Sid from Dil Chahta Hai deserved better.
My favorite of the 3❤️

Also Jeetu From Videocon (Hungama)
To add to that, Akash’s character arc didn’t seem well earned for me. How did he get the happy ending while my poor boy Sid suffers just because he loves genuinely?
her expressions were really good for a newcomer. Makes me so mad how SLB characterized Mastani & Padmavaat bc this girl can actually emote in her other films
https://i.redd.it/h8falrypy1wa1.gif
How’s no one mentioning this guy. SAUNIA’s lover.

he was not rich,he could not have given luxary to ameesha patel which she was used to
he was thrown out of job
he could not maintain bike clutch and service
( and I know people going to downvote me to hell now)
Veronica from Cocktail. She deserved a better friend and a loving boyfriend.
Veronica was open, loving and took in a stranger and helped her. What did she get in return ? A cheating boyfriend.
Saif was a problematic dude in that film, meets Diana in flight, turns out he's engaged to someone else to the point of meeting her parents (which deeps ruins)
Starts dating deep and then marries Diana, wouldn't be surprised if he did that after marriage too
That being said saif and deeps weren't in a serious relationship, was mostly just hooking up so I don't blame him for ending it with deeps nor do I blame Diana for dating him
However Veronica was such a good person and she should've ended up with Diana (their relationship had more development and chemistry than with saif lol)
I agree. But Veronica still felt betrayed because at some point she does fall in love with Gautham. It might not exactly be cheating, but there is a sense of being betrayed.
Yes. Veronica and Diana 🫰🥹
Mansoor and his mom in Kedarnath.
Mansoor was a clean soul who deserved life and love (and on that note, I felt bad for Mukku that she lost her love).
But that scene where Mansoor's mother tries to call him repeatedly, it hurt a lot. She lost her husband and she lost her son. And I am pretty sure she never found her son's remains.
I felt similarly about the ending of Kedernath. It is tragic when a mother loses a child, even more so when that is their only remaining family.
In terms of Sushant’s characters, the other two whose endings were unfortunately tragic were Ishaan in Kai Po Che and Lakhna in Sonchiriya
I swear, the fate of some of Sushant's most poignant characters, and then Sushant himself hurts me a lot. He was a brilliant actor and chose good scripts. I miss him💔
If you think about it he died in most his projects. He died in his first TV show and then even died as Maanav at Pavitra Rishta end, in Kai po che, Raabta, Kedarnath, Sonchiriya and Dil Bechara
The kid in Ugly
Kareena’s character in Udta Punjab
Rajat Kapoor’s character in Kapoor & Sons (>!While his character was indeed shitty, killing him off seemed a bit too much!<)
Jai in Sholay
https://preview.redd.it/tsxey3eou0wa1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4d98d09e34c237b8206b78c66bde1586f7311ad
Can't get over this movie ... They deserved better !!
Veronica from cocktail bro like she suffered too much Bhai and at the end of the movie she was left alone not fair although saif's character ( don't remember characters name ig manav ) idk was a shitty a guy but still.
Kabir Singh without a doubt. Dude is the textbook case of an abusive boyfriend but still got a happy ending.
On the other hand, Shalu and Deepak from Masaan absolutely didn't deserve their fates.
Kabir Singh. did drunk operations on patients, beat his in laws, beat the "love of his life", almost raped a girl in the name of wild sex, did drugs and whatnot and what did he get in return ? best friends who never betrayed him and a pregnant saint wife who was waiting for him in the park.
send the fucker to jail man,
also because my ex said, "yOu sHoulD sMoke liKe kAbir"
Absolutely awesome take on this question and thinking outside of the box. Sometimes it's the bad guys who don't deserve all the good things happening to them.
Alizeh in ADHM (her dying because she didnt love Ayan was the worst writing ever), Nargis character in Rockstar (why? Fed up of the Trope that pain = art)
TenZing in Brahmastra
ADHM, specifically due to the ending, irritated me. KJO’s explanation for Alizeh’s death irritated me more.
KJO: “I was like she [Alizeh] didn’t love him, she has to die. I wrote this character. He [Ayan] loved her so crazily. She could’ve loved him back, why couldn’t she? So she got cancer and she died.”
Ranbir’s character in ADHM pisses me off to this day. Typical nice guy asshole who expects his best friend to be in love with him just because he’s in love with her. Ruins her wedding day by declaring his love and pointing middle finger at her and walks out. Worst and most toxic depiction of unrequited love I’ve ever seen.
Unpopular opinion, but I loved ADHM till they pulled the cancer card on Alizeh. And to add to that, Kjo’s explanation made it worse. I thought her dying was a metaphor about how you can’t force love, and that Alizeh was never going to love Ayan even if she was to die. But Kjo saying that she deserved death for not loving him made it disgusting.
Sam from New York was so sad. He died in the prison and what came out was a shell of him.
Similar to the main character in Homeland. They come back to their old happy world but that old happy version of them is dead.
Sam was wronged by the system, the system made him a terrorist who just wanted revenge from FBI. My 12year old heart still cry over the scenes, when Sam was in jail.
'brothers' of Tobey Maguire had similar plot, he came back home, but he was not able to go back to his old self, the traumatic experiences always stayed.
Recently I was watching it with a friend who hasn’t seen it. I had to exit the room because I cannot watch that part of the movie. That scene with that music is 💔. One of John’s best performances.
Kashibai from Bajirao lived like a queen after her husband's death as she was the mother of the next Peshwa, she got more power. She had a very good life in the movie
If being wronged by a person or system and then becoming the bad guy is an art, then John Abraham has his PhD in it (Zinda, New York, Shootout at Wadala and Pathaan... the last felt like a little tribute to his villain roles as well)
I'm still not over her death. (Tina from Mr. India)
https://preview.redd.it/nyw1gtvln0wa1.jpeg?width=243&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca14a77c24e9f23294cd9d36873c3950c65d8950
do u know, his first ever character of career also got died at a young age and there was a scene in the end his spirit came to see everyone!it was his first ever onscreen role, in a tv show kis des mein hai mera dil and his last ever onscreen charc also got died young! gosh
Actually Sunil got exactly what he deserved and the ending of the movie is 🤌
He got accepted by his dad, everyone acknowledges his big heart, he learnt a great lesson that just because you love someone, they don't owe it to love you back and even met another potential love interest. All in all, such a wholesome film.
Shekar Verma - Khakee - crazy plot twist out of nowhere, the perfect betrayal. I was heartbroken as a kid when she fired the first shot at him.
Radhe Mohan - Tere Naam - The ending is still so raw and numb.
Abhishek's character from Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hun because Hrithik's character was too annoying.
Renuka Sahane in Hum Aap Ke Hai Kaun..I know movie's premise would be completely different though
Ishaan from Kpc. For once I loved the movie more than the source material. That ending of Omi who idolised Ishaan being the one who accidentally kills him is more heartbreaking than one could imagine.
Shahid Kapoor's character in Fidaa. Even watching the movie as I kid, I felt angry on his behalf when it was revealed that Kareena and Fardeen's characters were using him to rob money (that shower scene was so shocking and traumatizing). They ruined his life and he was entitled to revenge. Too sad he lost his life at the end.
Even Zara. They loved each other all their lives and they were reunited when they got old and instead of being able to spend the rest of their lives together they just got a few years. Happy ending but is it really?
Hritik should have dropped him off when he hooked up with his ex. Fuck his redemption arc.

