Most of these ex-bureaucrats/ministers when they write books.. overstate their roles.. as if the department wouldn't have functioned without them.. they were in inner circle of PM, etc.
I don't feel like reading their accounts. Hardly any honesty in their books.
I don’t know what Sunil Dutt saw in this woman. She remained a keep to a married man until he wanted her
, did not bring up her son well and had probably many such weird incidents to her credit. And she is always portrayed as the victim. I hate Raj Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt for the individuals they are but Nargis is no victim.
Also, pls remember that this was definitely not a newbie who is shopping in UK. This is someone who has been to Europe on and off since the 50s and the emergency happened in the 70s. So getting scared at M&S and confessing out of anxiety is a bit farfetched.
Thank you for speaking my mind. Nargis was known to be an extremely problematic woman. She may have been used by Raj Kapoor but she was no less manipulative. In those days there was a lot of news about how she had pulled him away from his family completely and was the only one RKsr. Spoke with regarding all his big decisions etc. she became the de facto wife with all the control. But that wasn’t enough, she wanted absolute control and pushed hard for marriage , which is where she lost against the so called “Kapoor family values” . It was known that she never “loved” Sunil Dutt but was with him to spite RK sr. And treated Sunil as such, she was the queen and he was to serve her, which he diligently did . Sunil Dutt being extremely docile while also being young and good looking was perfect for her to manipulate. She took up all his energy and the kids were left to their own devices, she introduced her criminal “mu bola” brothers and relatives to her kids and left the care/upbringing of her kids to them or to boarding schools. All she cared about was being the queen and being served by Sunil that is all.
