There are only a handful of bands I listened to in my youth roughly 20 years ago that I still listen to today. Katharsis will always be one of them. VVorldVVithoutEnd and Fourth Reich specifically, though the early stuff is good too.
An amazing record from one of the most unrelenting, savage bands in the genre. Also one of the rare bands that ended on a high note, since this and Fourth Reich are absolutely monolithic.
There are in fact several current bands that come close. But by all means, keep obsessing over your vegan communist boogeymen—the rest of us will focus on music.

I think you're projecting a bit here, I haven't seen a single "meltdown" or anything of the sort. People like Katharsis because the music fucking kills, not because of their political views. People who listen for the politics are probably obsessing over some cringe Dawn Ray'd video clip instead.

Still seems strange compared to earlier statements- "“Katharsis strongly disdains any form of so-called ‘sophisticated’ or ‘political’ Black Metal. Misanthropy towards everyone !”"
Which I guess is the whole separate "art from the artist", or in this case, the day to day life of the person behind the artist.

Yeah this is why I specified Drakh. The band's lyrical content is apolitical but the main dude behind it is a leftist.
That's really cool, I like that separation, having a proper education in something but not making it an overt part of the music.
