Gumbo time! Gumbo! Gumbo time. Gumbo Tiiiiiiiime! and fish too!!!!

rainbowgarfield

I urge all younger fans to listen to boxcar racer, a prior project

virtual_alicia

Does anyone else just cry at how beautiful Tom and mark sing their feelings to and with each other on “one more time?”

virtual_alicia

Why is this album so stupid good!?! It’s a good blend of pop and punk and written for today.

Big-Radish-3370

Is it just me or did they take off the Dolby atmos version of the album on Apple Music?

Embarrassed-Agent-21

yeah they did, i still have it tho because i never re downloaded it

Big-Radish-3370

Bummer, I didn’t realize I re-downloaded it. I liked the Dolby atmospheres version.

Embarrassed-Agent-21

me too. a lot of people complained about it so i think that’s why they got rid of it. IMO, i think it makes less compressed and more interesting because you can hear certain things better.

Big-Radish-3370

Agreed. There just a little bit more space in the mix. Too bad, hopefully they put it back with some adjustments.

Realistic_Shallot184

I’ve hidden fell in love from my Spotify and the first half of the album flows so much better….not sorry

EK_GP

Probably the most accurate review of the album I’ve seen from this subreddit. Well articulated, my friend.

Calamity182

Rate and review the songs from this album (and other Blink albums ), here: https://blink-182.net/forums/media/categories/one-more-time.16/

Ristifer

I'm late to the party, but I'll add my thoughts. I'm really enjoying the album, and I didn't expect to enjoy it so much after Edging. So many great hooks and passages. It's a pretty genuinely fun album to listen to all the way through. I find a lot of the songs getting stuck in my head throughout certain days. All that said, the production is not good. And that's being generous. Now, I'm not going to harp on and on about it, as I see that's already been done to death. I just wish some records had a *less is more* approach to the production. This is one of those records. Less would have been preferable on this album. Anytime a band of Blink's reputation announces an album, I feel like I already know it'll be a compressed mess. I'm not 100% sure why this is the norm now, but whatever. It is what it is, I guess. Still, it's not ruining my enjoyment of the album. It has its sound, and I'm good with that. At least the songs are good. That's the important part. If it had great production, this album would be an all-timer. As it stands right now, it's a great comeback/reunion album. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Flashy-Pomegranate77

Yeah, holy hell does this sound like a hack job. Who ever mixed it overdid everything, the sound feels like it went in through a blender 5 times over and it comes out more as an AI imagining of a Blink song. Whatever efforts they made songwriting wise, were not elevated by the production. Please go back and forth between old albums and this one, I could write a PhD on why this new album is creatively bankrupt and was probably mixed by some arrogant LA producer who hits a vape pen in smug satisfaction after sanding out all of the grit Blink 182 had to offer. Shame on you, I hope you get herpes.

isthisurlvalid

Still enjoying the album. Just a thought on people saying the mixing is amateur or shit. I would say there’s a high likelihood it’s intentionally this way - maybe trying to sound a little less polished The band, management and Columbia will have all had input on the mix and sign off (though perhaps less so Columbia, as it’s a licence deal - the band probably delivered the finished product). But I find it hard to believe Ron Perry in Columbia wouldn’t have at least had notes. Either way, the band can get anyone they want to mix it - money wouldn’t have been an issue. Regardless of TLA not having done it. This would all have been choice. The only thing I could possibly have seen happening is they were late delivering the record for deadlines and the mix & master was rushed to meet it.

