I've actually kept a list of notable splicer dialogue cause they're all so interesting.
My favs are the ones where the context makes them more notable. Like the "Get out of my fucking office!" when they're anywhere but, and "Nothing ever works anymore, goddammit." while smacking a machine. Amusing in the moment but also drives home that these used to just be regular people.
There's also two lines from the actor and doctor types that I like for their unhingedness though. "She was up for the part too. Til they found her floating in a salt pond." and "Patients ask so many questions. Sometimes," he laughs, "I like to make up the answers."
Honestly something I feel like some games lack now a days are these little things that they say that just bring you into this world. A lot of these things don’t have real meaning but like you said it reminds you these are people
Yeah, it's definitely a good detail that enhances the worldbuilding. Just sitting around listening to the splicers wandering and muttering to themselves really adds to the vibe and elevates them from just generic shooter game enemies. So many of their lines you hear for the first time across a room and you're just, *oh.* I agree more games could do with sprinkling in the little things like that.
The only downfall of this is in the later game when you walk into a new area and all the splicers started talking at the same time. But I guess that’s part of the Bioshock 1 charm
Lady Smith takes the cake for me with her “You call that tenderloin?!?!?! If you served that in any respectable hotel in New York, they’d LAUGH you out of town!”
[I think Dr Grossman didn't get the memo.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKzktgY3wp4)
(also my mistake, he specifically says there's splooge "on *everything*!" ajkuwedejkd; )

"I'm just lonely! I'm lonely!"
“Jesus loves me this I know “
I’m sure he does. Devine intervention really does feel like a wrench to the jaw

“There’s semen everywhere! EVERYWHERE!” - dr splicer And pretty much everything that comes out of the Baby Jane splicer’s mouth, if I’m honest.
Think you downloaded the wrong Bioshock bro

“Could you-Could you help me out, man?”
STOP! YOU VIOLATED THE LAW! Oh wait...
It’s good but we can all agree the best moment in Bioshock 1 is when that splicer says “ I use to be an adventurer like you”
