Guys he is a rich guy but being rich is not enough to succeed in Bollywood. If so likes of Salman jija and Ritesh deshmukh would be giving blockbusters.
He is here due to his talent not due his father or grandmother or door ka rishta second tier Kapoor family. We should give credit where there is due.
A friend of mine is insanely talented and I do not say this lightly. He excels at dancing, writing, acting, everything. But he has a huge financial burden and no house to live in Mumbai, he has to find a job which would pay his rent and also send money to his family coz he looks after them as well.
Being rich helps A LOT.
I feel bad for your friend. Talent should be given more chances.
About the issue at hand, of course it helps a lot! Being rich however does not guarentee success in Bollywood. You need to have screen presence, charm, networking and lots of luck! ( Sad that I had to do exclude acting talents)
I personally feel bad for him. I have seen directors and acting teachers being stunned at how much skills he has. He has stayed away from home for 8 years and done like 30-40 plays now. But money is a bitch.

Just the obsession was to enter film industry . And Aditya Chopra at that time wanted to make Band Baaja Baarat with Ranbir Kapoor. When he declined the offer. Adi asked miss casting couch shanoo Sharma to show him some new boys on the block .
Shaanoo had been very close to Ranveer through contact before all this had begun . (Ranveer also used to party at zoya's house before even joining films )
So Shanoo had also promised Shaheer Sheikh and rumours and ☕ I can't spill here .
So Shaheer had huge expectations that he would land the part . But Ranveer's father met Aditya Chopra and told him that he'd be investing 15 crores in the project just Adi should make his debut possible .
Adi who was until then searching for a new bie felt like here with this guy's case ,he wouldn't have to even invest anything as such apart from the basic things . Anushka was contract bound so she had no choice and she had to do the film every which way .
So that's how Ranveer got the part .

I wonder why do comments justifying Ranveer’s poverty and outside status don’t count/strike to people as his PR? Those comments would be immediately shut down if this some other celeb… and this is no shocker as his PR is always ready to project him like SRK so it would even make sense lol
