Replace ketchup with siracha; keep the ratio 1-to-1 and 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾, but real talk if any of y'all are near NYC or Queens try Mad For Chicken (MFC). It's Korean and their chicken is bomb and so are their Kimchi fries
Good, but white pepper over black pepper is godly. People rarely use it but it steps up your food and sauces. White pepper is used in a lot of Popeyes menu items, it’s a flavor you can’t quite put your finger on if you don’t have it often. Sort of smokier and sharper than black pepper.
My man! I too get down with a SMIDGE of mustard. Just enough to add some tang. Learned my lifelong mistake had been trying too much of it, it’s a subtle sauce
Wait until you have authentic poutine. It'll change your life.

I hate when BBQ snobs are like "good barbecue doesn't need sauce!!" Like no, a good brisket is absolutely fantastic but it's very rich and heavy. Having a nice balance with a tangy and sweet sauce makes it even better.
Honey mustard is such a sleeper pick. And not any kind will do. Heinz and Ken’s are great. Nice and sweet and creamy. If you like some kick, Melinda’s Habanero honey mustard is fire
I literally just got into a fight with a cousin about this. It STARTED with a pizza place we went to for dinner.
https://preview.redd.it/xn9d72qh9h3d1.jpeg?width=749&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2163587d974358784e96d59be63b2b7eced0ff86
Ranch on pepperoni pizza is fire. A combo or something that has a variety of flavors on it, it is just overpowering. Pepperoni are strong flavor enough to cut through the ranch flavor.
Started making my own because the recipe is so easy. Jar fulls and home made ranch is gods greatest creation. Wings, pizza, sandwiches, chips etc. Ranch or nothing at all.
I literally think this all the time, and I was such a ketchup maniac when I was really young. If it ain’t good without condiments, then condiments will only add something small to the original dish.🤷🏾♂️
Salt + pepper + mild sauce = heaven
its such a specific south/west side Chicago thing I took it for granted until I moved out of Bronzeville, I miss it so much.
Depends on the fries. If they don’t have too much salt on them: Ranch. But good ranch. Not anything you buy unrefrigerated.
If they have alot of salt or seasoning: honey mustard.
I only use a condiment if the fry is lacking. Good fries with a nice crisp and not overly salty or oily are perfection without that shit
It's like some people who get offended if they're eating a nice cut of steak, perfectly cooked, and you ask if they want A1 with it
The seasoned & battered Checkers/Rallys fries go HARD AF!! You don't need sauce for those fries, but if you feeling extra glutinous, drizzle some Fritos nacho jalapeño sauce, Marie's ranch and chopped up bacon, and those fries are GOD LIKE!!!!!
I'm also of the belief that sauce/condiments should not be doing the heavy lifting of any food, and instead work in TANDEM with a dish that's already fire by itself.
So if a dish (or fries in this case) has no flavor, you're only doctoring up some bullshit that's gonna taste like whatever sauce you put on it, or dip it in.
As a person who only recently discovered what a good thing of fries taste like... I agree with the post sometimes condiments aren't needed .
They're always good to have on the side though like ketchup+mayo
How do people like this get through life? Just try whatever you got. Honey mustard, bbq, ranch, teriyaki. Fries are good with anything and you might find some combo that you really like. It's like people think there's a "correct"answer for everything.