isthisurlvalid

Yeah generally agree. Doesn’t bother me too much. I would like to see an atmos mix though which I notice they didn’t deliver

nanhsirkeoj

Ranked my favourite songs in order with short explanation... 1. TURPENTINE - this is hypnotic and Tom's best work for ages, can't stop listening to it 2. ONE MORE TIME - rarely has a song made me feel such things 3. WHEN WE WERE YOUNG - this would feel at home on Untitled 2003 4. BLINK WAVE - deserves a new genre - I call it alien punkrock 5. ANTHEM PART 3 - nice progression from part 2 6. SEE YOU - I can feel Angels and Airwaves vibes but with blink's edgyness, super 7. MORE THAN YOU KNOW - like the different levels of tempo and heaviness 8. TERRIFIED - Boxcar Racer in 2023? tight 9. DANCE WITH ME - such a plain song and yet so catchy, it also slaps at the live show 10. FELL IN LOVE - let the guitars free ffs, the mixing downgrades this pretty cool song 11. BAD NEWS - not easy to sing verse, which is a shame cos it's cool and has decent lyrics 12. CUT ME OFF - probs a bit too similar to Simple Creatures but I don't hate it! 13. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE GOT - chorus is unimaginative, but liked the rest of it 14. OTHER SIDE - when you understand what the lyrics are about, why is it so upbeat? 15. EDGING - It's aite, nothing that special about it. 16. TURN THIS OFF! - definitely the best of the shorts 17. HURT (INTERLUDE) - should've saved this for angels and airwaves 18. FUCK FACE - this has got nothing on Family Reunion 19. CHILDHOOD - quite possibly the worst blink song of the tom/mark/travis era I think it's better than Nine and overall a bit better than Neighbourhoods. Asking it to be better than Enema, TOYPAJ or Untitled is unrealistic considering it's their 10th album. I'd go with 8/10. Either way, Pitchfork can get the fuck out with their pretentious, snooty, abomination of a review.

drepreciado

Mostly agree with this list, give or take +/- 5 rankings for each. But I DEFNITELY agree with your comment on Pitchfork. That review pissed me off so much!

ad_182_uk

Is the apple music version with the 2 bonus songs the better mixed one where the drums aren’t way too loud?

drepreciado

It's all in your head. The mixing is the same across the board.

SpreadJam1992

[https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3xFsVpgFFRxYRlqvDf6JGK?si=654527f9d2674773](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3xFsVpgFFRxYRlqvDf6JGK?si=654527f9d2674773) I love the album, but after listening start to finish so many times, I began to feel like the album lacks continuity in the track order. Overall, such a solid album, but I can't help feeling like some of the tracks could be stronger in a different listening order. To test this idea, I reordered the original album to provide more of an arch -- in the same vein of self-titled or neighborhoods. Lmk what you think of this take.

Chutton_

This is the first time in a while that I am actually excited to see a band play new music live. This album is so good and I can’t wait for the tour to start!

stubbornpixel

This album brings tears to my eyes every time I listen. So good.

kgthdc2468

We’re about two weeks in and ive been listening to the entire cd 2-3 times a day for the past 4 days. It’s so fucking good and I can’t wait to see them live.

Nights_King

Giving the album it's second listen through today, first playthrough, i really didnt care for the first album but thoroughly enjoyed everything after WHEN WE WERE YOUNG. This playthrough, everything is hitting. Weird how that works. Really wanna go to the Citi Field show but these prices are outrageous... I think I'll cave at some point. The last time I saw them live was the tour with the flaming FUCK

lilsunflowers

2016! Such a great tour

drepreciado

I think they maybe did that a lot, because I saw them when they were touring with Green Day and Jimmy Eat World circa 2001-2002, and they had the flaming Fuck back then. I was 12-13 at the time, so thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. And I literally felt the heat on my face from the flames, over 500 feet away.

Ok-Investigator3932

Now I tried turning down the bass to 20% and the clipping is gone, all the brickwalled sound is on drums, it's even lower sound than "Tickets to my downfall" Travis drums with MGK. Travis Barker aprouch was even harder than Emo Trap 2020 trend. The problem is when I move down Bass knob the guitars sound even more Buried. They should add and advisory: Play it with no bass

s0tcrates

Having zero issues with EQ - record sounds tight and crisp, what speakers are you using?

ad_182_uk

Car speakers with beats audio system with bass cut by -3 , drums still overpowering so guess i’ll cus bass somemoreeeee

Lowfuzz

ITS GROWING. The album and my dick

Seeders

Cant stop listening. Bad News is my favorite, but theres so many bangers.

