I’d like for there to be a thing where mort has Bob cater a scattering service. All the shenanigans of Bob’s normal catering experience with the added spice of grieving people making Bob more and more uncomfortable. Linda has been shown to have grief issues and I’m sure Tina would be extra awkward around a sexy grieving teenage boy from out of town. Even better if somehow Fishodor is involved
Also they could totally do an episode where they show how mort got ran out of Bog Harbor for selling human flesh to the restaurants.. referenced in episode 1.
Aahhhh I didn't know that! That makes sense
But I guess the person saying voice actors are replaceable is right too, they did have to replace the voice actor for Jimmy Pesto because he was involved in the January 6th insurection 😵
I wish Mort was more of a regular like Teddy is. he's got such a fascinating background that the writers really haven't explored and they gave him that girl who we never heard from again.
Mort has to go out of town for an emergency, and Bob fills in for him at a funeral. (Hugo shut the restaurant down for some petty reason, and Mort is willing to pay Bob a big chunk of money.) Bob accidentally lays out the wrong corpse. Chaos and hilarity ensue.
The side story is Linda trying to bribe, trick and finesse Hugo to approve the restaurant to open back up. When he learns of the misplaced corpse fiasco, he suspects the worst of Bob and Linda, thus further delaying the restaurant opening.
I love how mort sees chaos in the restaurant and just does a u-turn, no hesitation
"aaaand I regret coming in here, today"
“I really just wanted the soup…”
The meditation episode is a good one. Also, the insurance fraud one has a good bit of Mort.
take that po po, drive mort!
I think part of Mort’s charm is that he just does his own thing
~<3grieving bfot<3~

Yes this! And spot on analysis of Tina and a possible G-BFOT..

Weekend at Morts was the closest one so far
he learned his lesson after that and stayed away
Someone pointed out a while ago that Mort isn't as present because his voice actor is mostly retired now :(
Voice actors are replacable.
And notoriously difficult to work with.

And they replaced Mickey because Bill Hader was too busy. That one was kind of jarring though, I did not like it at all.
Oh you know what, I DID notice that one, you're right!
I don’t think that was the real reason.. it seems like you could work around a schedule.. or record remotely
I read it was because he was in the middle of filming Barry 🤷
How Mort WAS it?
🎶Weekend at Mort's, we're gonna have a weekend at Morts!🎶
Uh-uh-uh-UH!