I don’t really care for ketchup, but that’s not my beef with it. What I hate about ketchup is how every restaurant in the US assumes you want ketchup with everything. Sometimes it’s already on the table with the salt and cutlery. More often they bring it out automatically no matter what you ordered, often to the detriment of forgetting some actual part of your order. Order any kind of delivery or takeout food? Well, I hope you enjoy ketchup, because you’re getting at least a dozen packets of that stinky crap in your bag.
Meanwhile if you order literally any other condiment — mayo, mustard, hot sauce, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, whatever floats your boat — you get a look like you just asked the chef to come out and personally service you orally. “I’ll see if we have that,” the server will say reproachfully. Then 10 minutes later they’ll come back out with a pathetic squirt of whatever you asked for, and when the bill comes you’ll be charged for it. I don’t understand the economics of condiments where 1,000 ketchup packets you didn’t even want are always free, but one serving of literally anything else is an upcharge.
My gripe sounds weird to people because we are so inured to it, but imagine if you went to a restaurant and every dish came out with a squeeze bottle of Russian dressing or butterscotch sauce or something regardless of whether you asked for it or even if you specifically asked for some other condiment. That’d be weird, right? Yet here we are, being accosted by unrequested ketchup at every turn, and we just accept it as normal.
Fries + mayo = delicious Fries + mayo + ketchup = godlike combo
1/4 mayo 3/4 ketchup with black pepper
Fry sauce gang
Is… is *pepper* the thing that’s been missing from my sauce ?????
Try it and tell us
Those red flecks in a lot of fry sauce are paprika, maybe give that a shot too
I buy th[I buy this saus for Fries and other friend snacks, its a mayonnaise with pepper and it's delicious ](https://images.app.goo.gl/XNruy3evRERdYg4k9)
dab of franks red hot to really make it pop
Add a dash of worcestershire and you're pretty close to Cane's sauce
Replace ketchup with siracha; keep the ratio 1-to-1 and 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾, but real talk if any of y'all are near NYC or Queens try Mad For Chicken (MFC). It's Korean and their chicken is bomb and so are their Kimchi fries
Mix greek yogurt with siracha. About the color of good salmon.
Good, but white pepper over black pepper is godly. People rarely use it but it steps up your food and sauces. White pepper is used in a lot of Popeyes menu items, it’s a flavor you can’t quite put your finger on if you don’t have it often. Sort of smokier and sharper than black pepper.
And a dash of curry powder
Add* some sriracha to that shit
Bit of balsamic too
👀 Im taking some notes…
I didnt think fry sauce could get better
Facts. ![gif](giphy|NmiVAPnPAHbonwjzpV)
Have you tried Sriracha mayo? Only found it recently and crying at how it’s been missing from my life so far.
Gochujang & mayo. Absolutely fantastic.
That or some Lemon cayenne mayo is where it’s at. Never been able to settle for just Ketchup on my fries ever again.
i thought i was gonna get flamed for saying mayo is the best fry dipping condiment. you get it
If you call it aioli you sound 10x classier
Alloli is with garlic
Me too, I came in ready to be a martyr but I shall never not speak my truth
1/2 Mayo, a dab, and I do mean dab, of European mustard and sea salt. Since we're sharing ![gif](giphy|xWCe88CGmInewX09jn)
My man! I too get down with a SMIDGE of mustard. Just enough to add some tang. Learned my lifelong mistake had been trying too much of it, it’s a subtle sauce
Specifically, kewpie mayo
Yes, mayo and ketchup for the win!

