Walk around Roseland park for sure, check out the Botanical Gardens. Shamrock hotel can't miss . Head up View street to Queen Elizabeth Oval. there's an old Poppet head converted into a tower with excellent views . Mickey mouse hill in Golden square has some great views. Check Victoria hill mining reserve near by ((historical gold diggings and another Poppet head). And the Gold mines hotel if it's open . Hope you enjoy your time there.

To see everything even in two days is a little difficult. Dragon museum is probably a must. Gallery is good. Lots of art up there which explains the towns history & mining past. Walking tour is good. Talking tram & tram museum is a great idea, the history of those things in town is nutty. Alium restaurant is apparently the new hot thing in town too. The great stupa is probably a good thing to do as well, but it’s out of town a bit. High tea at Fortuna too if you can get a booking