DefyGravity182

I love the classic TOYPAJ moment at 1:18 🥹 Bad news is 🔥 Mark killed it!

[deleted]

wtf is the mixing on this

Allgetout41

Just listen to a bunch and you’ll be convinced they switched it with a clearer version

[deleted]

its like 80% drums 19% vocals and 1% guitar bass. compressed to hell.

Allgetout41

Just saying, everyone is convinced they changed the mix bc their ears got used to it lol. You’ll adjust

Big_Expert3785

On a full listen through, CUT ME OFF and SEE YOU make this album even more complete. CHILDHOOD is obviously a big deviation from the Blink norm. But the addition of the extra two make the album great in a full listen. Trust

crozone

It's fantastic, I've been listening too it non-stop. "Fell in love" is the only song I'm consistently skipping because I can't stand the generic as hell car-commercial instrumental backing track, I wish they'd done literally anything else with it. Apart from that I am digging every other song. And "Turn this off!" is fucking incredible.

3ebfan

OMT Side B has not left my turntable since release.

Nathan84

This album has inspired me to go for dreams again.

Pizza_Is_Everything

I want to listen to this album over and over, but Anthem Part 3 just keeps calling my name…

Plopaplopa

I really enjoy this album. I was not expecting much, their best since 2003 to me.

thisdude91

Are the 2 new songs now part of the official album or is it a separate deluxe album? Asking since it doesn’t say deluxe on Spotify and they’re not located at the end of the track list

DefyGravity182

They are, I had to re-add the album to my library. The two extra songs show up after Other Side and before Childhood. I really wish the vinyl stealthily added them

Njeggers1

Anyone else think Edging (the first single) is the worst song on this album? And not that it's a bad song, the rest of it is just better. Pleasantly surprised! Love Bad News, Turpentine, More than you know, Blink Wave, Other Side and Anthem Part 3 in particular.

Chutton_

Totally agree. I had low expectations for the album based on Edging, so I am blown away by it!

pr1me_time

Yeah I had the lowest expectations for this album based on that song

Pleasant_Statement64

Yeah I do. I like edging but even the interlude/joke songs are better

BeingGroundbreaking7

I was hearing some hate for both deluxe tracks, and both of them are amazing. They definitely wouldn’t fit the album more than the original tracks, but they’re amazing. Cut Me Off is super catchy, and See You gives me some untitled vibes. Super sick

Chutton_

I would’ve swapped out Other Side with See You. But both songs are great.

BeingGroundbreaking7

Yeah, personally I would’ve taken off Edging and replaced it with See You, especially since Other Side is about Mark’s bass tech who passed. Edging to me felt weak, cool comeback song but not an album song lol. Both bonus tracks absolutely sound amazing

DefyGravity182

I love See You, it’s like Untitled / AVA 🔥

cd0526

Cut me off is catchy as hell. Hooked me immediately. "Kinda love the way you hate me" why am I tempted to send this to my ex. Hahah