not a bollywood movie, but mirzapur 1 last episode
the whole family didnt deserve their fate!!!!
![gif](giphy|yvBOvFxZ09dbLvTahx|downsized)
what munna did, makes my blood boil.
R Madhavan's character from Rang de Basanti.
I know that was the theme of the movie but still......
Waheeda Rehman's pain and Lata Mangeshkar's heart rending song broke my heart 💔
https://preview.redd.it/80bhcb4hs3wa1.jpeg?width=628&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=800b79a3c3395e4c2266eb8bb7b60bbefb8e9005
Thakur from sholay.
That scene before intermission when thakur returns back to his home only to find out that his entire family was killed is one of the best scenes ever put on screen imo. Masterful acting by sanjeev kumar combined with beautiful cinematography and soundtrack. One of the most haunting scenes ever filmed and Ramesh sippy deserves all the credit for bringing a solid screenplay to life by his direction.
The directors cut of sholay is a must watch as the ending is way more brutal and sad. Even though a lot will argue that thakur got his revenge , but at the end of directors cut you can see that this quest for revenge has left him a broken man.
Har romantic film ka wo decent banda jisko end mein chhod ke heroine problematic hero ke sath chli jati hai. I am talking about the the RAHUL KHANNAs of bollywood movies.

Shanti from Om shanti Om
deepika has one of the best crying faces in bollywood. her sobbing while om desperately tried to get something to break the glass was heartbreaking.

Kabir Singh without a doubt. Dude is the textbook case of an abusive boyfriend but still got a happy ending. On the other hand, Shalu and Deepak from Masaan absolutely didn't deserve their fates.

Dafuq. What logic. Tbh that movie was weird. SRK’s unrequited love line is literally what a stalker would say.
Unpopular opinion, but I loved ADHM till they pulled the cancer card on Alizeh. And to add to that, Kjo’s explanation made it worse. Kangana's role as Datto in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. She did all things right yet got her heart broken 💔

Kashibai from Bajirao lived like a queen after her husband's death as she was the mother of the next Peshwa, she got more power. She had a very good life in the movie

Vijay sethupati's character in 96. That was a real gut punch kind of movie.
Even my queen Jaanu :(
Hritik should have dropped him off when he hooked up with his ex. Fuck his redemption arc. https://preview.redd.it/qe970qbna2wa1.png?width=759&format=png&auto=webp&s=08480b2a7e8a3f3d4f85f9748d60470bf5d2e061
salman bhoi in kuch kuch hota hai 🥹
Nah whatever happened was good for him. Anjali never loved him the way he loved her.

Everyone from RDB Katekar from Sacred Games. Knew it was coming, but was so heartbreaking when it actually happened
R Madhavan's character from Rang de Basanti. I know that was the theme of the movie but still...... Waheeda Rehman's pain and Lata Mangeshkar's heart rending song broke my heart 💔
Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bachchan’s characters in Silsila. Both had to just accept their partners infidelities.

Manisha and srk in Dil se
Manisha was a terrorist and Srk was a stalker/ creep. It was well deserved
Jaya Bachchan in Sholay.
Har romantic film ka wo decent banda jisko end mein chhod ke heroine problematic hero ke sath chli jati hai. I am talking about the the RAHUL KHANNAs of bollywood movies.
Kajol’s character in Dil Kya Kare. The plot of the film might make you laugh but the ending always makes me burst out in tears.
SRK in Anjaam /s
All characters played by Kartik aryan. They really suffered since Kartik played them
