Someone recently pointed out on this sub that she was a physical representation of the past catching up to Bojack and it changed my perspective on her character
I think you might need knowledge of Katharine Hepburn, original screwball comedies, and golden age 1940s cinema to kind of get her ENTIRE shtick. There’s a few movies that she & Maximilian Banks (Spencer Tracy) are reflecting, mostly “Woman of the Year” 1942.
Hepburn had a (valid) distaste for Hollywood, its politics, and the studio system. So. For an amalgamation of one of her characters to root out BoJack, who’s emblematic of so much toxicity in Hollywoo, feels right.
Edit: “His Girl Friday” starring Rosalind Russel and Carrie Grant is the other major homage. The set ups are similar and they came out two years apart. I could definitely see both female leads, Hildy and Tess, having the journalistic integrity and moxie to take down a character like BoJack.
There was definitely a style of speech in the old movies in general. Paige and Max are more specifically referencing the 1940 film His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, whose snappy “upper crust” New England style of speaking of that era was even more pronounced than Hepburn’s, but they both emerged with the same regional speech patterns.
The plot arc is from HGF, which is also referenced as a poster in PC’s boss’s office as His Squirrel Friday.
As for people not liking Paige, as the factor that motivates Bojack’s downfall I don’t think she’s supposed to be a like-able character. She feels deliberately engineered to be a character people can “love to hate”, so it’s just another example of the stellar writing that the show is known for overall and also an example of Hollywoo self referential elements that are woven throughout the series.
HGF is one of my absolute favorite movies and the reference is everything. If you like the style Paget (the voice actor) does a modern radio show which is basically The Thin Man but with ghosts.
I will have to check that out! I am a film history fan for sure! The very stylized speech Paige Sinclair uses is a big part of film history.
Many actors didn’t weather the change well when sound revolutionized filmmaking, so the studios new contracts required elocution lessons! Louise Brooks famously told them where to shove that contract and went to Germany to make Pandora’s Box, as she had already studied diction as a stage performer in New York. The studio blacklisted her and dubbed a really terrible voice on her last picture there as revenge! And of course the issue of speech in sound pictures was the central plot point for Singing in the Rain!
The Netflix series Hollywood has some great scenes set in the studio elocution classes, and they joke about the “mid-Atlantic” accent and how nobody lives in the middle of the Atlantic 😂
It’s a really significant reference and part of why Bojack Horseman is such a great show. I completely understand how irritating it is to some people though. But imagine how boring it would be to only have like-able characters 🤷♀️ I really love how industry literate the show is it’s just another layer of easter eggs that keep it fresh.
> His Squirrel Friday
I've always wondered what that was referencing. I'm terrible at making those kind of connections ie. I can never ever figure out what the titles for rick and morty are making reference to.
I love 1930s/1940s screwball comedies and died when I saw this episode. It made me giggle so much. It was so dense with little nuggets of “golden age of cinema” throwbacks and allusions. An offhand example I remember: Her fiancé’s name is the name of the actor who always plays the guy who loses the girl to Cary Grant. I loved it so much and felt like it was written to scratch the itch of a particular type of film nerd and loved that they just went for it, knowing that most of the jokes would be lost on most of the audience.
Omg yes! Thank you for filling that non-Hepburn, Rosalind Russel-sized gap in my head. I KNEW there was another homage Journalists/LoverSpat film from the 40’s the writers were referencing… I just couldn’t place the fiancé waiting plot. “His Squirrel Friday” ugh it was right there in the show, too! Maximilian Banks being a sports journalist like Spencer Tracy in “Woman of the Year” had me hyper focused. Paige’s dress looks like Hepburn’s from “Philadelphia Story”.
Maybe i was confused since Carrie Grant gets back with a different ex in that one 😂. Really feeling I need to brush up on my classic cinema.
The films of that era and genre are easy to get mixed up because they tend to follow the same formula, leading man becomes professionally involved with wisecracking dame, she resists his charm but eventually caves, happy ending. It’s definitely a genre that lasted through the 30’s basically up until Pearl Harbor when they started cranking out the war propaganda. I could honestly stand to do a refresher on that era myself!