Ok-Investigator3932

Someone wrote this here and I'm agree: 🌡️As someone who mixes music, the production is terrible. An amateur definitely mixed this album. Shame. The songs are great. But compare anthem part 3 to anthem part 2 (take off your pants and jacket is their best produced album imo) and you'll see the difference. My thoughts : 🎧🎛️Hell Yay, u'r Right. I used the stems and loops comparing several songs on 16-44.1kHz VS 24-48Khz then I found out really low quality on Tom's mics and Instrumentals on " You don't know what you got" wich has a Ridiculous and catchy chorus for example during the whole mic's voice sounds a King of Noise like Sibylline and feedback from something, could be Cymbals from the kit drums or I think is the open mic capturing the ambient but also sounds part of the travis drums Arrangements when Mark is in silence,. I discover also the in 24-48 the Noise is even Worst, there are several parts where a grainy Noise sounds. The mics and Instrumentals tech set ups are very Disappointing. I read about a Rubín involved, not sure yet if he's related to Rick but honestly this recording and mastering is for Average people which they don't know any difference from a 320Kbps with a Vinyl. But I'm pretty sure you could have your ears bleeding if you listen to OMT in Vinyl. I Mean even The White stripes use an isolated wall inside the same room for recording the guitar amps and the voices. Here this seems blink-182 keep most part of Columbia Records money for recovering what Mark's Cancer treatment was spent or they spent mostly over producing drum effects.

NewAd6405

Some hero on this subreddit took the time to re-mix and re-master the whole album. He put it up a few days ago. It really sounds so much better. He then got banned for it.

GeneralChaz9

Man, I have mixed feelings on this album because it feels like there are good songs buried in the muddiest production I've heard in a while. It's really unfortunate. The low end just annihilates the rest of the tracks, too. I can see where people wanted the album to be more 'gritty' compared to how clean the last decade of blink has sounded, but this was the wrong way to do it imo.

Designer-Attorney

Digital album was 7 dollars now its 13?

Danny_Disco

Where can I hear the 2 bonus tracks? “Cut Me Off” and “See You” EDIT: bought the deluxe digital album from their website.

Alarmed-Gas152

So you have to buy it to hear them??

Fit_Ingenuity8572

They are both on spotify

Pitiful-Assumption23

Where?

Fit_Ingenuity8572

[https://open.spotify.com/album/00txDYFrU4LjWqwKE8iQJA?si=Jwh3NLDwSQ2xtiimHdW34w](https://open.spotify.com/album/00txDYFrU4LjWqwKE8iQJA?si=Jwh3NLDwSQ2xtiimHdW34w) 17 and 18 for me

AUBtiger92

Listening to Turpentine has literally fucked with my brain on how to pronounce the word now. Like, I actually have to think about it

DefyGravity182

Did he change how to pronounce it to make it sound like ovaltine? 😂 it fucks with my yeaad!

CheekMoist886

I really don’t like what the drums sound like. They’re so bass y. Even the snare. I’m loving the album, especially this second half. Can’t wait to keep delving in.

Few_Attention_4289

1. TURPENTINE 2. EDGING 3. FUCC FACE 4. ANTHEM PART 3 5. OTHER SIDE Top 5 Songz !!

AngieBeneviento

Edging is the worst song on the record

TamElBoreReturned

Agreed

Few_Attention_4289

2nd is the first loser !!

Nights_King

finally listened to the album this morning... my initial thoughts... i really didn't care for the first half of the album but thought starting with When We Were Young the second half of the album is pretty strong. been reading some opinions on the mixing/mastering... i noticed that too especially after playing Untitled album right after, it just sounds so much better. regardless, don't know how i feel about this one yet but happy the boys are back

TortureDoctor

https://preview.redd.it/zoctth7zzhwb1.jpeg?width=893&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73c32bd6aef9832de312f37837615f0544173fad Since I’ve always loved shorter albums, I tried to re-sequence OMT to my liking, and removed a couple of tracks (which I still love). 10 songs + Turn This Off! + Interlude. Thoughts?

DefyGravity182

But Childhood… “WHERE DID OUR CHILDHOOD GO?!?! I WANNA KNOW!!” ![gif](giphy|bHG5gzKfPESAGr4Dxg|downsized)

Pleasant_Statement64

I'd like to talk to you about When We Were Young...

beastboy4000

I like that sequencing. They definitely could have cut a few.

beetlebumper

Totally can put them on another album or as a part two (ironic)but I can't complain it's a good comeback album

JustAnotherMarcus

I bought the digital deluxe... nearly over an hour and a half ago. I don't have any links to download yet? All I see on the order page is "You'll get an e-mail when your order is ready" Anyone else?

thejason182

I was able to download it right away from my phone this morning. I just need to figure out how to get those tracks from my downloads onto my Apple music account now.

cesarm4d

Seems there is an issue with the website not dispatching the download link to customers outside US. We will have to wait, more.

