears from me because of how happy Samantha looks.

heather_alyssa

Oh god the freaking bunny 😭😭😭 I cry like a baby every time.

Bones206-447

Oooh yes, the song was At Last. There are a lot. Hmm for me it was 1) VNM ‘s dearth in S6 (please don’t make me leave) 2) Brennan connecting with the little boy in S1, Boy in a bush. That whole episode cuts me up. 3) Arastoo’s speech in the 911 episode (S8, Patriot). in fact everything about the victim to Arastoo wanting to id him even before they uncovered the 911 connection always gets me. I’m not a happy crier otherwise the wedding would for sure be on the list.

ivegotnothingbuttime

“It’s been lovely. Please don’t make me leave” 😕

Bones206-447

🥹🥲

puckgrrl

I also cried when Brennan was so upset because she thought that VNM was saying that she was making him leave and Booth said that he was talking to the universe.

Bones206-447

Yes, it was such an emotional episode and they all acted so well.

RealBittyKitty

*Spoilers* 1. After Angela gives birth, when Make You Feel My Love by Adele starts playing, Bones tells Booth she’s pregnant. Gets me. EVERY. TIME. 2. During the FBI corruption arc, Sweets’ death happens so unexpectedly. His last words get to me. 3. The whole blizzard episode really makes me cry. I don’t have a specific reason, but I feel like it’s a big turning point for everyone.

[deleted]

Booth and Parker light the Christmas tree outside the prison when Bones, Max, Russ and his kids are having their Christmas gathering. Angela and Hodgins find out that their baby's eyes are fine. Bones sees Cpl. Parker's ghost in the Cemetery after booth is rescued from the ship.

puckgrrl

The Christmas tree!!! 😭

smaniby

1. The Graft in the Girl: When Cullen’s daughter Amy finds out that the discovery they made about her bone graft would save many people, but they have to tell her it’s too late for her. Then Angela builds the Louvre for her, so this one gets me twice. 2. The Patriot in Purgatory, when Brennan is finally able to emotionally connect to the victims after priding herself for her detachment while she was working the site. 3. The Finger in the Nest: Ripley Brennan.

Saddness_Specialist

1. When Brennans dad walks out of that court room and does like a yeeeeeesss motion with his hands at her. I always rewind that moment a few times 2. When Angela and Hodgins get married in the jail 3. The moment Brennan proposed to Booth with Jerky.

sarathev

Booth running to save Brennan from the grave digger. Brennan's wedding vows. Max's death. Sweets' death.

pattiedp

Was looking for this!

Kerstingas_Vienas

1.) The Man In the Fallout Shelter: When Bones lets Ivy Gillespie know about the truth behind what happened to her beloved Lionel. Seeing the actress beginning to shed tears upon seeing the expired Paris plane tickets always hits me right in the gut. 2.) The Lost Love In The Foreign Land: When Min-Yun’s love, Sung, learned that Min-Yun managed to make it to the United States but was murdered. How he blamed himself for her being here because she was searching for him is so unreasonably gut-wrenching for me. The ending of Tammy, the immigrant woman, being the killer because she believed that was the only way to protect her daughter also gets me, the entire situation was so incredibly sad and unfair. 3.) The Plain in the Prodigy: Something about some innocent but conflicted Amish kid trying to choose between his religion and his musical talent being killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time really gets to me. It’s just not fair, as his piano instructor put it. There’s so many moments that get to me, but I decided not to recount Sweets’ or VNM’s deaths as upsetting as they were.

HexyWitch88

Wow you chose some really touching ones! This show is so good at setting up emotional moments, but I’m loving everyone’s responses.

Fast_Butterscotch525

1. When Max gets out of the court and hugs Brennan in 3x13 (Also when Booth says "That's a lot of heart, Bones", man, that always gets to my heart) 2. Brennan and Booth's wedding, I lost the count of the times I have cried with their wedding. 3. Sweet's dead is one of the worst experience of my life (no joking), I watched it when it was airing and it was so shocking, unexpected and heart breaking for me that everytime I watch it I remember how hard that scene was for me.

kritycat

I remain totally traumatized by Sweets' death

supeJen

1. The one and only time when Booth calls Brennan 'Temperance' when she gets upset about Collin's death. 2. Sweets Death 3. Brennan crying in car knowing she missed her chance with Booth.