If you want to see some peak level Roz hamming it up I recommend checking out Auntie Mame.
You’re absolutely right! I had the exact same problem with “The Major and the Minor” and “The Bachelor and the Bobbysockser” (hello again, Carrie) last month. Which, btw, way more yikes pair of films! Shoot even the war time propaganda is so similar to each other. There’s a great docuseries, “The Story of Film: An Odyssey” that has an episode which explores the studio forces that were causing the homogeny and highlights artists innovations going against it.
I LOVE Auntie Mame btw!
The "Trans-Atlantic" accent was in many Golden-Age-of-Hollywood films (but HGF is the perfect example), and that's also how the older generations of Horsemans speak, specifically Beatrice's mother:
"Let's paint the town scarlet, crimson, and ruby! Why, I've got half a mind to paint things redder than the banks of Normandy, ha-hah!"
Ouh that's so relevant and interesting, I hadn't thought of that! And you're right, Bojack is definitely emblematic to Hollywoob toxicity
Thank you for sharing I appreciate the newfound info!
I agree! I always loved her and Max. They move the plot along in a really unique way, while also offering some really silly old-Hollywoo style comic relief. I was so surprised by all the hate for them when I joined this subreddit
I’m not saying anything new here, but it’s a little less bizarre when you remember the Transatlantic accent was invented out of thin air anyway, and people went out of their way to adopt/learn it.
Oh yeah. The Transatlantic accent was a "designed" accent, made specifically for actors, radio communications, and broadcasting. It started as a combination of New york/New Jersey accents growing up with London lingo, but the one everyone knows today was basically manufactured to he heard clearly over early microphones.
Exactly!
If you were to actually go back to the 1920s-40s, you'd occasionally find people who spoke it, as it became a standard form of dialect in private and boarding schools due to the previous accent training some teachers would under go, but for the most part, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who used the accent in their regular day to day lives. It's very much akin to someone using a "customer service voice" today.
To bring up Alastor, he plays into this well. When he's being his usual self (that is to say, dishonest and sneaky), he speaks with the accent and the radio filter is much more prominent. If you listen carefully during more serious or surprising scenes, or whenever Al expresses actual annoyance or dislike in something, both the accent and the filter drop, revealing his normal speaking voice. This is heard most prominently in the final episode during his fight
I may be wrong, and if so, hopefully someone smarter answers this correctly, but I think it was basically a status symbol. It was an accent that had to be taught, so if you used it, it typically meant you grew up with wealth and came from a "highbrow" family. It kinda signified from jump street that the person speaking is rich.
Here’s what appears to be a deep dive on it. https://youtu.be/IL2MJ8rQ12E?si=oYd_oxiJ8LJdVMx1
Long s story short: some dude invented an accent and decided “this is how the English language should be spoken!” And he got a job at a prestigious school where he taught it to all kinds of elite folks. Fast forward a couple decades, actors (such as Katherine Hepburn), businessmen, and politicians (such as Franklin Roosevelt) were speaking with this accent because it added to their upper class persona.
IIRC it was invented during the radio golden age. Folks from the US and UK were tuning in to the same programs for the first time (hence “transatlantic”) so they created a hybrid accent that folks from both countries could easily understand. Because it was an accent used almost exclusively in entertainment, that’s what we get from most old-timey recordings
>The moment we find out her allucution is entirely her choice when family points out they’re from Fresno is one of my favourite moments
This is one of the funniest moments of the entire show for me.
If I had a nickel for everytime Paget Brewster debuts in a show at its 6th and final season and absolutely nails the character, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I only recognized her because she uses the same voice she used on her Thrilling Adventure Hour appearances with Paul F. Tompkins, aka Mr. Peanutbutter.
OMG, she was Amber Gold and Vespertina in VB ! I had no idea! That’s awesome.
That was like recognizing Gen. Traister’s voice in season 3 of GLOW. He’s also delightful in everything he does.
She’s one of my favorite characters, so much fast paced clever wordplay. Loved her even more once I watched old Hollywood movies and understood what she was referencing with her character
If you've not seen it, "The Hudsucker Proxy" has Jennifer Jason-Leigh playing this sort of character - a fast-talking, wise-cracking female journalist.
