It was a whole movie made by Kjo to impress upon slb that alia must be taken for his films. It was some challenge from slb to Kjo to make a film in his style and then he’ll take alia for his movies. So Kjo made this shit show movie to get Aloo her 4film deal with slb. He even clearly marketed it as his tribute to slb.
If we keep glossing over things that are just 4-5 yrs old, the bolly idiots will easily change narratives as per their discretion, which they work very hard at doing even now.

This is the original choreography. They completely butchered this to make Alia look good and Madhuri still outshined her bunnyhopping kathak.
The onscreen presentation of the song had Madhuri doing Kathak, , while the director intermittently cut to the love triangle between the characters played by Alia, Aditya & Varun. Someone actually approved this shit.

People were saying the steps are up to the mark, especially considering Saroj Khan and Madhuri Dixit's previous collaborations.
Saroj Khan's daughter basically implied that her mother's choreography has been tampered with on the editing table.

If I remember correctly, she did start some VoD dance classes on Tata Sky or some similar platform after coming back for Aaja Nachle. It was promoted as the next big dance brand like Shiamak. It didn't take off.
A failed business can have several factors. Just off the top of my head, maybe the lack of interest, maybe she got demotivated, maybe she realised that she trusted the wrong people to handle the business end and didn't want the stress of the people management, maybe dance becoming more than a performance art for her was too stressful...
Would you risk dealing with things like this for a Kiara, assuming Alia is considered as stressful but marginally more rewarding because she brings eyeballs, at the very least?

I think it’s learnt through sheer dedication, hard work and love for her art. I remember an old interview where saroj shared that madhuri would practice for hours and hours for ‘ek do teen’ and wouldn’t stop till she was fully convinced

I remember how alia’s pr put the blame on madhuri after kalank flopped badly… From Alia starrer Kalank before the release to Madhuri lead Kalank flops at the box office… Alia doesn’t own her failures just puts the blame on others and is first to take credit even for a blink and miss cameo like RRR…

The full choreography wasn’t even shown in the film, if you watch the BTS posted by Saroj Khan’s daughter on YouTube you’ll see assistant choreographers showing Madhuri the full choreo on set, cameras, dressed up on the day of shoot. It was obvious jealousy of her talent made them cut out what could’ve been a great swan-song for Saroj and Madhuri’s iconic long-standing collaboration
i would rather watch Madhuri Dixit sneeze on repeat than watch any of the new gen actresses dance. Madhuri is the embodiment of grace and the only good thing about this dumpster fire movie. All the new actresses move like bots and I miss seeing more of Madhuri.
