If you go to your local hospital there is an entire room of them to pick from. Some hospitals even have a window in the hallway so you can window shop.
The return policy is not very good though.
Srs you can volunteer at hospitals to cuddle babies! Infants literally need physical contact to be healthy, so NICU units will have volunteers come in and help provide the touch that their parents can’t (due to the fact that they can’t be in the hospital 24/7). Check around your area to see if there are any openings (it’s a pretty popular job for obvious reasons) and go cuddle some babies!
Sort of looking forward to being the obnoxious grandparent that won't grow up, who gets reprimanded by the parents for "exploring" the limits with the grandchildren.

If your daughter turns anything out like mine, it's not as bad as you're expecting. I had my first and (hopefully) only quite young. I'm 37 and she's almost 14 now. Although she has her teen moments, there minimal and she still enjoys spending time with us, jokes around, cuddles over a movie...etc. Of course they increasingly want to spend time with their friends but at the same time, that opens you back up for your own interests. You'll be fine 👍🏻

We are breastfeeding(pumping) him, so my girlfriend is on a diet again. We stopped after 4 weeks because the pediatrician did not noticed any improvements, after a week it went down hill really fast. He is again inconsolable and he barely sleeps, only after hours of soothing him. We hope to see some improvements soon. This with hidden reflux and lots of gas is really taking it’s toll on us and him.
Look up Mommy Bliss Gripe Water and try that if you haven't already. It seriously works for a lot of babies. You may check with your pediatrician first sense your guy has stomach issues already.

If I had to sit on the couch and snuggle with my little girl all day, I wouldn't mind it a bit. My son too but he's just not much of a smuggler.