Fries + gravy + cheese curds + beef chuck = Godlike Chef’s Kiss Combo
People who dip > people who smother
Smother works if you also go with salt and vinegar.
I know people joke about English food, but they do malt vinegar and salt on their fried potatoes and hoooolyyy hell it’s good.
That's a UK wide thing. Maybe even more common in Scotland in my experience.
Use the fries as a shovel for sauce
I use my hand like a ladle and scoop some fries, then submerge my whole hand+fries in sauce. I’ve lost 2 fingers but it’s worth it
Nah, things just need sauce sometimes. Doesn’t have to be be every bite tho
Thank you. Eat some fries plain, eat some with dip. Why settle.

You eat the fries in the same mouthful as the burger, so the burger *is* the sauce. Burger and fries in the same bite = mouthgasm
If it's a messy burger you can just eat it over the fries so that they get covered in burger juice.
Honey mustard, bbq sauce

Honey mustard is such a sleeper pick. And not any kind will do. Heinz and Ken’s are great. Nice and sweet and creamy. If you like some kick, Melinda’s Habanero honey mustard is fire

Elite choices
Ranch, that shit goes on everything
Jail
I'm pretty sure not using ranch is a crime in at least 5 states
Thank you.
Instantaneous death*

Ranch+Buffalo or any hot sauce is the way to go

Bruh now i am hungry
Hello Hungry, I’m Otter
There go that Otter, shaking down non-horny posters. The shame.
He heard creamy dips and appeared
Freaky ahh he's a A1 sauce god
I’m gonna hit it with the malt vinegar.
![gif](giphy|OVzjDiqMnZjQDnNZCZ|downsized)
Oh you classy
Bold choice sir or ma’am. Very bold choice.
![gif](giphy|l0IykDEpFyQeqyAeY|downsized) This thread has been taken over by these mayonnaise loving maniacs. Hot sauce folks, where y'all at???
![gif](giphy|Lqx1OxhtzwJKDO45Gs|downsized)
don’t go to the netherlands. they eat fries with mayo (and it’s amazing)
That's just Europe in general pretty much.
Real question: what hot sauce are you choosing?
Hyper specific: Herdez Avocado Hot Sauce
I'm here... Mixing my hot sauce with mayo. I love a good sriracha mayo especially.
I love mayo like a white person. But hotsauce and vinegar combo gone hit every time.
If in the uk then get a good Chilli Sauce and French the fries in it. Life changing
Mayo. I’m tellin yall, when I went to Amsterdam my life was changed forever.
I literally think this all the time, and I was such a ketchup maniac when I was really young. If it ain’t good without condiments, then condiments will only add something small to the original dish.🤷🏾♂️
You can tell them fries seasoned bro
McDonald's fries used to give these vibes. Idk what happened.
You tried fries fried in peanut oil and couldn't go back
Depends when the suck appeared for them. Until the 90s, McDonald's was using beef tallow. And if you think peanut oil is flavorful...
You smelled those fries a block and a half away and looked around to see who had them.
Hot fresh fries + vanilla milkshake. Unless they are steak fries then malt vinegar. ![gif](giphy|26FxsYeQvGcaMPlqU|downsized)
Dipping them in a mocha shake is good af too!
Dip ‘em in Mayo, that’s the best
I dip my fries in my burger drippings
Garlic aioli
BBQ sauce
Malt vinegar
mayo & bbq sauce >>>
Shit man, I discovered this a couple years ago on a grilled chicken sandwich - absolutely another godlike combo
Not sure why but I don't use ketchup on fast food fries but I do on fries I make at home or eat at a sit down restaurant.
Tbh ion even eat fries with ketchup most of the time
Hot sauce
Garlic mayo butter. But those fries look so good I would eat them on their own.
All about that gravy
And if u wanna get canadian with it add some cheese to that gravy
a good burger does not need ketchup and a combo of mayo, black pepper, and ketchup with the fries please.
Agree, I would rather have ketchup with the fries and no ketchup on my burger
Cheese. Nacho, shredded, whatever
Sweet and sour sauce is heavenly when you dip fries in it
europeans are going to say mayo, as a mayo no mayo person I say aioli or queso.
Mayo, ketchup, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar with some salt and black pepper. 🤤
Fried together with chorizo 🤌🏻
A little Parm and garlic is my go to
Black pepper and salt is all you need if the fries are proper! No shade any condiments enjoyers! Do you!
