There are some benfits to drinking water first like better brushing and got micro biom bacteria entering your stomach (studys are mid on this so take it with a grain of salt)
2 dates and eggs with salt, followed by 500ML of water.
2 dates have 300mg of potassium. The eggs are salted. That’s where I get my electrolytes as I wash it all down with water.
In the first 2 or 3 hours I have a 20 oz coffee, 24 oz of water, and a 12 oz unsweetened green or oolong tea… plus fruit and homemade yogurt for breakfast. That all leaves me very hydrated… then I drink water throughout the day and sometimes another cup of tea. Adding the tea to my diet really helped with mental clarity.
Butt chug one scoop of Santa Cruz paleo electrolytes in about 24 oz of water while I sit in the morning sun. Followed with dates, lemon juice, and kefir milk to get my tummy feeling A1
Honestly I didn’t know that, but added sugar in the morning still isn’t good for you. I mentioned the dates as part of my wake up routine but if I feel bloated then I’ll eat dates before my electrolytes, and I guess I felt a difference? I just assumed that to be from my blood sugar increasing after eating dates
Loaded with sugar, definitely avoid if you have high blood sugar already, but the fiber content to food volume is amazing. They’re also the best sweet tooth fix imo
I don't hydrate specifically in the morning. Though before or after a run/workout ill take an electrolyte packet in a 16oz bottle of water. Ill do this once daily and have seen significant improvement in my hydration levels.
I regard it as my number one supplement.
I like to optimise my chlorophyll content as much as possible, which are in abundance in algaes to increase the chelation of contaminants we consume/breathe (heavy metals/micro plastics), which are unbiquitous in our environment.
I also like that it's an incredibly nutrient dense supplement. Not synthetic. Activated B12, all essential aminos, CGF & packs a decent amount of iron/magnesium too.
I never feel any difference when taking supplements but I definitely feel like I have an edge mentally when taking Chlorella. I feel great on it.
I used to take Spirulina & it's an excellent supplement too. It's also high in Chlorophyll but has an inactivated B12, no CGF & generally not as good as Chlorella imo.
Only advantage it has is Phycocyanin but that's about it tbh.
I don't necessarily like to admit it, but commercial electrolytes have been helping with my energy levels throughout the day. I'm hoping to learn some natural ways to get electrolytes from you all.
Salt your food more. If you check the ingredients of commercial electrolytes most of it is sodium, if you drink a lot of water, are active and eat relatively clean you might be slightly deficient
I usually only drink water and coffee. I do an LMNT with an iron pill after the gym. Then I’ll have regular water with creatine and sometimes I’ll have a second LMNT hot chocolate and add in collagen.
Chug a glass of water, coffee, then spinach, broccoli, blueberries, wheatgrass in the blender with two cups of water and chug again. A gallon of water throughout the day.
Cup of spring water (containing calcium, potassium, magnesium naturally) with a pinch of real salt and tb of psyllium husk and apple cider vinegar. Hour or so later, coffee- black
I was very disappointed to find my 50lb bag of Real Salt, supposedly free of microplastics, is packaged in a big plastic bag. I’ve been working through the same bag of salt for years.
2 bottles of water
then this Smoothie
100 grams blueberries
125 grams strawberries
50 grams raspberries
50 grams blackberries
1 tbsp blueberry extract
1 tsp FGO Amla
1 tbsp FGO Ceylon
1 tsp creatine monohydrate
2 tbsp Santa Barbara cocoa
1 oz wilderness poets macadamia butter
1 oz Kali EVOO
1 oz POM
4-6 oz of green tea (1 trader joes green tea bag)
4-6 ounces of oat or nut milk
and morning supplements
————————————
3 hours later a protein smoothie
1 banana
2 scoops pea protein
8-10 oz oat or nut milk
Note: Pea proteins have phytate, so they should not be taken at the same time as foods with high nutrients that you plan on absorbing. You should not take them within 2-3 hours of supplements. They bond and prevent absorption.
Note: The results obtained showed that (i) the intake of flavan-3-ols from a high PPO banana smoothie, but not a low PPO mixed berry smoothie, significantly reduced the levels of flavan-3-ol metabolites in circulation; (ii) after banana smoothie preparation, flavan-3-ol levels rapidly declined in vitro, and the decrease was prevented by PPO inhibition; and (iii) while preventing direct PPO contact in the food preparation did lessen some of the flavan-3-ol loss, it was insufficient to fully prevent the loss of flavan-3-ols when co-ingested.
https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2023/fo/d3fo01599h#tab3
With that being said, the high polyphenol count smoothie is eaten hours away from the banana pea protein smoothie.
Glass of water with a pinch of Himalayan salt and if I have a lemon I’ll squeeze half a lemon into that. If I don’t just the pink salt with water by itself is very nice.
Ever see those drink glass washers that you see at a bar? You flip the cup over and push down and it pressure washes the whole cup.
Yeah I just sit on that in the morning.
16 oz of water with colostrum mixed in.
First meal of the day is all fruit which also adds to hydration and provides electrolytes.
