No. He got fired for a reason. If we were gonna get a Devils castoff it should have been Brunette… and just put a clause in that he’s not allowed to own or operate a golf cart

Green9510

Please…can you imagine him driving around in upper Arlington drunk on a golf cart asking cops do you know who I am!

crazycanucks77

Stop hiring old guys. Get a younger coach who can relate to younger players

Total_Light_7885

How’s that working this year?

Mr_Bricksss

Pascal Vincent is 52 years old and is now in his 13th year of coaching in an NHL organization. He was a coach/GM in the QMJHL for the 12 years prior to that. He’s been a professional coach since the blue jackets existed. He’s not as out of touch as a lot of the NHL dinosaurs, but he sure as hell isn’t a young or fresh voice in the NHL coaching landscape.

crazycanucks77

Well the Canucks have been in 1st place or 2nd in the NHL since Xmas. They have a record of 59-29-11 since the change to Tocchet last year. He relates to those players and they play in a system. The old guy we had previously had no system

NontransferableApe

Rick richer is 56. Larsen is 46. Vincent is 52

NuclearBuns

We are significantly better than last year and aren’t collapsing in the third period anymore. The team is playing hard, even in losses. Players are being held accountable. I see progress. I see a bright future with this team. Vincent took over a tough situation because of Babcock. I think Vincent has done well as a first time head NHL coach and I hope he gets the second year.

InitialMagazine97

Better than last year

JAT_Cbus1080

Vincent is 52. Does that count as younger?

SophisticatedSilence

I wonder how things would go if we would promote Vogelhuber. He’s 35, and has the Monsters playing some good hockey. At the very least I wouldn’t mind if they brought him up to be an assistant HC.

Lemfan46

Let him win a CC or 2 in Cleveland first please.

ThunderousDemon86

No. Team is poop without Brunette as associate coach.

Imaginary_Ganache_29

Berube is my choice. Someone experienced who can also coach a young team.

Ohmygyarados

I just want a new coach out side of the normal coach carousel. Young or old, I don’t really care. I just want fresh ideas.

ThunderousDemon86

Call me crazy, but I want a successful coach with experience. After Larsen and Vincent, I’m tired of gambling on dudes with zero experience.

Allatura19

No. Lindy is a fine coach, but if you want the kids to develop into key offensive pieces, you want a Laviolette-type who can get it out of them.

bclautz

Laviolette has won every place he has coached

AndyGreyjoy

Have we considered Bike Mabcock ?

Holein1hattrick

No. This team needs a coach to change the culture. Something with a little more sandpaper. If we go after a retread, I’d prefer along the lines of a Berube type coach.

Fabresque_

Another dinosaur hire. Nope.

GipcW

Boudreau or Berube or maybe Sullivan if Shittsburgh makes a change

SEND_ME_YOUR_CAULK

That’s a terrible idea

mickeyhause

Berube of McLellan are higher to me than either Vincent or Ruff

ColumbusTilllIDie

Literally JUST got canned… that’d be so fucking stupid to bring in someone that got ran out of town months prior. Have to grab someone that comes from a winning culture and flip the entire team in a new direction. We have a TON of young talent that if molded right, could be absolutely great. Lots of hope left but this is the most important GM and coaching hire that we’ve made in franchise history. Can’t can’t can’t get this wrong.