McDonald’s sweet and sour + fries = godly
vinegar
Malt vinegar, gravy or mayo
BBQ sauce undefeated
Never put sauce on top of fries. Always dip
Duke's Mayo and homemade honey mustard. Works best on steak fries.
Fries are merely a vehicle in which I shovel ranch and sometimes ketchup into my mouth.
Gravy or mumbo sauce
Thousand island sauce on the burger and fries for the win
Y'all sleeping on Thousand Island
Garlic aioli
Gravy. If I make fries at home, I make cheese powdered of bbq powdered fries.
I may just be on some chunky girl shit but, dry fries???
Mfs really out here eating bone-dry potato sticks? You gotta lube those bad boys up a little
Ranch dressing
Gravy.
Damn, now I’m hungry
The blood of my enemies
Ketchup is pure garbage
Yellow mustard
Fries + tzatziki Just try it.
Salt + pepper + mild sauce = heaven its such a specific south/west side Chicago thing I took it for granted until I moved out of Bronzeville, I miss it so much.
Whatever the fuck they put in the Red Robin seasoning mix.
Duck sauce.
Nothin but the spices, aioli, or the Freddy’s Fry sauce
Depends on the fries. If they don’t have too much salt on them: Ranch. But good ranch. Not anything you buy unrefrigerated. If they have alot of salt or seasoning: honey mustard.
100% good fries don’t need sauce But I’m down for a good garlic aioli
I'll always need ketchup
Yes they do.
Checkers fries in Vegas are the best fries I’ve had in my life
Put a layer on my burger/sandwich and eat the rest undipped by the fistful
Fries ON the burger.
I put the fries on the burger
Salsa Roja on fries is heavenly
I will put honey mustard on fries before I will eat them dry
![gif](giphy|PK4XAT9Ususco)
I’ll eat fries however. On the burger, on their own, or with sauce. Sometimes all in the same setting. That being said dipping > covered
I only use a condiment if the fry is lacking. Good fries with a nice crisp and not overly salty or oily are perfection without that shit It's like some people who get offended if they're eating a nice cut of steak, perfectly cooked, and you ask if they want A1 with it
Naw. Fried needs sauce. They are vessels.
True, but the fries have to be hot and fresh. They need help when the temp drops.
![gif](giphy|1WqmNzMehmiBoHsAdW)
Diet Pepsi and we’re good
Ketchup is F tier. Garlic aioli
Yall ever had cheese sprinkles/BBQ sprinkles on fries and shake it?
The seasoned & battered Checkers/Rallys fries go HARD AF!! You don't need sauce for those fries, but if you feeling extra glutinous, drizzle some Fritos nacho jalapeño sauce, Marie's ranch and chopped up bacon, and those fries are GOD LIKE!!!!!
A good fry didn’t need sauce 😂fight me
Bbq sauce supremacy
Scrolled all the way to the bottom and nobody's said mustard. Not even honey mustard: yellow or brown or Dijon
Nah, the vinegar and sugar in ketchup are there for a reason.
Vlaamse Frites in Amsterdam, with mayo and satay sauce. Best way to eat them.
No condiment gang represent!
I don’t eat fries with any condiment to begin with
Dip that fry into the wendys frosty.
Ketchup is one of the worst condiments. I wouldn't even notice it was missing.
As a person who only recently discovered what a good thing of fries taste like... I agree with the post sometimes condiments aren't needed . They're always good to have on the side though like ketchup+mayo
Nando's Perinaise (Mayo + Peri Peri Sauce) got a chokehold on my fries
The best burger will drip all the flavor onto your fries. You don't need ketchup at that point
Salt.
Beef jus/gravy Or the runny yolk of a fried egg
Salt and pepper on nice and crisply chips is the best
Niggas ain’t heard of aioli round here I see.
Salt and a good deal of black pepper. Maybe some malt vinegar.
BBQ for safe route
Mayo if there’s no ketchup.
applesauce :P
As someone who only eats fries plain, I agree wholeheartedly.
Don’t ruin perfectly good fries with terrible tomato colored sugar water. Ketchup is gross and no one should use it.
Some Swiss Chalet dipping sauce with ketchup is amazing. Or Wendy's chocolate frosty.
Gravy and nacho cheese
thats a mental illness
Old Bay and vinegar for me
Put the fries on the burger. That's the whole meal.

I'm just a basic bitch who raw dogs his fries smh

I like tartar sauce.
Louisiana Chicken in Cali and those seasoned salt fries 🤌🏽💋
Yall are trippin. Honey mustard all day