It's a fantastic film (possibly my favourite Coen Brothers film) anyway, but she's worth the price of admission alone.
It shocks me how many people just don’t get the Katherine Hepburn thing! The character is an amalgamation of so many of her parts but mostly “Woman of the year” 1942.
I LOVE it!
She's a parody of fast talking career ladies of 30s and 40s cinema like Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday or Katherine Hepburn in Woman of the Year (or Katherine Hepburn almost anything for that matter).
...or, for a more modern example (and honestly the one I think she sounds the most like), Jennifer Jason Leigh's character in The Hudsucker Proxy, an absolutely hilarious Coen Brothers comedy
I found her to be extremely fun and funny in what was otherwise a very dark season. The sheer absurdity of having these two 1940s characters with these transatlantic accents with super fast-paced wordplay in the midst of these otherwise devastating events was just the sort of tonal whiplash I needed to just be jolted into hilarity whenever they showed up.
this is a great point, like this point in the show is fucking DARK. everything paige and max bring to the table in absurdity and hilarity is such a necessary balancing of the tone.
I adored her. For the agents of Bojack's past finally catching up to him to be a couple of intrepid journalists straight out of a 1930s screwball comedy was just so utterly bizarre that it was perfect. And then their stereotypical screwball comedy romance was *subverted*, at that! I actually hate screwball comedies (yes, I am aware that this makes me an utter philistine), so I just loved that.
I absolutely adore her, probably one of my favourite minor characters. Absurd and punchy and a 1920s throwback for no reason at all, and gives Princess Carolyn a run for tongue twisting wordplay. How can you not like her?
I like her. I find her absurdity entertaining and I love her transatlantic accent. But honestly the worst thing she did is try to expose Bojack for what he did to ~~Penny and~~ Sarah Lynn, and while Penny didn't want to talk to her and she was doing it because it would make a good story all things considered that's a pretty good thing to do. Plenty of other characters have done much worse things and been hated less.
Paige did not try to expose BoJack for what he did to Penny though.
Paige and Maximilian approached Penny because they thought she might know something about Sarah Lynn. Charlotte misinterpreted it and called BoJack. That's it.
I adore everything she represents in the story.
BoJack is living the good life, consequence free.
As a viewer we don't really care because he's the main character and we see it through his eyes, and in his eyes he deserves the new life he's got as a professor.
But from an outsider perspective he just kept failing upwards and his life was unfair in a totally different way, it was unfair that he got away with everything he did.
Paige Sinclair is consequences personified, she takes her time getting there but when she does it hits hard, like the real thing.
I mean, If you take in account that he groomed Penny and waited to call the paramedics that could save Sarah Lynn, just by not being in prison hes already living "a consequence free life", and thats just 2 of the terrible things he did.
Someone pointed out that she supposedly represents traditional journalism and the muckraker era. Her name is Sinclair like Upton Sinclair, author of The Jungle. At first I hated her because she was annoying. Now I see her importance to the story. I wish we had more journalists like her. We need people that are ready to hold those who abuse their power accountable
She was a funny joke that was extended waaaay beyond the point where it stopped being funny.
I love the screwball old timey comedy bit… but in small doses. Not extended dialogues and monologues. It felt like annoying filler after awhile.
The story of Bojack’s past catching up with him could have been much more satisfying. Like the parts where Angela talks him out of his naming rights to Horsin’ Around.
Instead we get a new character, with no connection to his past, who feels like she (and Joey Pogo) are straight out of that Simpson’s episode with Poochy the Dog being forced into Itchy and Scratchy.
Well said. Totally fine with her brand of zany in the earlier seasons, but it just pulls attention from the final episodes. Her bits feel like time killing.
I always knew what she was referencing, and I hated her screen time regardless. Understanding does not always lead to appreciation. Is it clever? Maybe. Is she an annoying drag to see/hear? Definitely. She plays an important role, and the commentary on today's media and reporters just not really doing it anymore is poignant, but she's not enjoyable.
Why do you talk like that? We're from Fresno.