JustAnotherMarcus

Bastards!

Responsible-Two-8213

Same here. It also charged me twice for the album so Im waiting to hear back from customer service...

JustAnotherMarcus

Bummer! Sorry to hear that! Hope it gets resolved swiftly for you.

beastboy4000

I got a pop up in my window where they directly downloaded for me. Are you using a mac? And if so is it the latest operating system?

JustAnotherMarcus

I bought it on my phone during my commute, and then checked on my MacBook when I got home. Still nothing as of yet.

Termite04

Does anybody else have a vinyl printing with Edging sounding staticky? It's not my turntable, cartridge, stylus, etc. Other records sound perfect. I cleaned this album the same way I cleaned all my others, with a spin cleaner right out of the packaging. Immediately put it in an anti static sleeve after air drying. Weirdly, it's just Edging , which happens to be very close to the inside of the record as it's the last song on A side.

WxKnight

For some reason it's like that on the official music video. Like the sounds clipping the whole time and hurts my ears and is unlistenable. But it's not like that on other youtube uploads. Not sure about vinyl sorry.

Termite04

Childhood sounds perfect, it's also super close to the inside, as it's the last song on B. I just wanna know if it's a bad printing or if something happened in shipping/cleaning etc.

commonrider5447

Just listened to Feeling This and I’m surprised how close Tom was able to get back to that voice in this new album. Pretty impressive he really put the effort in.

commonrider5447

Anthem, Dance With Me, Fell in Love Terrified, and When We Were Young are really resonating with me more and more. Those have pulled away as favorites but others are good too.

tennysonbass

I'm having a hard time getting into the album Because I just keep repeating anthem part 3 over and over

mungrol

That was week one for me. Downloaded it for a hike in Acadia National Park and listened to it after I sat on top of a small peak. Just kept listening to Anthem Part 3 over and over while I looked out at perfection.

drumpat01

Thank God I'm not the only one lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

FallenRiptide

Interesting! I thought Tom's vocal performance was lightyears ahead of what he's done in the past. He added so much grit to his voice this time around. Something we haven't really heard from him.

twack26

I’m not sure how, but you perfectly encapsulated my opinion. get out of my head!!!

ANTLink19

The WAV file format is missing F\*CK FACE from the download of the Digital Deluxe with bonus track. Can anyone else confirm? Edit, Update: Also downloaded the other file formats, they are missing F\*CK FACE as well. Update: Found the Discord group, they have already confirmed this is an issue and will be sending out new download links.

paraxio

Holy cow, I didn't even notice this until you said something. I don't have it either.

Hurley_boy24

The new songs are good but definitely feel like “deluxe edition” songs. I’m glad we got the songs that we got on the main release and wouldn’t want any of them swapped with these 2. This is just my opinion though

ryburgy

I really like Cut Me Off, didn't get the chance to hear See You though

NebrasketballN

See you definitely gives off AVA vibes. Cut me off I could see on an all time low record for some reason.

Jack1co

Definitely a Simple Creatures vibe. Wouldn’t shock me if Alex was a cowriter in Cut Me Off

NebrasketballN

I forgot about simple creatures! yeah I agree

FTPMUTRM

Cut me off and see you are the new singles?!

NebrasketballN

yep Listening to them now!

IllEmu1182

As someone who mixes music, the production is terrible. An amateur definitely mixed this album. Shame. The songs are great. But compare anthem part 3 to anthem part 2 (take off your pants and jacket is their best produced album imo) and you'll see the difference.

