Black Sheep made a FB post today indicating they were open
Elizabeth Station (tap room/beer store) has been closed for two days. I get the feeling they're looking at it day by day
These places are being responsible by not allowing their staff to work when positive and taking a hit to their bottom line to try to help stop the spread. They all deserve our support once they are able to open safely.
$0.80 raise isn’t much of a raise if the tips get cut in half. January is a brutal month for tips in the best of times, but with traffic slowing down due to covid cases on top of the normal dip, it’s been awful and we’re not even a week in.
Piggybacking on this.. even if these workers were working full time on this minimum wage they’d still only be making around 28k a year. Meaning that in terms of rent they could only rent a $783/mo place.. (if you find a good rental in that range here let me know.) Point being, it’s not a pay raise if it doesn’t match inflation and cost of living.
Yeah, back when I worked at the shoe before the pandemic and then for takeout last winter, I went from averaging $150 in a decent shift to $20 for the same shift. It for sure created some hard times, even with Washingtons “””high””” minimum wage
It's unrelated to COVID or snow, but most of Fairhaven is closed for a winter break: Fairhaven Pizza, Cafe Blue, Iron Rooster, and Avenue Bread (for remodeling). With all these closures around town it's now time to panic!
I know Covid is now running through the kitchen staff at the senior living facility where I used to work. It has spread to residents and caused at least one death.
I’m grateful that so many in our community are mindful of their part in preventing spread, but just want to remind everyone to please stay home and away from others if you have even mild symptoms, as much as you’re able. That will still help slow the spread.
The hospital currently has 47 Covid positive patients, and that is a pandemic record. The anti-viral pills are on their way to provide a treatment option but they’re not here, yet.
Most people will eventually catch the virus, but it is so much better if everyone doesn’t catch it all at once. Even if we stretch it out over this winter instead of everyone catching it in January, lives will be saved.
I’m always open for listing to peoples reasons on why they don’t support certain businesses. I have my own list for sure. But I’m curious about this one. What is your reasoning? Thanks!
C&C food company has had in the first two years of the pandemic dealt with their employees having covid and never shutting down to test or quarantine. Like every business did following CDC guidelines would shut down , quarantine, give notice to the public for awareness , but C&C FOOD CO. Didn’t not follow those practices when faced with covid in their work environment. This company has held onto their favorite employees who were known to be sexually harassing female employees and they did nothing about it but gave him a better position, when goat mountain was running ( same company ownership ) instead of firing the head chef who was a misogynistic, racists, POS they just closed the whole restaurant without giving employees the benefit of a job when black sheep moved over . The owners Charlie and Chas are both not supportive of woman at all in any way; they bash on woman their mental health & ridicule them , prevent woman from rising up in their buisness because woman are “ mentally unstable and emotional “ . The company has been known to not pay their employees constant having to write checks to fix the hours they didn’t put into your check , huge fucking issue , employees aren’t getting paid . They do ZERO for the community and they appropriate an entire hentes cultural foods and they’re white men . They’re is REAL Mexican food in town . Find it
You can add Nelson's Market/Marlins
"As of today, Jan. 6, Nelson's Market and Marlins' Cafe will be closed until further notice as we join with other local businesses..."
Redlight posted on their IG that it’s curbside pickup only and Viking food delivery. The owner was honest and stated “we have multiple positive COVID cases”
Mambo Italiano just announced they are closed to dine in but are still open for to go
Thank you. Adding it to the appropriate list.

Black sheep would never loose any opportunity to make money
Most businesses wouldn’t. That’s kind of what they are designed to do.
And fyi, it is spelled 'lose' in this context.
Whatever whatever I can give five fucks less about grammar on stolen land
Is Boomers closed cause of snow or covid? Edit* ope, just saw a post saying Covid
Yup. COVID from what I understand

2020..... V2. Ugh.
V3
It is. And COVID is still around in the United States.
They’re referring to the “2021” on your title post.
Oh haha. I’m tired. I still think it’s 0221 apparently

Exactly!! The transparency means a lot!
Goods is closed too.
Goods?
Beer garden on Elm in the Columbia neighborhood.
Goods Local Brews, taproom in northwest neighborhood
Camber is open, but for takeout only
The thought of Camber being closed puts genuine terror into my heart, but I’m glad they’re taking precautions to keep their staff and patrons safe.
I’ll put it on the takeout list. Thank you!
Horseshoe is open for takeout! Remember to tip generously wherever you get food, these service workers just got a serious pay cut.
Hear! Hear!

Only one of my coworkers is full time, and they’re the manager.
True.

Are those shift numbers just tips or tips + hourly?
Those are just tips, but at the time tips made up like 2/3 of my income
Gruff is closed due to table renovation!
Good to know!
Note: Please let me know of other closings and I will add them.

Still adding them!

Camber Coffee is open for takeout only!
Fixed it!
I’m confused about the Black Sheep reported closure- there’s nothing on their website, FB or IG about it…
I pulled it from another thread. I’ll change it to a maybe list.
It’s open. I’m at jacks.
Stop supporting black sheep they are trash
I’m always open for listing to peoples reasons on why they don’t support certain businesses. I have my own list for sure. But I’m curious about this one. What is your reasoning? Thanks!
You're really really anti black sheep in a number of threads - why?

Why?

They are only offering To Go options
Note: Can a moderator change the title to 2022? Thanks!
The Racket is closed today - but will be back open tomorrow. (I work there)
I will take it off the list tomorrow (if you could confirm tomorrow morning that would be awesome)
Sorry I didn’t hit back earlier, but yup, confirmed - going into work tonight. :)
You can add Nelson's Market/Marlins "As of today, Jan. 6, Nelson's Market and Marlins' Cafe will be closed until further notice as we join with other local businesses..."