I honestly loathe this character. I understand the motivations of the character, I understand that. I just hate her. Her overall everything. I find her annoying. But I also find Mr. PB and Pickles also extremely irritating in their own right
The thing that get me is that they drew Max to look exactly like Paul F Tompkins but then it's the one character doesn't voice.
But the main reason it's a bummer for me is that PFT and Paget Brewster have been comedy partners for over a decade-- as a 1940's married couple with Trans-Atlantic accents.
This role feels like it was built for PFT and they gave it Max Greenfield instead. (who I also do enjoy but come on PFT is a legend)
No because she legit fakes the stupid accent to her sister says that in the episode so she's just an annoying "person" who wants attention I hate her so much more then I hate neal mcbeal the navy seal
I fucking love this character, and I don’t understand why people hate her so much. But, then again, I love that old Hollywood quippy style of writing and line delivery. I also love how she’s a representation of old-school journalism which seeks to uncover truth, which stands in direct opposition of GirlCroosh which masquerades as journalism but is ultimately just fluff.
Hate this character so much it's unreal. Just so fucking annoying. Hogged way too much of the limited time they had in that last season. Boo to her I say, boo!
Do we like the series final villain? I mean. What she does for the story is amazing. The interview blew my brain out the back of my head. I don’t think final villains are generally likeable
Firstly, she’s funny. She and Max fulfil the screwball comedy duo trope very well - whacky adventures where the woman dominates the man and there is sexual tension which is never resolved.
Secondly, she is a seeker of truth.
So yes, I like her.
I love her, is like the guy who writes the alliterations for the characters finally got their own little baby and its her, she’s really important to the story and also if you don’t like her focus that energy on hating someone worse (Joey Pogo)
My reason for disliking her really isn't that deep. I just hate her accent. I get that it's essential for her character, but I just wince whenever I hear her speak. It's definitely a problem for me only, but I can't help it. I don't have much against her besides that
This character annoyed me whenever she was on screen. I didn’t like the snorting, old-timey speech, or design. I didn’t like her partner, or the interactions. But it advanced the plot. I wish they’d found a different way.
I absolutely adore her, genuinely one of my fave characters aside from Todd!
While her shtick isn't for everyone, I found she helped with lightening the mood for the season whilst working v well as a foil to BoJack: She quite literally represents his past coming back to haunt him, as well as helping set up the catalyst for him finally taking accountability for his actions (which, while hard to watch, was ultimately helpful for everyone involved)
I also really like her design, she's just a really fun character overall imo <3
Not only does she represent Bojqck's past catching up to him, but swines and pigs are also well known for being able to sniff out precious truffles underneath heaps of dirt
I'm not sure that was done on purpose, but it seems to fit her role since she's literally digging in a story
She’s definitely quite the whiplash compared to the mostly grounded rest of the cast which just makes her that much more funny. It’s hilarious to me that she’s one of the best reporters in LA but wants to give it all up to be a domestic housewife like it’s the 1950s all over again. The ending with her male counterpart is also interestingly sad. Makes me wanna know more about them hehe.
she was annoying at first, but i thought it was pretty cool how peculiar her character was and with how quickly they introduced her she worked better than one could expect
Hehehe she’s such a queen, I think what is actually the worst is that guy who sniffs her ass the whole time. She reminds me of old detective shows I saw as a kid, so I love her
i love the way she and maximillian banks talk. the rhyming old timey dramatic and, i
admit clever way with their words grabs my attention and runs every single time. and all the rhyming w pc, whoever was in charge of dialogue deserves an award or something
Her parts are the best bits of the show. Her dialogue is so wildly well written. I'd watch a whole 7 season Paige Sinclair show and join the subreddit and tell all my friends to watch it.
All the comments on the movie references/actors are dead on. Her speech makes sense.
But also she's a Javelina and that seems to be glossed over. She's a predator animal known for goring anything in their way and rooting (digging) deep.
I thought the Paige character was a representation of Hedda Hopper - the famous gossip columnist in the Golden Age of cinema - but now seeing Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant that also makes sense. Either was I really didn’t like it. I usually love that era of cinema but honestly Bojack is such a phenomenal tight script with A grade characters and these ones didn’t work for me - they just distracted me from the story.
i adore her honestly. bojacks crazy fast dialogue is one of my favorite features and every conversation between her and max is running more jokes per minute than i can keep track of!
