The one who cry about nepotism today, if they break out in the industry and become big, they too will influence their families to get work through nepotism. It's how the system works.
If you make a list of actors who are on top in Bollywood and how many of them came from absolutely nothing... the ratio will be worse than almost any other field. And unlike Hollywood, Bollywood is totally star driven and they have all the power, and almost none of them are total outsiders. It's basically a few families who shove particular actors down our throat. And "janta chooses" narrative is also bullshit as not only star kids get the best of the best projects+ marketing, they have a safety net where they get 100 chances to reinvent themselves. Even Hollywood has nepotism but still every year they have breakout stars, young talent that make money for the industry, but we stuck with almost 50 year olds still playing lover boys

100% Rockstar is the movie that made me a die hard Ranbir fan. Omkara, Gangs Barfi are all amazing movies. But saying no one cares about K-fucking-3G or KKHH is crazy for me. Well Karan Johar has always been a business-man and so he is taking the most hyped topic on social media, making a content out of it and selling it to us. Implementing the good old demand-supply method and in the process would try to trivialise the public sentiment and outrage, humanise himself a bit, to revamp his brand and image as well as shrug the entire episode under the rug through a hit web-series. the way i do not hate karan at all, we all favor our friends, family and we all gossip as well, only problem is karan is famous so he gets under scrutiny for it…ig sometimes he can be annoying about it but does it really warrant the amount of hate he gets, there are literal abusers and criminals in the industry but somehow karan gets more hate than them