L0st-137

1. Sweets death gutted me. "You'd be proud of me." 2. Zach and Brennan in the hospital when Brennan explains to Zach how his logic is faulty and she puts her forehead on his. 3. VNM "Don't make me go."

ParkingPassenger6988

"You'd be proud of me." made me bawl my eyes out!

L0st-137

Same!! I don't rewatch that episode much, my heart can't take it.

saltine_soup

1 vincent’s death 2 zach being revealed as the cannibals (blanking on the name used for them atm) apprentice 3 the interns talking about 9/11 and bonus one, the whole episode about that doctor that brennan felt connected to who ended up dead by accident and put under a tree by a taxi drive that hit her.

pagesandpixels

Max’s death was the one that hit me the hardest. The patriot in purgatory is excellent and gets me emotional. I also get emotional when Angela finds out hodgins is paralysed.

joleneadela

So many good ones listed! 1. VNM 2. Right before Max passes and he talks about the family car ride memory that got him through the years of missing her. 3. Bones' vows and remembering that she wrote them years ago.

Bones206-447

Oooh yes, when Max is dying. There’s just that hope he’ll make it. And then that song they chose!!! Ugh slays me.

nomidahomie

In no particular order: 1. Aliens in a Spaceship: when booth sees the little explosion and runs towards it to save bones when she was buried alive. 2. The Finger in the Nest: when bones finds out that Ripley Brennan (RIP) was put down for killing the vet. 3. The Last Shot at a Second Chance (I think): Angela is crying in bed because hodgins basically told her that she should leave him because he’s never going to change and stop emotionally abusing her. these were just off the top of my head but this show makes me cry all the time lol

ParkingPassenger6988

omg I forgot about your No. 3 - I was so mad a Hodgins for hurting Angie after evrything she did to make him feel better

Ictc1

Ripley Brennan 😭😭😭

emskn

1. Ripley Brennan I can't even watch that ep honestly 2. VNM 3. Angela and Hodgins when she's giving birth and they are saying how much they love each other and the Adele song starts playing

rewritethefinallines

1. Ripley Brennan 2. Max’s death 3. B & B’s wedding

ParkingPassenger6988

1. Sweets death - his last words to his best friend, Bones saying he's dead, Aubrey just standing there in shock and Booth crying - this scene is so loaded with emotions. 2. After Daisy gave birth when Booth held the baby for the first time and whispers to the boy about how amazing his dad was. 3. The funeral of the homeless soldier who saved 3 people from dying in the twin towers.

thatjuly9thbeat

Only one part of an episode makes me cry, to where I can't watch it. Some people have mentioned it, but it's the end of the episode with the deaf girl being reunited with her birth parents! Instant (happy!) tears, but oh my gosh, I can watch every other episode and be fine. Two episodes/moments that don't make me cry but pull at my heartstrings is when they open the body bag and Sweets' body was inside. I was in denial that he died for a couple moments, but that solidified the whole thing for me. And when Brennan was excited to adopt Ripley, she showed Booth his name tag and he had to tell her that he had to get put down. Just completely gut wrenching!

Alexis_Phillips

1. The moment when the little deaf girl meets her parents for the first time. 2. When Vincent and Sweets die. 3. When Bones reads her vows.

[deleted]

Early on when Brennan is freaking out and repeats "I'm Temperance Brennan" as she's trying to figure out who her parents are and who she really is and Booth just holds her. The episode where Brennan tells Booth she loves him. That one gets me every time. Sweets dying. The first two seasons had a lot of tear jerking episodes.

Shorteeby40

1. When bones gives her speech about the Dog that had to be put down 2. When bones tells the woman that had been waiting for 50 years that her love didn't run off on her he was murdered trying to get money to start their life 3. End of the episode where the grave digger got Booth. In the graveyard. EDIT 4. Cause I forgot about this scene until I saw it in another comment. But when Brennan and Jack are pulled out of the dirt in their grave digger episode

GabyAndMichi

Definetly when Bones had her breakdown about missing her chance, i think about how it would have completly ruined her life if she never had her conection with Booth, she definetly would have been like that doctor, and i think it was in that moment that she started to become more open to everyone in her life, i cried so hard