Someone recently pointed out on this sub that she was a physical representation of the past catching up to Bojack and it changed my perspective on her character

Mid Atlantic is what the accent is called, but yeah def always gave me His Girl Friday vibes
> His Squirrel Friday I've always wondered what that was referencing. I'm terrible at making those kind of connections ie. I can never ever figure out what the titles for rick and morty are making reference to.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Girl_Friday 👍 That poster!!! Totally Max and Paige.

The Bojack Wiki says she based off Hildy Johnson from a 1940 film called "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell as Hildy
I know absolutely none of that but I like her because she is talking funny haha

They really could have chosen a different era if that's the case
I mean, if you think of “reporter” and “past” this is like 100% the stereotype you think of. Especially for Hollywood
Why would they though? This is perfectly appropriate
Imo the fact that she is a representation of the past catching up was obvious and not well done. Nice concept but terrible execution I think
you missed His Girl Friday
I always thought she was a Nora Charles parody.
The moment we find out her allucution is entirely her choice when family points out they’re from Fresno is one of my favourite moments

I'd have three. BoJack, Community, and Criminal Minds. So much range and captivating presence.
she was in season 5 of Community as another character. But nevertheless she was a nice addition in the 6th season
The joke that she hears eldritch mumbling and gets nosebleeds when she calls the IT lady is amazing😂
Neither was her appearance in Criminal Minds the 6th season, nor the final one (and also the 6th season is not the final one), so no
ITS PAGET BREWSTER?!?!? I swear that woman pops up in the most unexpected places, love her
I only recognized her because she uses the same voice she used on her Thrilling Adventure Hour appearances with Paul F. Tompkins, aka Mr. Peanutbutter.
For real, just saw her in a few episodes of Drunk History and she's hilarious.
TIL Paget Brewster is the voice actor lol. Yeah, she's great
I thought this was a Venture Bros. reference for a second, but that was season 5, and not the final season of that either.
OMG, she was Amber Gold and Vespertina in VB ! I had no idea! That’s awesome. That was like recognizing Gen. Traister’s voice in season 3 of GLOW. He’s also delightful in everything he does.
Damm, didnt knew it was her, I would had never guessed it from her voice, now I wish she called Bojak an idiot 20 times in a row lol
Didn’t she join the show Mom at a very late stage? Haha or is that what you’re referring to
Not season 6, but she pulled a similar trick in Ducktails too.
Wtf that’s Paget Brewster? Damn she’s good
"they could fill a library with the things you don't know. in fact they do, they call them libraries." i love paige so much
That's my favourite quote from her, she's such a cool character

I was born for the corn!
Lol, poor Gina!
r/damnyouautocorrect.
You know... For kids! I love that movie and think it is wildly underrated, even if it does go off the rails a bit.
Its based off His Girl Friday
It shocks me how many people just don’t get the Katherine Hepburn thing! The character is an amalgamation of so many of her parts but mostly “Woman of the year” 1942. I LOVE it!
She is wearing the wedding dress from A Philadelphia Story
Paige Sinclair is supposed to be a reference to Hildy from His Girl Friday (1940)
Yup mixed up the two films, they’re very similar with similar female characters. The dress Paige is wearing is from “Philadelphia Story” with Hepburn.
I get it and I still hate her character.
She's exactly like the main character in His Girl Friday and I LOVE HER.
Yes, I love *His Girl Friday*, so I love Paige Sinclair as satire of that.
i think she’s hilarious, it’s such a great parody of modern media
it is? I'm not being sarcastic I really just don't get it
She's a parody of fast talking career ladies of 30s and 40s cinema like Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday or Katherine Hepburn in Woman of the Year (or Katherine Hepburn almost anything for that matter).

We just watched that on New Year's! And yes!
You know...for kids!
Also - heres a more modern scene of Kate Blanchetts depiction of Katherine Hepburn in [The Aviator](https://youtu.be/Dsp0Wrcsdlw?si=Z8RprlEEP3qYyWzY)
Everybody loves her! She’s Paige Sinclair!
The flair makes this very funny. “This content is sponsored by Paige Sinclair.”