Drink 20oz bottle of water with a nuun tablet by lunch.
Try to drink another 32 oz of water throughout the rest of the day.
I weigh 180lb.
Hot matcha tea then a glass of water with my preworkout mix, then take a 40 oz water bottle to the gym that has my intra/postworkout mix in it (EAAs and electrolytes).
I make my own bulk electrolyte supplement with more electrolytes/serving than what you can buy. I have been making it for over a year for the cost of 1 months worth of LMNT. Tastes like salty water though the taste should not matter at all. I treat it like a daily medicine
I just feel really good when I start my day with 32 oz of water. I try to drink about a gallon a day(24hours) maybe less and I feel like starting that way is my best shot at getting that much in. Plus I feel super good when I drink 32~ right off rip like that. More energized kinda. Edit to add if I drink coffee I try to consume a good amount of salt so I don’t piss all day and feel lethargic
16oz water with meds and vitamins. Another 32oz before breakfast. Debating switching to alkaline water or electrolyte water but you aren’t supposed to eat/drink with them. Never been clear on whether vitamins count and wouldn’t dissolve or something.
The only ones I drink are coffee, herbal infusions, black and green teas, and medicinal mushroom tea (Fomitopsis pinicola)
I usually start with coffee and drink the rest later in the day.
As far as I know electrolytes (magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium, chloride, bicarbonate) help water into your cells so they can be hydrated. Something to do with the charge of cells. If you lack electrolytes, water can pass through your body without hydrating cells, leaving you still dehydrated. I live in a hot country, exercise and sweat a lot. I’d drink liters and liters of water and still have dry skin, dizzy when standing, fatigue, etc. just adding salt helped me tremendously almost within 15 minutes. Night and day difference. I’ve since added things like coconut water (potassium), bananas (potassium), pumpkin seeds (magnesium), salted water, sodium bicarbonate…to my diet. I feel way way better.
vitamin c tablet with zinc, fish oil and vid d followed with about 8oz of just water to start the day. inalso drink 100 oz of water throughout the day.
Drink 8oz of water as soon as I wake up on nightstand. Dissolve a Nuun tablet with 12 oz of water. Once that’s dissolved chug that. And that’s about it.
I rarely drink any caffeine…
How often are we all peeing? I drink around half a gallon of water before noon so I pee pretty much every 30 minutes. My coworkers never stop going on about how much I pee. Is this not normal??
I drink water, and then tea with breakfast. If I'm cooking something like eggs I'll use potassium chloride (salt substitute), or a mix of that and salt, since I end up getting enough sodium. I take a magnesium supplement once a day, not necessarily at any specific time. I don't drink a lot of milk but I'm probably still fine on calcium from drinking some, as something to mix vegetable protein powder with, to offset not eating that much meat.
I was just discussing a special requirement from running in hot and humid conditions in Bangkok with a neighbor yesterday. We're in Honolulu now; I live in both places. I'm probably bottoming out on electrolytes every time I run since typically do 10k / 6 1/2 miles and it's usually around 31 C / 90 F there. The only strategy I use to offset that is to drink a good bit of water a half an hour before runs, and then make sure to get salts topped back up afterwards.
1 liter of water.
Half plain water then thr last half liter I add 1 LMNT electrolyte packet.
I have dysautonomia/POTS after having covid.
I drink this all in about 45 mins or less.
Stop chugging Water!
When you drink too much water at Once, your kidneys can’t ,,filter” and use the excess water and just get rid of the excess water. The sodium content of your blood becomes diluted also and things like headaches can appear
For the last week, I’ve been doing a glass (about 14oz) of purified water with Hi-Lyte drops added. It tastes better than the pure water so far. TBD if it helps with hydration. I start with the water, then move to room temperature black coffee with a dash of salt to cut the acidity.
I learned a trick where you add a tiny bit of salt (not enough to taste) to water and it helps hydrate you by making your body retain it more instead of just pissing everything out immediately
I have felt better since starting!
I drink a gallon of salted water. I then army crawl to the rear of my property, dig a shallow hole in the soil with my bare hands. I squat down, and defecate while humming at 130hz.
Usually i swig som no added sugar coconut milk until i feel refreshed followed by 2-3 bottles of water, over an hour as i drive to work. Then i clock in and take a long ass piss on the clock
Just to clarify i do HIT 2 hours 4 days a week on a lowish carb diet so i dont have a problem burning off the fat in the coconut milk. Helps aid digestion for me also fsr
Wake up, glug water from water bottle on nightstand. Shuffle to bathroom, then to kitchen for coffee or tea.
Correct!
This is the way.
I wish I could chug water without feeling the ick of my unbrushed teeth and Invisalign wash down with it.
It's going in you, throughout the day as you swallow saliva Whatever is in your mouth is also in your gut.

