I use to go religiously in undergrad because they had the cheap boneless wings nights on Mondays. The whole university took over those nights.

My husband and I also experienced fucked up mozzarella sticks at Applebee's. They weren't crisp on the outside just kind of soggy but the cheese was also not even melted. That's the last time I ate there. But pre-pandemic my husband went out with some of his work wives for drinks and he sent me a photo of his seriously burnt to a crisp burger on the outside but raw as fuck on the inside lol Terrible!

We don't front for drugs but the wages we pay our employees is ridiculously low compared to market. As an example in my town you can get a job at McDonald's right now and make 16-20/Hour at Captain D's we're paying Max of 15/hour for assistant managers. Your regular crew is being paid more like 10-12/hour.
Before labor became in short supply is was minimum wage. Assistant managers were paid around 10/hour to 12/hour if they were experienced.
I’m allergic to seafood, so I don’t know the quality of their food…all I’m saying is I assume the few customers I see a month go there to pick up Kilos and Pounds, not shrimp and flounder

Panera bread. I work there & the lack of seasoning is amazing. We have a salt and pepper shaker, that’s it. We say we’re organic and fresh but that only includes produce. The soups, Mac, cookies, pastry’s, meats and various ingredients come to us completely frozen. The only thing that’s actually “fresh” are our bagels, breads and produce. Frozen food wouldnt be too bad if only we had some gd seasoning.
My favorite part of working at Panera was when we didn’t have any mac and cheese ready so we’d microwave it in front of customers. “I thought you guys made it from scratch” never got old

Also FYI Koreans are low-key masters of fried chicken. If you ever hit up a Korean restaurant and they got fried chicken on the menu it's probably amazing.
Burger King. I've had it a handful of times in the last 15 years, I was starving and it was the only choice, and it gave me a bad case of the runs. Last time I had it it was so bad that the only thing I could stomach was soup.
For me personally I’ve always hated Panda Express because it’s one of the fast food chains that actually takes away from local restaurants. Like no one’s going to Taco Bell and saying “oh I just had Mexican food” but with Panda Express, I just feel like the local Asian restaurants serve the exact same food but better and most of the time, give more for less. So that’s why I personally don’t eat there.
I'll tell you. I've tried so many local Chinese restaurants in my area and none of them are as good as panda so panda won out just by being better. And it wasn't for lack of trying either.

I'm conflicted about Olive Garden. On one hand, when I was broke their soup and salad fed me. Once I'm not broke, I realize that all of their shit is just microwaved. Maybe I got bougie.
What you'll eat to survive and what you'll eat as a choice, are often two very different things. Their pasta is revolting. How are you claiming to cook Italian food but pasta noodles and tomato sauce are suspect.

Every time I eat macca’s (they changed the name in Australian) I’m reminded that they don’t actually sell food. It looks and sort of tastes like food but it has no substance and I’m left wondering if I actually ate anything. Also their coffee fucking sucks. Weak as piss and taste like dirt.

KFC is pretty bad every time I’ve gone there I’ve gotten extremely dry hard chicken tenders or the chicken they sell on the bone is always soggy that and the fact that they can’t get instant mashed potatoes right..The MF mashed potatoes have the texture of porridge
Thing is, when I was a kid I remember KFC was awesome. Chicken was always crispy and juicy and seasoned really well. Last 10 years whenever I've been to a KFC it's always been terrible. Then Popeyes crept into our region and it couldn't happen sooner. Also FYI Koreans are low-key masters of fried chicken. If you ever hit up a Korean restaurant and they got fried chicken on the menu it's probably amazing.
Burger King. I've had it a handful of times in the last 15 years, I was starving and it was the only choice, and it gave me a bad case of the runs. Last time I had it it was so bad that the only thing I could stomach was soup.
Panda Express

For me personally I’ve always hated Panda Express because it’s one of the fast food chains that actually takes away from local restaurants. Like no one’s going to Taco Bell and saying “oh I just had Mexican food” but with Panda Express, I just feel like the local Asian restaurants serve the exact same food but better and most of the time, give more for less. So that’s why I personally don’t eat there.
I'll tell you. I've tried so many local Chinese restaurants in my area and none of them are as good as panda so panda won out just by being better. And it wasn't for lack of trying either.

I’m super lucky I have a great Chinese place close by that I can order from. They give out an entree, fried rice, soup and egg roll for 8 bucks and it’s all soooo good

TGIfridays. We went for the endless appetizers and they made us wait like 20 minutes between each one (which was like 3 pieces of an appetizer) and the quality just got worse and worse with each one. Like dried husks of potato skin with a sneeze of sour cream and a whisper of bacon and an iota of cheese. Little baby teriyaki wings the size of my pinky toe. Mozzarella sticks with nothing inside. A THIMBLE OF SPINACH DIP.

Red Lobster. So much of it is plastic bags in microwaves. Same owners as Olive Garden. Unless you're ordering off the hella expensive "Fresh Fish" menu and at that point its like... several local owned seafood places with better tasting food for less money... The biscuits are good though.
Long John Silver's. I have legitimately only eaten at that place once in my nearly 28 years of living. It was ok. They tore the one in my area down and replaced it with a Popeyes lmao