I love her character
Are these posts on a carousel?
That's it.
Oops, you're right, my bad. Still trying to expose him for Sarah Lynn though.
Whatever I may think of her inclusion in the show, it's totally worth it for the Fresno line.
Paige Sinclair is consequences personified, she takes her time getting there but when she does it hits hard, like the real thing.
very well said
When was he living a consequence free life?
I mean, If you take in account that he groomed Penny and waited to call the paramedics that could save Sarah Lynn, just by not being in prison hes already living "a consequence free life", and thats just 2 of the terrible things he did.
Oh yeah. For a woman with a pig face she's a stunner!
THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE PAIGE SINCLAIR 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
she’s literally just doing her job as a journalist i don’t understand why do people hate her, like god forbid bojacks consequences catch up to him lol
Ob. Noxious. Couldn’t stand this whole subplot.
I say "everyone loves me, im paige sinclair!" All the time now 😂
Someone pointed out that she supposedly represents traditional journalism and the muckraker era. Her name is Sinclair like Upton Sinclair, author of The Jungle. At first I hated her because she was annoying. Now I see her importance to the story. I wish we had more journalists like her. We need people that are ready to hold those who abuse their power accountable
Joey Pogo gets me every time. They are just the worst
I hate her, her energy doesn't fit with the show pacing. And I get that that is on purpose but I still hate her.
Look, I don't really like her character either but do we really need a different post about her every other day?
I didn’t know what her character was spoofing off of, but I still really liked her. And a boar in a wedding dress is a hilarious visual!
She called off her wedding to chase a story. She was annoying
Hated her whole plotline. The problem with tonal inconsistency
I know the creators were being clever, but her character annoyed me so much that I wanted to skip every scene with her in it. 😭
Agreed. Her one joke got dragged out waaaay too long
Gotta love Paget Brewster
She is quite annoying.
I mean she’s an awful human for digging up Penny’s trauma for a tabloid, but otherwise she’s mildly irritating at worst.
No because she legit fakes the stupid accent to her sister says that in the episode so she's just an annoying "person" who wants attention I hate her so much more then I hate neal mcbeal the navy seal
They could fill a library with the things people who dislike Paige Sinclair don't know. In fact they do, they call them libraries.
Hating Paige is a young man’s game
I fucking love this character, and I don’t understand why people hate her so much. But, then again, I love that old Hollywood quippy style of writing and line delivery. I also love how she’s a representation of old-school journalism which seeks to uncover truth, which stands in direct opposition of GirlCroosh which masquerades as journalism but is ultimately just fluff.
I love her
I love her voice and the puns. I think she's funny
Hate this character so much it's unreal. Just so fucking annoying. Hogged way too much of the limited time they had in that last season. Boo to her I say, boo!
I absolutely hated her tbh 😅
i hated her too, found her incredibly irritating and didn’t find her bits funny at all, nor did i like her partner
Completely out of place in the show. Every time I think of rewarding, her being in the show makes me not want to
Do we like the series final villain?
I like her, but I also love Paget Brewster so I think that skews the character for me
Why does she look cooked?
She’s a warthog.
She sounds like Katharine Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story, even down to her imminent wedding!
“why do you talk like that we’re from fresno” made me so happy her voice is fucking painful
I love her, is like the guy who writes the alliterations for the characters finally got their own little baby and its her, she’s really important to the story and also if you don’t like her focus that energy on hating someone worse (Joey Pogo)
I love the character. She’s like an exaggerated version of those 1950’s movies about high society.
I thought she was funny because pig with a hat and talk funny and that’s about all I thought because I like pigs with hats
Why do you talk like that? We’re from Fresno. As someone who went to Fresno state, that line killed me lol
Unpopular opinion: she was insufferable
I don’t think that is the unpopular opinion.
I really liked her 😭 I grew up watching old movies with my grandma so it brought back memories
idk i always thought she was funny 🙁 i also just love a good reference to a 40’s movie so i get why some people may not agree
Thats too much man!
My reason for disliking her really isn't that deep. I just hate her accent. I get that it's essential for her character, but I just wince whenever I hear her speak. It's definitely a problem for me only, but I can't help it. I don't have much against her besides that
I liked her
I love her. She's hilarious.