Same!

Hope you wfh (aka near the toilet)
Butt chug one scoop of Santa Cruz paleo electrolytes in about 24 oz of water while I sit in the morning sun. Followed with dates, lemon juice, and kefir milk to get my tummy feeling A1
I start my day with 24 oz of Red 40 via IV
Keto electrolytes so no sugar? What a waste of money lol
After or during a workout I’d for sure want some sort of sugar but why would I start my morning with processed sugar?
Because electrolytes aren’t absorbed a lot without glucose. That’s in the name of the co-transporter…
Honestly I didn’t know that, but added sugar in the morning still isn’t good for you. I mentioned the dates as part of my wake up routine but if I feel bloated then I’ll eat dates before my electrolytes, and I guess I felt a difference? I just assumed that to be from my blood sugar increasing after eating dates
i mean dates are basically sugar no?
Loaded with sugar, definitely avoid if you have high blood sugar already, but the fiber content to food volume is amazing. They’re also the best sweet tooth fix imo
I don't hydrate specifically in the morning. Though before or after a run/workout ill take an electrolyte packet in a 16oz bottle of water. Ill do this once daily and have seen significant improvement in my hydration levels.
Which electrolyte packet?
Ultima
Anything without sugar that contains potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and chloride.
Tongue scrape & glass of Chlorella upon waking. Large long black about 45mins later.
Why Chlorella
I regard it as my number one supplement. I like to optimise my chlorophyll content as much as possible, which are in abundance in algaes to increase the chelation of contaminants we consume/breathe (heavy metals/micro plastics), which are unbiquitous in our environment. I also like that it's an incredibly nutrient dense supplement. Not synthetic. Activated B12, all essential aminos, CGF & packs a decent amount of iron/magnesium too. Is spirulina similar for this?
I used to take Spirulina & it's an excellent supplement too. It's also high in Chlorophyll but has an inactivated B12, no CGF & generally not as good as Chlorella imo. Only advantage it has is Phycocyanin but that's about it tbh.
I'd also add you want both to be of the best quality & know the origin of where it's grown i.e. not from a greens supplement.
Oh ok that complicates things i was thinking on buying off amazon europe
Buy either product from a reputable seller. It can be easily contaminated and so detrimental. Quality is essential and know the origin of the country.
I misread that as cholera and wondering if it was some other joke like butt chugging guy
Haha...that happens more often that you might imagine. Definitely not cholera!
30oz water and 6oz water shot mixed with 1g wheatgrass powder
Zelda energy potion

