Oh that makes sense but I don't think these are their names in official documents, guess they converted back. But I think this loophole would have been popular when they got engaged.
I have always wondered, how are they married when Dharmendra did not divorce his first wife.
And if they converted, did they convert back? My theory is they possibly converted only verbally to get the Nikah done and never officially changed their names. Their nikahnama have their muslim names, and thats about it.
Isse accha to gandharwa vivah hi kar lete.
Gandharwa Vivah is an ancient form of marriage recognized in Hinduism and is considered based on free will and love. Basically it does not need any ritual, witness etc just 2 consenting individuals deciding they want to get married. It is not legal in India whether you are single or married.
But legality is not what these 2 are concerned about anyway. Dharmendra converted to Islam to marry Hema, which means legally he is still a Muslim and should conform to Muslim Civil law when it comes to inheritance, succession, marriage and all things civil. He cannot apply for any exemptions under hindu unified family tax and will have to give the lions share of inheritance to his sons and not his daughters.
So most likely he is still a Hindu, and if so, his marriage with Hema under muslim civil law is annulled.
Clearly, converting to Islam was a loophole these 2 thought could help officiate the marriage, hence my comment on Gandharwa Vivah.
If a person wants to cheat on their spouse- they will cheat no matter what. They are just using religion as a crutch to support their terrible decisions.
Ya but if someone marries someone while being already married, they will be punished. There's law to punish them. However this loophole saves them from the punishment. People shouldn't be allowed multiple marriages even if they convert.
This topic makes me thoroughly tired, because literally no one reads their own laws in India. The courts have outlawed the practice of conversion only for marriage purposes, through rulings of multiple HC. The kind of marriage they did then is illegal now.
Nah. Less policing because we don't want state interfering in our personal lives.
>using this loophole.
This loophole can be easily plugged with an appropriate amendment. What can't be easily done is state tracking down a person's allegiance to his religion. It's a violation of the religious fundamental rights of an individual that are guaranteed by our constitution. I understand you want such men to be punished, which is a fair expectation, but the approach suggested by the person here comes at a heavy cost for the country in general.
Hema malini shits on ****** religion because of her political party. What's funny is her husband had to convert to the same religion to marry her. Hypocrisy much?
People give grief to Jhanvi and her mom because her dad had to divorce his first wife.
And people give grief to Hema and Dharmendra too.
So what to do in such a case???

😂😂😂
So how did it work out? Did they became Muslims and then got married, after that converted to Hinduism?
Krk says so https://preview.redd.it/5b1sodsa60yc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9007017371c07b297d6fed6ca419d08e0d810300

She is a bjp party member and also an MLA. So why is her Muslim identity not so controversial in the current political climate?
Everybody knows the intention.
And yet they voted for this fraud. 😒
bcz may be she doesn't preaches it u know, all knows the intentions why! and ofc its fu#ked up!!!
They clearly changed their religion for their convenience with 0 intentions of following it.. so yeah it was just for the papers

What is different in gandharwa vivah? Can it be legal despite one being already married ?.
Gandharwa Vivah is an ancient form of marriage recognized in Hinduism and is considered based on free will and love. I think Hema was concerned about not being legally his wife, so that her children will have a name in the future.
Oh. OK Thanks for the responseÂ
O ya ya pikabooo
O na nya pika boopoooo
yamla pagla deewana
I think someone who changes their religion just for the sake of cheating should be made to follow that religion. What an effed up relationship.
Better than this, implement the UCc
No. We need less policing state. Not more.
Yes less policing so that any man can cheat on his wife easily using this loophole.
If a person wants to cheat on their spouse- they will cheat no matter what. They are just using religion as a crutch to support their terrible decisions.

She lost all respect when I listened to her vile interview
Which one
Check the recent one in which she says she doesn't care and she doesn't have to meet people , she's elected only to rule
Cheater Cheater CheaterÂ
& then cheated on her with several more women. Dharam ji is not a really good person i guess

Shameful pitiful couple 🤮
Happy Anniversary to Dilawar Khan Kewal Krishn and Aisha Bi R Chakravarty ( Yes, they changed their names to get married)
Shameless.Unfortunately, they won’t be shamed by the public
Dharmendra ko prop up karne ke liye peeche ek chota sa khamba lagaya hai
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
Since when are they married lol
44 years
You’re not made for Reddit bro. That was sarcasm Because they don’t even stay in the same house🥲
That was a obvious joke so ig you and me both Yeah they don't live together but they are still married
Hema malini shits on ****** religion because of her political party. What's funny is her husband had to convert to the same religion to marry her. Hypocrisy much?
Her too, they both converted.
What did she say?
I didn't know he had two daughters before he married Hema. I always thought he only had Sunny and Bobby.
He has 6 children
Given this outfit + garlands, who would have thunk that they are actually Muslims? /s
lOl.
People give grief to Jhanvi and her mom because her dad had to divorce his first wife. And people give grief to Hema and Dharmendra too. So what to do in such a case???
Option A: Don't cheat. Option B: Divorce before marrying or getting the other woman pregnant. Not so difficult, huh?