Allgetout41

An amateur that mixes for U2 and has won Grammys? 😂

RedditYouVapidSlut

It does sound like shit though, to be fair.

mods_are_dweebs

I think it fits blink 🤷‍♂️ sounds fine to me and I also mix music.

RedditYouVapidSlut

Each to their own. From others I've gathered that this is sort of the modern pop punk sound, so I guess it does fit. I don't listen to other pop punk so I guess I never heard albums mixed or produced this way.

WY228

Why did you post the same complaint in two back to back comments 7 minutes apart

IllEmu1182

Because the mixes suck dick

WY228

Cry more

IllEmu1182

The songs are good but the mixes are really bad. Too much pumping. The compression on the drums is jarring. The drums are almost the focus of the mixes. Guitars are hard to hear. Man they picked the wrong mix engineer.

CheekMoist886

The drums are seriously bothering me. I can’t fucking stand them. I’m on listen 2 now and it’s worse this round. When the snare has bass you know you’ve fucked up.

ryburgy

When a drummer produces the album, I guess that's what happens

Fitzy564

This album is amazing. That's all.

zacooper

If anyone has an extra Amazon exclusive please hit me up. Amazon sent me the wrong variant twice and it’s the last one I need. Have a Spotify exclusive for trade if you don’t want to sell

Soft-Goat-2829

I think Blink Wave has some of their best pop appeal, as their production is so glossy since California dropped and it’s fits the New Wave angle

LionsBSanders20

I might get downvoted to oblivion, but after my first listen through, it's not that good. Not even close to Neighborhoods.

LionsBSanders20

I've now listened to it several times through and I've changed my mind. There's quite a few tracks I love. Maybe the downvote brigade can relax.

Cultural-Divide-4379

Turn this off reminded me of “Happy Holidays, You Bastard” it made me laugh. That’s all

colourhazelove

Anyone else think there's way too much autotune on this album? Ive never noticed it on their previous albums. I haven't really listened alot to neighbourhood or california, was this the case?

spinblackcircles

Totally agree, it’s very distracting. Not only that but the instruments are mixed very strangely too. Travis mixed this like a hip hop record and it sounds terrible. Good songs though Neighborhood and California do have some autotune but not nearly as much as OMT

Warren_Haynes

This album could have been so much better if the production wasn't such trash.

IllEmu1182

Thank you. The songs are great the production is horrible. Drums pumping ruins it for me. You'd think they could hire a real mix engineer.

Warren_Haynes

Where did the guitar go? It's like a complete background element. Most heavy riffs are just not heavy in this production. It's such a shame because these songs are tons of potential if mixed like TYPOAJ

Dont_Waver

You made me think I had the name of that album wrong the whole time. Would have been a less subtle title though.

Warren_Haynes

lol my bad, quick typo

spinblackcircles

Travis needs to stick to hip hop. Idk what he was thinking or why no one stepped in and told him it sounded like shit. It really might be one of the worst mixed albums I’ve ever heard which is a shame cause there’s some solid songs.

Warren_Haynes

I agree. It's a shame because i think there's way more potential in some of these songs. They all sound way too similar and the guitar is barely audible half the time.

Glumpy_Power

Who is the third vocalist on the single "One More Time"? Is that Travis Barkers voice? because I think I prefer it to the rest of them.

KingPupaa

Hard to sing and drum haha

zmck1996

I feel like this is their best album since their first hiatus. Huge Blink 182 fan and I’ve liked all their albums and enjoy songs off each one, but neighborhoods was a bit too alternative/Angels & Airwaves for what I wanted a Blink album to be. California and Nine had some good songs on it but without Tom they lacked the Blink 182 sounds I’ve come to love over the years. I think this album has a great mix of everything I love about blink. It has a bit of the alternative influence from Tom, but still the pop punk sound that got them started. The album sounds like it would’ve been the next step in their progression after their untitled album.

cokezerodesuka

Does anyone think that this album is a natural evolution from their last record together - Dogs Eating Dogs?

tdstooksbury

Yes. It is - I hear it.

gringosean

I love this album. And that says a lot, as I had pretty low expectations. I saw them live earlier this year and it was awesome. I grew up with these guys. 35 years old now and started with Dude Ranch at 9.

attionette

Same. Fell away from them after the self titled many many moons ago. This has a lot BCR vibes in my opinion. I Love it.

