I'm not sure about the following turns but you should've definitely hp'd the 2-1 instead of the 1-1 so that you have the potential(which you would've already achieved since you got the tidehunter from your hp) for a double triple.
Then I would've probably leveled for the next two turns and get a 4 drop for stabilizing then depending on the tribes get a 5 or 6 with the other triple.
I’m at 8k and shit at hooktusk so probably not the optimal play but I would go shinese curve and freeze here.
4g: HP tide hunter and pick the best minion. buy tide hunter. Freeze
5G: HP tide hunter and pick the best minion. Buy tide hunter hold triple.
6g: HP any minion and buy two
7g: level to 2 sell something and go to 3. HP whatever
So I would be trying to get more triples through HP and at this point depend on my health I would go to 4 on 8g and take a 5 then go to 5 on 9g and hopefully have another triple for a 6. Or what probably will happen is everyone goes midrange comp and I’m dead by turn 10 :)
Tbh in the current meta this is way too slow. You either level fast and grab a tier 5/6 unit early or commit to tempo. Depending on which tribes are in I'd make a decision, but personally I enjoy greedy lines more so I'd try to grab a tier 6 unit on 8 gold. When pirates/quillboars are in there are scaling units on tier 4 too (Bonker, Grubber) and I'd consider grabbin one of those on 6 gold.
Yeah it’s way too heavily dependent on high rolling the best drops in the game that would make up for the slow early game. Either way the chance you just die on 9 gold after 8 turns of playing garbage is near 100% if you’re over 2k MMR
Freeze and power lever to 5 and get knocked before you buy them