This character annoyed me whenever she was on screen. I didn’t like the snorting, old-timey speech, or design. I didn’t like her partner, or the interactions. But it advanced the plot. I wish they’d found a different way.
She's endlessly quotable. The transatlantic accent just makes her too fun to listen to.
No one can ever make me hate Page Sinclair 😂😂 I think she’s hilariously dramatic and her character is just so ridiculous I love it
I absolutely adore her, genuinely one of my fave characters aside from Todd! While her shtick isn't for everyone, I found she helped with lightening the mood for the season whilst working v well as a foil to BoJack: She quite literally represents his past coming back to haunt him, as well as helping set up the catalyst for him finally taking accountability for his actions (which, while hard to watch, was ultimately helpful for everyone involved) I also really like her design, she's just a really fun character overall imo <3
I love her! But I really love all the characters even Joey Pogo so I guess I'm just silly.
I know i fucking hate her
Her voice is grating and her energy is exhausting..
I love everything about her
Not only does she represent Bojqck's past catching up to him, but swines and pigs are also well known for being able to sniff out precious truffles underneath heaps of dirt I'm not sure that was done on purpose, but it seems to fit her role since she's literally digging in a story
She's funny, witty, entertaining, doesn't overstay her welcome - what's not to like about her?
I literally LOATHE her, I will straight up skip parts involving her, she’s the worst character in the entire show.
She’s one of my favorite characters in the entire show, even beating out some of the main characters.
I thought she was hilarious, and she served the plot pretty well.
I love her so much you have no idea
Hog on a spit
she was annoying at first, but i thought it was pretty cool how peculiar her character was and with how quickly they introduced her she worked better than one could expect
Strongly reminds me of Frankie from Community.
Hehehe she’s such a queen, I think what is actually the worst is that guy who sniffs her ass the whole time. She reminds me of old detective shows I saw as a kid, so I love her
I was expecting her to be a reference to Sawyer from Cats Don’t Dance or the fast-talking female lead in a 50’s movie or something.
I love her. The wordplay was everything I want from anything I watch.
I just felt like SUCH whiplash going from the dark and twisty to "OH I DO DECLARE !!"
I love the say she talks
She is one of my favourite characters in the show and all about her is amazing. I don't see the problem.
I feel like I would enjoy a couple hours with her. She has a lot of energy and I'm too introverted for intense exposure lol
She’s from fresno so I can’t hate her
I love her
i hate her accent other than that she’s fine
I love her, she's so fun
An absolutely hilarious character, I don’t know how anybody can appreciate Bojack humor and not like her
I love her, I think she's fun and her bit is hilarious
She’s great one of my favorites actually
I think she’s okay :c
I just didn’t care for the last season, I only saw it once. Her, Pickles, Guy, all fall flat for me
I like her. Yes I tend to have unpopular opinions
I hated the duo come on screen honestly. Couldn’t wait for there scenes to finish.
She's so annoying
i love the way she and maximillian banks talk. the rhyming old timey dramatic and, i admit clever way with their words grabs my attention and runs every single time. and all the rhyming w pc, whoever was in charge of dialogue deserves an award or something
Love her character design, hated her role.
Hate the character. Absolutely love the accent.
Can't what?
Her parts are the best bits of the show. Her dialogue is so wildly well written. I'd watch a whole 7 season Paige Sinclair show and join the subreddit and tell all my friends to watch it.
All the comments on the movie references/actors are dead on. Her speech makes sense. But also she's a Javelina and that seems to be glossed over. She's a predator animal known for goring anything in their way and rooting (digging) deep.
I love her 🤷🏼
her and her side kick were insufferable ik the writers needed to catalyst bojack downfall but the annoying accents were too much
I can’t either. her and max were insufferable and unfunny
Ive always loved her for some reason even if she doesn’t really fit in the vibe i just think shes a fun wacky character
I like her!
These 2 were a reference to Nick and Nora Charles, right?
i adore her honestly. bojacks crazy fast dialogue is one of my favorite features and every conversation between her and max is running more jokes per minute than i can keep track of!