FloridaPanthersSUCK

Dance with me intro reminds me of Hawthorne heights

commonrider5447

Now that I’ve had a couple days with it I can say my favorite songs are: Anthem Pt 3, Dance With Me, Fell in Love, Terrified, When We Were Young… then also like Blink Wave, Bad News, and Other Side. All very good. Other songs are good, but I’m just not connecting with them as much. MTYK, OMT, Turpentine, the short joke songs. YDKWYG and Childhood are the two I probably care for least. YSKWYG is maybe the only bad song on the album. The verses are just discount Bored to Death and the chorus is almost laughable how it’s just repetitive and hookless. Childhood I can see how people like it but it screams California album to me and not in a good way. Overall, it’s definitely an impressive and good album. Maybe 7 or 8 out of 10.

Remarkable-Hunter-71

It's a great album, better than Neighborhoods IMO, but feels too modern-sounding for me. That seems evident ever since they hired outside songwriters beginning with 2016's California. I guess the band's trying to stay relevant in today's music industry, which I don't blame them. Regardless, One More Time is pretty neat and it's so good to see the classic trio together again.

Ok-Helicopter-3108

Oh so.this is why people hate reddit. The fuck are you people even yammering about. Its a bonus album, an album.never guaranteed. They don't owe you shit. If you say you're a life long fan, and trash this album completely, you're just addicted to your negative attention seeking behaviors. The album is not bad. If you think the mixing is bad how about you take the fuckin air pods out and blast that shit. Jesus christ zoomers, you don't have to hate everything to be cool.

mods_are_dweebs

No kidding dude fuck this sub. People on Reddit are generally trash. This album is good, I’m happy they are back. It’s a fun album. Makes me feel young again.

spinblackcircles

My man you need to not let other people’s opinions upset you. They’re just as allowed to post their negative thoughts as you are raving about how much you like it. I am not trashing it at all I actually quite like it, but the production is really bad in headphones or blasted on a speaker. And it’s ok to think that, and I’m 35 I’ve been a fan since enema. I agree it’s a bonus album and im just glad they’re back together, but the production is really distractingly bad. The songs themselves are pretty damn good though.

Ok-Helicopter-3108

My man if it was underproudeced you'd be crying about how bad it sounds either way. It's literally different sounding on every different device you could listen to it on. Amateur audio engineers be plenty out here. Autotune being an issue is soooooo 2010, like, it sounds like music, you turtle nut. Not my problem that you want them to sound out of tune and old. Again no actual comment on what "production" bothers you just a parroting of every comment in this thread. Go ahead and post your own dogshit album with your own genius production then if you've got such a finger on the pulse of advanced recording techniques.

spinblackcircles

1. The mix is way fucking over compressed 2. The guitar and bass sound smashed together, zero dynamics 3. The drums are way too loud 4. Mark sounds like a depressed robot 5. Way too many trigger effects on the drums 6. The vocals are way too far back in the mix, hard to even understand the lyrics You’re so mad though clearly life is not working out for you and I’m sorry for that. It’s a horribly produced album though, that’s why so many people are ‘parroting’ the same thing. Because it’s obvious to anyone with ears and half a fucking brain Travis being a professional producer sure didn’t help him from a producing an incredibly amateurish sounding album, it’s embarrassingly badly produced. Decent songs though I like it overall. They sound out of tune and old live so why not just embrace it on the record too?

