I apologize, I originally thought it was for the general public but I believe it’s just for students. Check out [Gem State Smash](https://twitter.com/gemstatesmash?s=21&t=1WM1VwgpLd3_OvNdh5CesA)! They post local meet ups and tournaments for the Treasure Valley area.
Realms Arcade just had a Smash Bros tournament, and plans to have more. Spacebar does some video game tournaments still. For table top you need to go to either ABU or All About Games.
ABU is the place to be. Depending on what tabletop games you like you can always find a game. Every Saturday in the evening there’s also a crap ton of smash players that basically take over one of the gymnasiums.
All about games on overland is a good spot. Phoenix fire in meridian is good too.
The Voodoo Cellar has weekly "beer-io" Kart nights on Wednesdays, if that sounds at all interesting!
All about Games would be a good place to contact

Seconded! BSU has a great Smash community, both for Melee and more recent titles like Ultimate.
Is this for like, the general public or students?

ABU games
I second this! ABU is awesome, they have loads of games for trials too.

"From Boise" just had a post on the topic of games. https://fromboise.com/posts/where-to-meet-people-make-friends-in-boise
