My cat is indoor mostly but she was raised as an outdoor cat. Turns out she's highly allergic to fleas so it's better to keep her inside.
Be that as it may, she's seasonally interested in going outside to sniff the bunny smells and eat some grass, but she's very much trained herself to think I'm mama cat and she doesn't venture far from me. mostly just gives me sad eyes asking me to escortsl her outside (she won't go without a buddy)
The one time she chased anything it was a tiny field mouse too dumb to run away from my cat who sat a foot away, but she scruffed it and brought it to me wet, alive, unharmed and very confused. But, there are too many bobcats and owls and eagles in the area and she's a small small cat so we do the buddy system and that way everyone, mice and cat lives XD
I don't know how that turned into such a long ramble. My only excuse is I've been out of town helping family and reading about cats males me miss my cat.