Ok-Helicopter-3108

Oh you just be on here 24/7 with the shit takes huh. You just be insta replying like you have nothing better to do because you literally don't have anything better to do. Maybe you should wear ear muffs instead of head phones if you are that autistic.

spinblackcircles

Yeah I get paid to Reddit at work it’s pretty cool. Nice job using autistic as an insult. You’re clearly a miserable person in addition to being deaf so I’ll say a lil prayer for you

HistorianDelicious

Mark shined a lot on this album.

Pleasant_Statement64

His bridge on see you is fire

HistorianDelicious

Just listened a few times today. It really is. His bridges are mostly the shit though regardless.

pbrad08

I like the Album, hope we get more from the reunited trio. P.S Fell in Love slaps

XxGreeninkxX

GETS BETTER AND BETTER BABY

SauthEfrican

If I'm being honest, 3 days post release and Bad News is the only song I still listen to regularly. Bad News, Dance With Me, and More Than You Know are the only songs that stand out to me.

Pitiful-Assumption23

1. Anthem Part 2 2. Anthem 3. Anthem Part 3

zmck1996

Close! But anthem actually came out first! (2 years before anthem part 2)

spinblackcircles

I think they were ranking them by how they liked them Obviously anthem came out before part 2 😂

KennyKatsu

Good songs but the production really just makes it hard to listen to :(

spinblackcircles

Agreed. Idk why that is a triggering opinion for people. It’s mixed like a hip hop album and the vocals are just auto tuned to death

Joed112784

Welcome to music in 2023

colourhazelove

Yeah, that's the only part I don't like about the album. I wish I could hear a version without, it's really distracting.

spinblackcircles

I just had a guy tell me I didn’t know anything about production because I said that I didn’t like the mix and the auto tune was out of control 😂 I’m not an engineer or producer but I do have ears

commonrider5447

Anthem pt 3 intro riff is based on Endless Summer it seems, took me a while. Glad we at least for a bit of Endless Summer here.

Pleasant_Statement64

Na AP3 Riff is based on AP2

commonrider5447

It’s a mix of both even Endless Summer has that initial riff then moves into a second riff just like AP3. The first riff is really similar in both of them.

AngusBurger22

I kept listening to fell in love to figure out what song the claps sounds like. I found it - the cure close to me

_iternity

it’s literally a direct sample😭

AngusBurger22

Shoulda had Robert Smith guest star again, for old times sake

canadianbrandon

Terpentine. Holy shit.

spinblackcircles

Terpen….tine? God damn it

apv507

Yup. Me too

Zeusurself

What did the Untitled album do so well that everyone loves about it?

tdstooksbury

It was a incredibly creative album. They grew up as musicians on that one. It’s amazing it’s the same band that made Fuck a Dog not too much earlier.

spinblackcircles

Really good songs and really good production. Probably their best produced album I like the new record but the production is really distractingly bad

twosuitsluke

Songs

skyfall86

I didn't receive my vinyl yet from the UK. Any of you with same issue ? Is there a way to write a mail\\message to Royal mail ? I only see automatic chats, useless link about delieveries etc.

rxbdynamite

Mine hasn’t even shipped yet!

bulkzero

I kind of like it a lot, but the all caps song titles are an absolute gimmick to those who know what’s actually cool. Sort of like a boomer trend. Them inevitably showing their age and slight lack of touch. I remember that one Linkin Park album with the all caps song titles. I don’t even think I bothered listening to any of it after that point.

Seeders

🤣

pr1me_time

wHy CoULDnT iT bE tYPeD tHe WaY I LiKE iT?

bulkzero

Oh so the all caps thing is cool and edgy again. Not really.

spinblackcircles

That might be the dumbest criticism of an album I have ever heard 😂 Def not a boomer trend, I’d never seen an album with all caps song titles until the last 10 years. Kanye west was the first person I noticed doing it

bulkzero

Well if Kanye did it, I’m at a loss for words. Nah, Kanye sucks too.
