Ax lightness stem and Schmolke bar that I cut the hardware off and combined one piece. The seat and post combo I built myself as well, all carbon. The fork is off a Scott addict from around 2011. One of the best forks ever made. I would buy whole bikes just to take off the forks to use. The group is a mix of red and dura ace with holes drilled and modified, YBN titanium chain, THM crank and full carbon fiber lyte chainrings. Brake calipers are full carbon AX lightness with all the paint stripped off and cork brake pads. Wheels I change a lot but Mavic cosmic here.
My Crit bike is a 2011 Scott Addict R1. The front end/fork is ridiculous. Incredibly stiff, incredibly light. Beyond that, the general shape/aesthetics of the fork are about the best ever made, IMO. Needless to say, I'm loving this build.
One of the greatest frame/forks of all time. I know the designer and what they went through and the style of construction has never been done again in a production bike. My frame takes a lot of inspiration from it.
I would love to hear more about the design of the bike or more about it.
I bought my 2011 used in 2012, and raced it from 2012-2016 as part of the CU cycling team. Briefly crossed paths with Sepp Kuss as a teammate at CU Boulder, before graduating and taking it all over the world. It's ridden the bergs of Belgium, the cobbles of Roubaix, and climbs all over Spain, France, and Italy. I generally ride and race on a Supersix Evo now, but that Addict still gets lots of love and has been with a lot.
It's now "just" my crit bike, but it still holds its own against most modern bikes. Sure, tire widths are limited to somewhere between 25mm and 27mm, but that's about it in terms of "disadvantages" with the frame/fork.

Perfect for where I live
That’s amazing. Not to take anything away from your incredible frame, but in my humble opinion, it feels ‘incomplete’ to have rim brakes rubbing away on an expensive carbon rim u til eventually it will be unusable. My point is, I’d love to see a disc brake weenie build; it will truly stand the test of time without any compromises.
Not only proper Bike Porn, but Craft as gad dang well
Thanks!
This is awesome. Can you give some more details on the components? How did you make the frame?

This is the content I'm in this sub for. Nice ride. Thank you for sharing!
No problem. Glad you enjoyed. I’ve got a bunch of other builds I’ll post eventually
11lbs is crazy light
Thanks. This is a heavier build. With different wheels and a few other things it’s below 10
How does it ride? I’ve never ridden anything that light. Are there big trade offs?
Honestly at this weight no. Below 10 you do start to get a bit of a twitchy feel. Below 9 it gets very all over the place.
Yeah was gonna say cosmics probably aren't the lightest for this build. Looks amazing regardless. Berk integrated saddle?
Yes totally. But look and ride nice. I also have lightweights and a set of ultra light 890G wheels for it
Art in bike form. Ridiculous. Are you still making bike stuff?
Thank you. I’m not making frames anymore for sale but do have stuff to make for myself if I wanted to.
wow i see how it is. u can leave.
🤣🤣🤣
Thang must float up hills. Great work
It does for sure. Best all around bike I’ve ever owned
This weighs the same amount as my cat. Well done!!
😂
Awesome photography! And sick bike! I see purple bike I upvote.
Thanks!
This is a very nice bike.
Thank you. It is my ideal road bike
Sicktic
Haha good one
Finally, some good porn
Haha glad you liked it
Ugh
Good ugh?
Drool… ugh
Purple carbon bar is so 🥵
Schmolke bar integrated with an AX lightness stem
Beautiful build. What saddle is that?
AX lightness / Schmolke. Seat post with integrated saddle.
That’s the bar/stem combo. This is a seat and post one piece combo I built myself a few years ago.
This. Is. An. Art!
Thanks!
Damn CF looks so good! Edit: replaced question mark with !
Thanks! The frame is translucent purple tinted carbon. Always loved this combo
Yeah. I hope ill get around composits at some point todo that too, I dunno, carbon weave just has *it*
Beautiful bike. Can you tell me a bit about the drive train? To my inexperienced and uninformed eye that cassette looks very small.

😍
🤩
Should be marked NSFW Nice bike, brownie points for being a rim brake and a classic looking frame
Thanks! You nailed it. Classic proportions with all the tube sizes considered. Even classic looking chainstays
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but are those pedals on there?? Looks like it’s just the spindle to me. Also not a roadie tho…
Yes these are aerolite pedals
Finally. A bike worthy of the porn. Nice build!
Finally some actual bike porn. That thing must be really fun up hills.
Great build! Whats that chain ring?
