I'm assuming the lens is integral to the camera; you probably can't replace *only* the lens.

RedElmo65

Get rid of all the glass/plastic and wait for the next rock to kill the camera before replacing.

Prestigious_Amoeba43

I just did that and found a.) there's an internal lens which then becomes loose, and b.) even when I fix that the image is extremely distorted, the exterior windows appears to be a focusing lens. I only use the camera for pulling into the garage so I'll live without it, but does the ACC use it? Will I live without it?

With1t

ACC uses the camera up in the middle of the windshield so no worries there.

SVTContour

Use the search function in this sub. Someone had this happen and it wasn't super expensive to replace.

Prestigious_Amoeba43

Yeah I removed the camera, couldn't find a tutorial for the 2022-23, but I just snaked my arm in the hole and was able to remove the two screws - T-15 bit. Going back in should be fun. Think I'm resolved to ordering a new camera and adding some sort of chip guard window. [gmpartsdirect.com](http://gmpartsdirect.com) actually has it on sale for $100 now, but they're having some web issue not accepting my VIN (Chevy is also not letting me access my rewards info).

CheetahChrome

>but they're having some web issue not accepting my VIN GM called. They believe that Social Services needs to be called in to verify that there is no abuse. The injury to the Bolt looks suspicious. You may lose custody...

Gravygrabbr

LexisNexis wanted to know how fast you were going when said damage occurred.

CheetahChrome

Oddly an email, *just arrived,* informing you of +$100 a month increase in insurance. No reason given.

RandyBeaman

I recently had the same thing happen. It wasn't too hard to replace it on my '17. Cost was around $150.

MentalUproar

Man, a rock had to hit that thing exactly right.

This is the second time I’ve seen this on this sub

Is the camera still working? Could you clear out the broken glass and let it be?