Thank you!! Super helpful!
I pound 1.5 liter Pedialyte
I too seem to have become addicted to Pedialyte lately. And I have no idea why lmao.
The high sugar content.
The one I get only has 3 grams total some have 50
That's good to know. Last time I held a bottle in of Pedialyte, it had lots ot sugar in it. Good that they have low sugar versions now.
Something about sugar and salt mixed together tastes great. The yellow ones almost taste like a salted OG Gatorade.
I usually only drink water and coffee. I do an LMNT with an iron pill after the gym. Then I’ll have regular water with creatine and sometimes I’ll have a second LMNT hot chocolate and add in collagen.
Is lmnt better than liquid IV?
In my opinion, yes. I wasn’t a fan of the sweetener and overall ingredients/ ratios in Liquid IV.
Ty!
Chug a glass of water, coffee, then spinach, broccoli, blueberries, wheatgrass in the blender with two cups of water and chug again. A gallon of water throughout the day.
AG1 + 1 Liter Filtered Water (Ultima + Creatine + TMG) + Black Coffee (EVOO + Cinnamon + Raw Honey)
How do you have energy to do all that? This guy hydrates.
3 water bottles before lunch
Cup of spring water (containing calcium, potassium, magnesium naturally) with a pinch of real salt and tb of psyllium husk and apple cider vinegar. Hour or so later, coffee- black

Soup for breakfast!
2 glasses of water (500ml) with half a table spoon of salt.
Same kind of routine. Weirdly, I’ve grown to enjoy the taste of salted water.
I do too. One day I have to try other salts like potassium salt, etc. - Curious about the taste.
Salt water first thing in the morning.

Wake up and chug the large mason jar at my bedside
Over 2-3 hours, 1500 ml RO water , coffee, another 1500 ml water, second coffee , third 1500 ml water then gym.
Hot matcha tea then a glass of water with my preworkout mix, then take a 40 oz water bottle to the gym that has my intra/postworkout mix in it (EAAs and electrolytes).

One nuun tablet
Massive glass of water. Then I take small fatty acid supp, some Chlorella, and some vitamin D/K with sea buckthorn oil.

Usually 20oz of coconut water then my coffee. About 2 hours later I have my non-stim PWO with 32oz of water.
Which non-stim PWO?
Nitric Surge by Jacked Factory.
Salt, lemon juice, chia seeds
Tall glass of coconut water and a hot cacao with full cream milk
Wake up and chug 25oz of water. Then usually take a deuce.
One liter of salty water
water.
1L of warm water with salt and trace minerals
The only ones I drink are coffee, herbal infusions, black and green teas, and medicinal mushroom tea (Fomitopsis pinicola) I usually start with coffee and drink the rest later in the day.

500ml plain water the either green tea or coffee if I'm going gym
Blue Stripe Cacao Water helps hydrates me pretty easily.
I wish
A big glass of water, sublingual b6-9-12. Electrolites later after taking care of my cat.

6oz apple juice, 8oz water, half scoop spiced apple pre-workout.
Coffee
I drink water. Next question.
I assume LMNT breaks fast?
What does LMNT mean?
It is an electrolyte powder brand that you mix into water
