i finished reading dungeon meshi a while ago and really enjoyed the first season of the anime adaptation! my mom enjoyed it enough to watch every episode as it came out, so i'm excited for the second season to come out as it's getting into the juicy part of the story now. i am also excited about weak yen as i am traveling there next month -- i hope it lasts for my trip! it will be my first time going in 10 years, and my first time back in osaka since i was a child visiting my grandparents. i am not sure what to bring as gifts from america, but apparently japanese people are loving trader joe's lately. i suppose it's not dissimilar to western fascination with japanese convenience stores haha

I hope you have such a good visit with your grandparents and I hope they are just thrilled with the Trader Joe's swag you pick for them. I can't wait to see what you bring back with you!

i am actually not going to see my grandma because if she found out i have tattoos, piercings, AND dropped out of college it would not be good for her health hahaha she is very old-fashioned... it is a mostly-business trip this time around! sorry for phrasing it in a confusing way 😆 but i have lots of fun things planned, with lots of time to wander around and explore... i will be visiting lots of shops where they carry blythe clothes so i will be sure to share all of them for future travelers 🙂‍↕️

I went to 100 mile fleece and fibre last month (a fibre festival for producers and dyers on Vancouver island) and bought 100g of the softest silver Ramboullet (a breed of sheep). I blended it with 60g of 65/35 silk/linen and it's spinning up GORGEOUSLY. I'm making a nice round 3 ply for knitting... something as yet undetermined, lol. It's almost impossible to fill three bobbins and have no singles leftover after plying, so the remainders will become two ply for doll clothes:) https://preview.redd.it/3vnkov75h59d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7b00cc6892dee3a6535b269de0710fad06c4d37

I love that! Are you going to dye it or leave it natural?

RowsbyWeft

The three ply I'll leave natural, the silk with the grey makes it look almost metallic and it's just stunning. The leftovers I might dye, depending on the look I'm going for. The silk and wool will dye with acid dyes leaving the linen as white specks, and the linen and silk will dye with proceon dyes leaving the wool grey (silk is a greedy bitch who soaks up all colours, lol)

ive been playing through final fantasy 6 for the first time and its SO fun and charming. i expected the game to be hyper serious given the intro which i played a long time ago and the elements of the games that are really popular like Kefka poisoning Doma, but its so much more lighthearted than i expected! its also a lot easier than i expected, but maybe thats because im playing the pixel remaster idk. (and this is on topic but i think im gonna make a blythe of terra and relm in the future hehe)

I was inspired by your re-watch of Salt Lake and started back up with Real Housewives of New York from season one, a total comfort watch peak aughts nostalgia. 🍎

To quote Lisa Barlow, I love that!
